1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How to generate a seed/mnemonic of high quality? on: January 20, 2025, 08:17:47 PM
Hello Everyone,

First of all sorry if this question has already been ask. I know that we should use a CSPRNG
to generate the seed, but was wondering if some wallets (Desktop/Mobile/Hardware) are
able to produce more unpredictable random results than others. My feeling is that a computer
might be able to gain more entropy than a rudimentary piece of hardware. What is your feeling
about it? And how would you do to generate a secure HD wallet?

Hi,

I subscribed to BTC Magazine but only received the first issue in November. According to their website, subscribers get a new issue every 3 months. So, i think i should have receive something in February or March. I emailed them but didn't get any answer yet.

Therefore, i was wondering if some of you subscribed and if they encountered the same trouble...

Thanks

4  Economy / Collectibles / [Notice] Stolen Bitpiece coin - Public address to look out for on: February 24, 2017, 09:46:32 AM
Hello everyone,

I bought a BitPiece coin from Blazed (late January/early February). Funded: 0.25BTC, Graded: MS67
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1757577.0

I turns out that the coin never arrived and i assume that it has been lost/stolen in the postal system. If you came accross the coin, for instance if someone is selling it somewhere, please contact me immediately. Here is the specification of the coin.

First 7 characters of the public address displayed: 1Eym83S

Thanks a lot in advance.
5  Economy / Collectibles / What do you think about it? on: December 29, 2016, 05:10:21 PM
Hello everybody,

I came across this item:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-3-BITCOIN-Gift-Certificate-Free-Tracked-Delivery-BTC-/272499928843

I spoke to the seller and it turns out that he is indeed selling a physical bitcoin note with a public and private key on it.
However, he didn't answer me if the private key is hidden or at least if there is a way to know that no one already had access
to the private key.

Also, do you think that this kind of item may have an interest in itself (collectible purpose).

Thanks for your thoughts,

Best Regards.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Mining on Rapberry PI on: October 18, 2015, 02:15:01 PM
Hello everybody Smiley

I'm a happy owner of a "old" Raspberry Pi (model B, and not B+). I installed cgminer, and joined Slush's pool. I managed to make the USB ASIC miner block erupter 330MH/s working. However, the rewards i got are extremely low. Therefore, i was wondering which device i should buy, to get a reward superior to the power consumption. My budget is around $100, although the absolute maximum would be $160.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
