Many people confuse between the p2p lending system and IFC and MFI. In those cases the company acts as a lender and it’s dictating their conditions, which are unprofitable for the borrower. To obtain credit in a bank, it is necessary to collect a huge number of documents. Your credit can be also refused because of the lack of a credit rating.

SOFIN is the international P2P-platform which acts as an intermediator between the borrower and the lender, providing legal registration of the transaction, confirming the information about the participants. P2P lending platform SOFIN — an access to finances for everybody



SOFIN is a project of financial social network which grants an access to the peer-to-peer loans in fiat currencies. It’s a mutual benefit for both participating parties: ones are in the need of financial support, others are ready to lend. The platform itself is not a creditor.





The effectiveness of SOFIN is based on transparency and multi-level verification of borrowers. The platform allows both parties to negotiate the terms themselves, concerning the loan, the rate of interest, the duration and penalties.





The transactions are fully legal since they respect all of the regulations of the borrowers country of residence. The platform guarantees the transaction support, sends the notifications. In case of missing payments, due to the demand of creditor, it sends the data to debt collectors and sets the documents to the court.





The borrowers’ verification is done in four steps. These include the examination of documents, the phone call, the estimation of borrower’s credit history and the confirmation of employment. Both models are already working in the current projects of the team.





SOFIN is based on a blockchain — it allows to keep the verifiable information about all parties, their transactions and arrangements. The money conversion also is done at the platform. SOFIN plans to emit the tokens, which will be traded as a regular listing at the exchange and within the platform itself. The SOFIN tokens are planned to be used as bonuses and cashback for good lenders and trusted loaners with clear history. The will also be eligible for paying the commissions and compounding the loans.





Today, the peer-to-peer lending becomes more and more popular worldwide. The p-2-p platform has got a lot of advantages comparing to microcredit organizations and banks. The average rate is about 15-20% per year, and that is much less than microcredit organizations offer (up to 600%!) Just want to inform all, that R4 and S9 control boards are compatible and accepts opposite firmware.

Tested on R4 with 9 hash board connectors (3 populated) -> moved to S9 and flashed latest fw for S9
S9 controller board with 16 hash board connectors (4 populated) -> moved to double R4 (all four hash boards with one S9 controller in R4 case). Left original S9 firmware.

Both S9 and R4 controllers are compatible dimensions and can be swapped. R4 ribbon cables needs to be removed from tray (they are a bit shorter, but usable).
S9 firmware requires TWO FANs or it will stop hashing.

Hi, I am back with some info about R4 dead boards.

I bought R4 batch 4 and tried if it can be tweaked a bit, but I applied changes during warming-up phase which killed one of hashboard with ASIC count=0 error.

I tried many restarts and tweaking of Config.ini script, but without success. There is "single-board-test" program which test ASIC count, cores and reliability, but it also check firmware checksum. During my resuscitation both hashboards showed many times incorrect firmware in PIC (usual problem in S7, but R4 will re-flash it automatically) and very random behaviour.

Some errors collected during restarts:

PIC has not written default frequency. (automatic search did not work, sometimes it found 20 ASIC, sometimes more).
PIC voltage 790 varying up to 940
chain 7 (J8) ASIC count 0
incorrect temperature reading
sometimes it just freezed

After several hours of restarting and running "single-board-test" I think each ASIC has its frequency written in PIC, each board has also maximum voltage set, so it is not probable it will be possible to overclock the board without cracking PIC firmware. Crash seems to be happening on I2C communication with PIC controller with more than one hash board connected.

TLDR:

I found solution by unplugging one board and run miner only with ONE board until it warm-up and start hashing. After that I did the same with second board. Both boards worked, so I plugget them together and miner started with both boards running as new. Check kernel log for ASIC=63 during warming-up phase.

Hope this will help you before you decide to send whole R4 unit to HK.

Hello, it's been a while since my last hack. Now I am much more lazy, so no soldering tool will be used, but if you wish to, you are welcome.

This repair is intended for all batches of S9, except batch 17+ which I didn't tested yet. Main reason was that my S9 refused to work at full speed (550Mhz) and showed a lot of "xxx" chips. Lowering frequency helped to get all chips hashing well. My boards are out of warranty, so I suggest you to not do it while you have RMA period.

This guide also helps another issue with poorly soldered inductor and whole hash board disappearing from miner status.

Here is detailed hashboard with voltage converter:

Firstly, look at your board and measure voltage across capacitor pins (mark A in the picture). It must be done while your miner is hashing (so at least 30s after booting). Voltage should be about 8.5-8.9V. If not, check carefully pins of inductor (mark B). If you see it is not fully soldered or you see some cracks, you will need to clean inductor wire and resolder it back.

And now, let's go to voltage adjusting hack based on LM27402 datasheet and tested my me:

measure resistor R10 resistance (mark C). Mine shows 4.86kOhm. Lowering this resistance increases voltage of whole chain, if you use pencil mod and draw on the top of R10, you will decrease its resistance. Be careful, small adjust will change voltage relatively high. Resistance of 4.5KOhm rise voltage to about 9.6V across chain.

If you want to use soldering tools, you can unsolder R10 and solder here serially connected 3.7kOhm resistor with 2.2kOhm multiturn potentiometer. This will allow you both over/underclock.

Pencil hack can be anytime reversed by cleaning R10.

My S9 which refused to work well at 550MHz, now works fine at 650MHz, but draws higher wattage. Highest voltage I tested was 10.5V, so it seems to be safe for decent OC.

This hack is at your own risk, I am not resposible for any damages you can do to your miner.

My S7 and also my friend's S7 stopped hashing many times, even when boards arrived from RMA, so I decided to stop expensive sending of boards to Bitmain and wait so long without mining. This mod is only suitable for 135 chips version.

After repair I am able to adjust S7 very efficient, my B8 runs at 600MHz (4.05TH/s) with 0.22W/GHs DC, so it is around 0.235W/GHs at the wall.

Repair is very simple, every board I'v seen had malfunctioning or not working PIC microcontroller adjusting voltage for chips, so I decide to override this by 50k potentiometer. Now I can adjust voltage for each board manually.

This is original board without fix. You need to connect potentiometer between U2--R17 connection and GND which can be found on C76.

Firstly, use silicone or any other suitable glue to glue potentiometer to the board. After it dries out, you can solder its pins to R17 and C76.

Once you are done, you can use small screwdriver and turning clockwise potentiometer will adjust lowest voltage, about 9.3V which should be enough to start miner at 500MHz.
You can adjust voltage for each board even when miner is running and check instantly number of HW errors during operation.

I hope it will help you. My opinion is that PIC malfunction is intentional from Bitmain to lower diff after RMA period.

Hi friends,

after many months of bitmain's refuse patch a bug which causes fatal overheat to our S5 during internet connection fail I decided to make my own protection independent to miner software and not void our warranty. So again, THIS MOD WILL NOT BREAK YOUR WARRANTY. Just remove this mod before RMA.

If you ask how, the answer is super easy - bi-metal thermostat, similar which is used in professional lighting devices, battery packs and many other devices which needs reversible protection fuse. You can use any temperature you wish to shut your Antminer down, but it MUST BE "NC" version - Normally Closed. This one shutted my S5 at 101C which is still acceptable as critical overheat temperature.
This switch will shut down PSU, so NO POWER comes to your S5 until it cools down about 10 minutes, then it power on your S5 back.

Put bimetal switch between heatsinks.

Do not remove the silicon sleeve, it prevents the switch to move out.

Remove your paper clip from your PSU and connect the your new bimetal switch on place of paper clip. You can use some wire extension with dual pin header to perfectly match green and black pins on PSU ATX cable connector, it is up to you how precise you wish to be.

This protection is 100% working and can be used for ANY Antminer and will protect your Ant even if your FAN COMPLETELY FAIL.   For those who are extremely paranoid, you can use switches in serial to double, triple or whatever secure they will not fail. You can use unlimited antminers switches connected in serial to control only one PSU (for example if you have 4 ants connected to one IBM bladecenter PSU, just connect all four ants serially, any1 overheated will shut down PSU).

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / S5 BeagleBone network fail - help please! on: May 17, 2015, 09:41:35 PM
Hi, this is first time when I am asking for help. I have two S5 BB boards with the same problem. The have some kind of very strange network failure.

1) BB and control boards boots normally, everything works perfect, except network connection. I can't ping or log in. It can't DHCP address. No network at all.

2) my second unit firstly was available at static IP, but was not hashing as it was unable to connect to my pools, diagnostic page always stopped without any results.

3) my bad is that I tried to switch to DHCP, but it blocked my miner as it cannot retrive address from DHCP now.

4) tried unplug hash boards with no effect.

---- > I tried new SDcard with old and new S5 firmware with no effect. I tried also C1 firmware and as it has static IP, so I can log in, but S5 can't recognize my hash boards.

Any idea what is wrong or how to solve it? Please read it again and do not post "unplug whatever" or "flash new S5 firmware".
