1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Getting the record straight on SC/MC on: May 26, 2012, 12:34:54 AM
1. Is MC decentralized? If so, where are the technical details that support it?

2. Where is the source code?

3. Why has the source code not been released if it is such a great project that can' be broken? Edit: And has nothing to hide.

4. If the source isn't released then why is anyone supposed to accept MC as a legitimate alternate cryptocurrency?

5. ....

That's all I could think of. But instead of having people TROLL this forum with their BS about the FACTS surrounding the questions above, I would seriously like some mature and honest answers that actually answer the question and not end in attacking myself or another user on this forum to avoid answering the questions...

Thanks!

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Realsolid's Response to Viper's Economic concerns on: May 15, 2012, 06:45:58 PM
"You're thinking too much about a simple concept. Why was there no moratorium on transaction fees? Because Bitcoin already has that and those trolls already accept it. I also wouldn't be listening to what most people on the Bitcoin forum (our competitor) has to say about MicroCash, they want to protect their BTC investment and think spreading FUD that will do it. Not much you can do about immature people on the internet, just a part of life. If you look at the Bitcoin forum it's the same 5 or 6 users saying the same FUD over and over, I'm not sure why everyone over there hasn't just ignored those users.

If they didn't think MicroCash was a threat to them they wouldn't mention it. But, because they do think it's a threat they think that spreading FUD will have some "negative effect" and stop MicroCash from succeeding. That or like a lot of trolls they just get some sort of kick out of it.

Anyone who is not biased can see SolidCoin and MicroCash has been getting more development and more features than Bitcoin, these reactions from an immature minority of Bitcoin are only going to increase as more people become disillusioned with Bitcoin. We aren't aiming for the relatively small and failing Bitcoin market, MicroCash is aimed at all the users and businesses Bitcoin will never get due to it's flawed economic system and archaic technology. ie 99.9% of the world. "

A few things to note:

1. We who oppose SC/MC are "trolls" even if we have legitimate questions on its implementation. Despite no response in a technical manner of how SC/MC works and a posting of the SOURCE CODE.
2. There are ONLY 5 or 6 of us who keep saying the same FUD over and over. Hmm I count much more than 5 or 6 of us. More like 50 or 60 of us at LEAST.
3. Microcash the name is already used and perhaps is going to start some trademark issues with RealAss/CoinHomo.
4. This posting was one of like 3 new threads in the past 10 days on solidcoin talk forum....PATHETIC

What's wrong guys not getting enough user-ship that you gotta come to bitcointalk and post your BS currency to get more publicity and leech off of bitcoin?

Please add to the list if you can think of anything

Wanted to list all the things Satoshi did well concerning BITCOIN and was able to accomplish without EGO/SELF-GLORIFICATION of himself:

1. designed and implemented bitcoin from its core.
2. recruited non-sockpuppet type people to genuiniely help the project not for monetary gain.
3. didn't tout his LEET programming skills to the world

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin ASICs on: March 22, 2012, 08:56:10 PM
I wanted to open up discussion on this topic early on because it seems its taking a while for the Bitcoin ASICs to get produced.

What are your thoughts on Litecoin ASICs?

If there can exist Bitcoin ASICs there also can exist Litecoin ASICs.

Open thread... Grin

Please no Solidcoin bashing or Litecoin bashing. Let's keep this discussion professional.

Thanks

DO NOT use these scam coins. Better donate your CPU time to a project like the World Community Grid. This is a total scam. Litecoin especially. You have been warned.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Open Discussion] Centralized Bitcoin Services at Mt. Gox on: March 06, 2012, 09:10:38 PM
This thread's purpose is to discuss the issues that reside with Mt. Gox being 95% of the entire volume of BTC traded as well as possibly a large portion of merchant solution services.

This in my opinion can be bad for bitcoin if Mt. Gox were ever shutdown in its corporate structure (if it has one).

Centralization of services for bitcoin is not a good thing. It gives less options to choose.

Anyways...just by 0.02 BTC...
18  Other / Meta / Other non-English Language Subforums on: September 18, 2011, 10:17:51 AM
I just took a look at the non-english subforums and it is pathetic to say the least.

If we all want bitcoin to be a success then we need to be able to accomodate information spreading in other largely used languages like Manadarin or Japanese etc.

Focus should be put into getting current posts that are in english to be automatically translated and put into the subforums for the other language forums we have here.

Seems like a waste given that the amount of posts in other languages is like 1/100 th the amount of english posts we get on this site.

Just sayin...
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [RECAP] Solidcoin's to-date History on: September 17, 2011, 07:18:19 PM
1. Released with a promising future.
2. Solidcoin market bubble pops.
3. Multiple versions of SC are released and CH touts it in forums.
4. CH releases article "Solidcoin Ready For Bitcoin Collapse".
     LINK: http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php
5. ArtForz makes CH aware of a transaction spam exploit.
6. CH ignores it or tells ArtForz to take a hike.
7. ArtForz performs the exploit exposing SC and bloating the size of the blockchain.
8. CH is infuriated and calls ArtForz a hacker for exploiting the vunerability.
9. CH admits in IRC that the article he release was merely propaganda to get a certain "impression" put upon readers.
10. New SC version with a new "solidcoin" license put into the original bitcoin code has been released.
11. DoubleC notes new license and decides to shutdown the largest Solidcoin exchange at the time.
12. BTCguild operator shutsdown largest solidcoin pool.
10. CH speaks with Gavin Andresen in IRC and labels Gavin as a "hacker supporter".
11. Moonco.in soaks up majority of solidcoin trading volume on its exchange.
12. Moonco.in goes down for a few days with no notice.
13. Moonco.in comes back up. "power outage" blamed upon last downtime.
14. BitcoinEXpress makes comments to attack/exploit solidcoin with time-travel method.
15. CH moves to shutdown solidcoin network immediately.
16. Mooco.in goes AWOL taking its users deposits with it.
17. Announcements of new SC version that uses CPUs as opposed to GPUs will be released.

I am sure I may have missed something here. Feel free to add it in.  Grin

Note: All of this has happened in the short 4-5 week history of solidcoin. Lots of drama I'd say.
20  Economy / Speculation / I would say in the shorterm... on: September 17, 2011, 01:19:00 AM
It stalling at $4.80 says it will go up for a bit at least to 5.50 to 5.75 before falling if indeed it is dstined  to fall further.
