I'm auctioning off a Sapphire Radeon Vapor-X HD 5870 OC 875.  This card has been through a lot.  First, I bought it refurbished on ebay.  Not long after I got it, it started locking up.  I took off the cooler and reflowed the card in my oven.  After that, I clocked it at 800 MHz and it worked fine for a few weeks.  Today, we had a storm that caused a few brown outs, then we lost power for a minute.  Now the card will not display anything.  I attempted another reflow, but no luck.  Upon inspection, it looks like one of the capacitors is blown.  The top is rounded up.  It's one of the larger ones, and it has 4 lines of text: "ULR", "16V", "470" "ZB".  If you've got the expertise to replace the capacitor, you might be able to get it running again.  At the very least, you could use the cooler if you've got one with a busted fan.  Bidding starts at 3 BTC, including shipping to anywhere in US.  I will ship to other locations, PM me your location for a quote.  Bidding will end Monday, March 30th at 11:59.  The card will be shipped to the winner on Tuesday.  I've been around for a while, both here and on otc.  Otc link is in my signature.  I am willing to do clearcoin if you can also prove you're trustworthy.

I can't load "My Messages" over HTTPS... HTTP works, and everything else seems to work on HTTPS.

For each share purchased from MineCo, I will purchase hardware capable of delivering 1.5GH/s to the shareholder for 6 months from the beginning of mining.  Mining will begin within two weeks of the date of initial share purchase.

MineCo is currently offering shares 5 at a time, starting with a initial price of 500 BTC.



Share terms:
The holder of this certificate(from here on known as a shareholder) is a holder of one share of bitcoin transaction processing power.
That is, the owners of this share is the owner of 1.5 GH/s of transaction processing power on the bitcoin network for a period of 6(30 day) months.  You will also receive the BTC for a 5 day test run upon deployment of the hardware.
Mining will begin within two weeks of the initial purchase of the share, but may be delayed upon request of the shareholder.
Payouts will occur every 30 days, with the first payment occuring 5 days after mining begins.  Payouts can either be sent to a bitcoin address or converted to USD via mtgox.com on the payout date and sent as mtgusd or to a dwolla.com account.
There will be 7 total payments.
Payments will be the expected value for the time period (with difficulty changes rounded to the nearest hour).
The shareholder may update their payout method once per pay period, or whenever the share changes ownership.
Hardware failures will be the responsibilty of the hardware operator.

Question for Nefario: how can I find a unique identifier for a given share?  I'll also need to be able to find a timestamp for when the trade is executed to ensure I meet the 2 week figure.  I'm sure this information is in there somewhere.

Tradable, 185 day mining contracts.  Essentially bitcoin futures that are difficulty sensitive.  Help secure the bitcoin network.

First off, I'm not saying we're in a bubble about to pop.  However, we could easily arrive at such a situation if we aren't careful.  It is the early adopters and other wealthy bitcoiners who must let off a little pressure every now and then.  We want confidence in bitcoin to remain high, so keep the supply reasonable to keep prices sane.  Traders don't mind volatility, but merchants often need more stability.  Sure, they can do moving averages, but it's just another detail to be considered by someone wanting to accept bitcoins for payment, and lag during big rallies, making prices high.  Thankfully, there are already several very successful businesses taking bitcoins as payment, so there is a merchant economy.  And that in itself brings more stability to the overall economy, but there is a lot of room for more players.  If you really believe in bitcoin, operating a business and selling bitcoins as needed to cover costs is really the best way to ensure the future value.  So to those of you manning the release valves, thanks for your time and please keep things in check.  These are exciting times for bitcoin, but we must be vigilant to not get carried away.
