Any feedback he has is from 2015/16. As seen in this thread, he just scammed the user "AG4Play" for $415 USDT. USDT tx: https://imgur.com/a/aUX31nnThis scam occurred 8/23/21. Williams was paid, then deleted the telegram convo and blocked the buyer. I had him admitting he received the $415, however, he just deleted our most recent telegram convo, once again, today. I had previously traded the victim and was informed of this just today. William's most recent bitcointalk selling thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5315914Contacts: Telegram: @lwilliams87 - *DELETED THIS TELEGRAM* NEW Telegram: @lenawilliams87 ALT Telegram: @loverain97 Skype: live:lenawilliams87 ICQ: @703969897 Alt Contacts: Telegram: @Davidalone Skype: live:.cid.a7d4be7d2e27012a Williams originally attempted to sell me $1500 in PSN gift cards, in March. Thankfully I used ESCROW and my losses were minor. The codes he attempted to sell had balance, however, when you actually went to redeem them they were invalid. I now believe this was intentional. I did give him a negative feedback for this trade, but I removed it after he repaid me for Tx/ESCROW fees. This refund came months later, after he deleted our telegram convo at least 2 times and constantly cried that he did not have any money. I thought he was just going to run away. He claimed to be the victim of a scam. He stated his "supplier" scammed him. My mistake for ever removing the original negative. Below are two screenshots of our convo that I managed to grab before he deleted. Here I clearly prove that he lied about the source of his gift cards from our trade. https://imgur.com/a/MnUn27QHere are screenshots of his Bitify account( https://bitify.com/user/ritzyg/), which was used for ESCROW, and is now suspended: https://imgur.com/a/XzDaBNkI wish I managed to get more screenshots, but he deletes the damn chats so often. It is completely clear he is a liar and a scammer. I have once again given him negative feedback. He has also left me with completely false feedback in retaliation.

Economy / Scam Accusations / [WARNING]MinerJones Impersonator

on: December 22, 2019, 03:52:54 PM

An individual using the username: @harleyinhawai (noyvus), contacted me via telegram to sell gift cards. They wanted to use ESCROW and decided upon using MinerJones. After awhile a group convo was started with a fake MinerJones using the username: @minerjoens
It was a piss poor scam attempt, but I figured I would post a warning for everyone.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SEND A PM ON BITCOINTALK TO CONFIRM WHO YOU ARE SPEAKING WITH BEFORE TRADING!

I have this newbie account harassing me out of no where. His profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2514723He randomly left me negative trust with ZERO prior contact of any kind. He then proceeded to post on my threads and continues to leave more negatives. He can hardly speak properly..lol He seems to be advertising some shady website called bitcoincheaters.com all over this forum. Is there anything that can be done?

Other / Meta / [SCAM PREVENTION]Remove self-moderation for topics within the marketplace!
|
on: February 11, 2018, 05:46:33 PM
|
**UPDATE: Sent PM to theymos on 2/19. Overview:I believe we should remove the option to self-moderate topics for certain user groups within areas of the marketplace. This can be used as an additional way to reduce and prevent scamming while allowing for further community moderation. Some reasons for the change: 1) More and more scammers are using self-moderation as a shield to prevent users from calling out any illicit activities. 2) Moderators have always taken a stance to not get involved in the marketplace. (I am not saying it is right or wrong, just stating a fact.) 3) Threads posted in the scam accusation section can go unseen by potential victims and new users. 4) Newer users may be unaware of the trust system and unregistered users do not see it at all. This is in no way a replacement for any of the current systems we have in play. I am only suggesting we utilize this along with the current systems. ESCROW usage is, as always, key, and it is always up to the user to do their due diligence before entering any trade. This is just another step to make it more fool proof. NOTE: The option to close/lock a topic can be easily used in a fashion similar to self-moderation. This suggestion will also require the removal of the option to close topics.Affected forum areas:Self-moderation should specifically be removed from these 2 sections of the marketplace: - Goods(Computer hardware, Digital goods, & Collectibles)
- Currency exchange
Any other section can be included if it is deemed worthwhile. Affected user groups:Full Member, Senior, Hero, and Legendary users would NOT be affected. Those groups would keep the ability to self-moderate in the decided upon marketplace sections(credit to akamit). It would also be advantageous to have this benefit become disabled if a user's trust becomes negative(credit to ralle14). Loss of benefits would apply regardless of their user group. Only users with the rank of Member or below would lose their self-moderation options. This change could become an added benefit for user groups, similar to the expanded PM space or reduced wait time between posts. -------------------- There should not be many downsides to removing the self-moderation options for the lower user groups within certain marketplace sections. What do you think?

Other / Meta / Remove the ability to self-moderate within the marketplace
|
on: February 09, 2018, 02:04:31 PM
|
** Thread is closed, I will reopen a new thread in Meta, as suggested, using everyone's concerns and suggestions to make a better proposal.I believe we should remove the option to self-moderate topics within the marketplace. Specifically these 2 sections of the marketplace: - Goods(plus all subsections)
- Currency exchange
Any another section can be included if enough people deem it worthwhile. As suggested by others: Senior, Hero, & Legendary users would keep self-moderation in the decided upon marketplace sections. We may want to extend this to Full Members because of the new merit system. If possible, we could have this benefit disabled if someone's trust is negative, regardless of their user group. Only users with the rank Member or below would be affected by this change. Reasons why it is beneficial: 1) Scams are rampant 2) Moderators have taken a stance of not getting involved 3) Threads posted in the scam accusation section go unseen by victims/new users 4) New users are unaware of the trust system I see absolutely no downside/reason to not remove this option within certain marketplace sections with the above suggested stipulations. It has no value if you are trying to legitimately buy/sell something. If spam is unbearable and the moderators are too overloaded to deal with it then self-moderation has value. What do you guys think?
