1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Has Bitcoin been inflitrated by global elite? on: April 10, 2024, 10:08:43 PM
Between chain analytics companies, BlackRock, Saylor, centralized exchanges/government approval, demonizing/de-listing of privacy coins & wallets....etc, one has to wonder...has Bitcoin been infiltrated by global elite?

There is clearly a global agenda to gain control of populations, through every possible means. IMO, you have to very ignorant at this point to think otherwise.

Is Bitcoin really freedom money?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 21, 2023, 12:04:43 PM
I love bitcoin, however i see privacy as the #1 concern going forward.

Monero is quietly gaining lots of adoption on websites, services, exchanges, dark net markets etc.

Most of the truth & freedom movement appear to recommend it over Bitcoin.

Node count has passed BTC and mining hash rate is growing rapidly as you don't need an Asics, just your PC.

To me it seems Monero is something that should not be ignored.

Also scaling is another issue, Bitcoin fees are 1000x Monero fees.

There's no reason why you can't Coinjoin/Lightning your UTXO's in conjunction with Monero - it's a good privacy tool and supplement to Bitcoin IMO.

Thoughts please. I want some honest opinions here.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Huge demand for privacy incoming - Monero (XMR) will likely surge on: December 14, 2022, 07:00:50 AM
Unfortunately Bitcoin is not private by default - you need to use the tools - coinjoin, payjoin, lightning, liquid etc (which I'm completely fine with - just being a realist)

XMR is private by default & is the #1 preferred cryptocurrency on darknet markets and transactions per day are trending upwards.

Governments all around the world continue to build & implement more surveillance. CBDC's (central bank digital currencies) are now on the horizon - coming 2023. if they're not stopped they will have complete control.

IMHO, the more they push their surveillance tech, the more the people will push back - XMR is in prime position. dark net market usage will likely skyrocket.

It's market cap is still under $3B - not even 1% of Bitcoin and it's transactions make up roughly 10%

You can't even fathom the FOMO that could come to XMR.

I love Bitcoin but Monero has a place. There's no reason why you shouldn't use it. It's a good supplement to BTC.

Just my 2 sats.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 24, 2022, 07:14:11 AM
The world is only getting crazier.

Hyperinflation, wars, supply chain issues, shortages

I know a decent percentage of the network runs on renewable energy, there's the blockstream satellite, keys are offline etc

How bad would it have to get to stop the chain & would that kill Bitcoin?

Personally I'm not worried, because if it gets that bad, money probably won't matter. Food, water & shelter will be more valuable.

I often speculate. I not a gloom & doomer - just a realist.

Interest to hear thoughts.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will Bitcoin End The Current Political System? on: December 20, 2020, 09:41:19 PM
'The Sovereign Individual' predicts by 2025, the Information Age (Bitcoin & the Internet) will end the current political system.

In my mind it's extremely clear; governments losing power to the information age & a cyber currency (Bitcoin) is inevitable. There’s no borders or jurisdiction online - they can regulate it as much as they want; cost to enforce to all their citizens is too high. In the mean time, people are losing faith in fiat currencies. Slowly, then all at once people will jump to the currency that doesn’t rob them - Bitcoin. Their biggest revenue streams are the hidden taxes i.e inflation & various forms of money printing. 21m Bitcoin only - their revenues will dry up. Money is power & they will lose it eventually.

Sure there's going to be a transition period; they will no doubt do something coercive to retain their power. If it's too much, citizens will just riot, protest, tax rebel (Exit into a Bitcoin circular economy).

Love to hear thoughts & opinions Smiley It just seems so obvious to me at this point.

6  Economy / Economics / Is COVID-19 an excuse for governments & central banks to print money? on: November 04, 2020, 05:42:04 AM
I have this theory that 'COVID-19' is the new 'Climate Change'. It seems these 2 narratives are almost acting as an excuse for the major underlying issue they never talk about - the money itself.

With all these 'lock-downs' it almost seems like they're trying to crash the economy & further concentrate the money into the hands of the 1%. Improvising the many & enriching the few - for power & control.

It's becoming ridiculously obvious they are trying to completely remove our privacy & rights.

- destroy money; because bacteria
- contact tracing/tracing apps
- digital ID's/central bank digital currencies

All of these just make it easier to digitally trace you. Remove your privacy, so they can easily control you more.

The reality is, if everyone had a decent understanding of how the money worked; there'd be a lot of angry riots.

Interested to know everyone's thoughts. Are governments/central banks malicious?

They are knowingly operating on a fraudulent system. They definitely aren't printing the money equally. The wealth inequality is absolutely insidious.

What do you think their true intentions are?

The current system cannot be fixed, the longer it's kept alive the worse off the world will be.

Humanity has a chance to jump off a sinking ship.

Thank god we have a lifeboat - Bitcoin!

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Best wallet to improve Bitcoin privacy, Wasabi, Samourai or something else? on: October 29, 2020, 11:33:25 AM
I've looked all over the internet & I can't seem to get a clear answer.

A lot of people on Twitter like Samourai. However, I can't see the major reasons why. I find Wasabi really easy to use.

What are the main differences between the two?

Or is there something better I should look into?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does CoinJoin actually break the link in your transaction history? on: October 19, 2020, 12:03:05 PM
It's becoming increasingly obviously we need to improve our privacy where possible (To defend against state/corporate actors)

I've used CoinJoin a few times now & I've tried following my digital footprint on a block explorer.

It definitely seems like it does a decent job to obfuscate/confuse.

But does it completely break the link in your transaction history?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What part will the Lightning Network play in the upcoming bull run? on: June 10, 2020, 09:23:44 AM
As we enter the next bull run the price of on-chain TX's will inevitably rise, firstly due to the price & secondly due to network congestion. Also there's quiet a few services that haven't implemented Segwit *cough* Binance.

In my opinion Lightning Network is nowhere near ready for global adoption, however it is a good conduit to free up the TX mempool. There's also a bunch of other off-chain/2nd layer solutions but let's be honest Lightning is currently leading the way.

Personally I've opened a bunch of lightning channels anticipating this fee rise, however it's still an uncertainty how it will all play out. Maybe channels become too expensive to open for the average person & custodial wallets become this next best thing?

Interested in the community's opinion on this.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 01, 2020, 04:10:59 AM
What is your Satoshi theory?

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Satoshi Nakamoto.

If he's not with us today, I'm sure he'd be appalled with the amount of money being printed by governments/central banks.

One of his legendary quotes are:

"If you don’t believe it or don’t get it, I don’t have the time to try to convince you, sorry."

Is he deceased? Did he pass away from Cancer or some other grave illness?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Using Lightning Network is easy as on: February 07, 2020, 09:11:18 PM
Made a demo of me using Wallet of Satoshi (custodial) to send 500 sats to my Eclair wallet (non-custodial - where I control the funds)

I'm not a coder/developer just an average guy with very little technical ability and I can use the Lightning Network. I really believe it will propel Bitcoin into mainstream adoption. Please comment your opinions of Lightning.
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Paid App - Earn or pay for tasks on Bitcoin LN (Android & iOS) on: October 03, 2019, 07:18:04 AM
Hello Everyone.

I've just come across this Lightning app and I think it's fresh and innovative. It's basically a marketplace for tasks/jobs. You can either create your own and/or carry them out, earning sats!

Website is paid.co if you want to try app in beta. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I really believe it deserves more attention.

I made a quick video on LBRY to demonstrate it's utility
