2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How do I set a difficulty for prohashing L3+ on: December 06, 2017, 09:08:21 PM
Guys, I read on internet that you have to use command D(difficulty) D=131000 for Prohashing mining pool.

Is this the right difficulty? How do I find the optimal difficulty?

Thanks!
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / How to make an earning trading only BTC with less than 1K USD on: November 04, 2017, 11:47:04 PM
Do you think you got what it takes to trade BTC? But you don't think you have enough starting capital?
I had the same problem untill I saw Bitmex a while ago. I tried it, they were legit and payd out. I liked it
for the "trollbox" aswell. I used to trade poloniex a lot, the Development was really bad on their platform.
Bitmex might have nothing to do with poloniex, but its just as profitable (now a lot more profitable actually).

The costs to open a contract are really low on bitmex. See it like this:

You have 1K usd. You see that the price of btc broke 7k and u want to speculate on an upwards movement to 7.7k. You buy 1 BTC in contracts ( 7000 USD contracts / 7x leverage ). Do not even worry about the fee's here. The BTC P-Swap contracts (first BTC option on bitmex trading) has a fee per 8 hours but never ends. The second option ends december 2017 but has a 1 time fee only and IMO is better for trading waves / paterns. If the price goes to 7.7K you will get 700k profit which is 70% of your Equitity so your ROE would be 70%. The total increase in BTC value however is only 10%.

Ofcourse the same counts on downwards movements. I use bitmex mostly on breakouts and am very carefull with using to much leverage. Using more than 1 Bitmex account also helps to reduce risk Smiley sometimes you get tempted to overbuy positions.

Hope you guys agree that Bitmex is the place to trade with low investment _+ decent trading skills.

here my steemit on it:

https://steemit.com/trading/@kurd/how-to-trade-crypto-with-100x-the-amount-you-actually-own-leverage-trading-100x

Using a refferal code gives you 10% discount on fee's for 6 months. I won't post my link but if you check my steemit you'll see.

My current refferal team (12 people) have traded nearly 6k BTC in the past month. We trade together 2 times a week. LMK if you want to take part.
4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Is it worth to continue this mining operation ? [Video included] [Europeans] on: February 28, 2016, 02:31:52 PM
Dear Bitcoin enthusiasts,

Since A couple of years, Bitcoin got my attention and interest. I wanted to mine Bitcoins, and since then, everyone told me it would be impossible to do this profitable. Being a 24 year old Economics student, I wanted to find this out myself, because I was sure that I could still be one of the early adapters if I entered the market quickly enough.
After doing a lot of research, visiting Dutch Bitcoin conventions (monthly) and questioning everyone with experience in mining/bitcoin, I was sure I could do it. The country I am originally from, has subsidised electricity. To make this easy for you to understand, the price is around 2 cent per KwH, as long as you don’t use more than 3000 KwH PER MONTH. This is quite a lot, but not enough to do industrial mining with of course. I came up with the idea to distribute bitcoin miners over the stores and apartments that our family owns in this locations. I started off in a store that one of my nephews runs a CD store in. He has good internet access, like most shops, and a space to put the miners in. I purchased a big air-conditioning and placed around 5 th/s worth of miners (bought second hand on Dutch market).  After running this operation for a while, I knew it was time to update my hardware. I did get ROI but not a lot of profit, mostly because of the outdated hardware.

I have found a partner that is now willing to start investing in this project. He has ordered 2 S7’s and they will arrive soon. Take a look at the picture below to get an idea of how small these types of farms are.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dhHjLKGXm4

I have made an 80 ampere wire that is used for the mining only. This will allow at least 10xS7’s  which will total 48 TH/s. At current price/difficulty this would account for 1900 USD per month. With a burn rate of only about 200 USD per month (internet/electricity), the profits are big.

If anyone lives in Europe and has miners to be placed in such a location or is interested, please feel free to message me. I will keep this page updated and make a new video as soon as the S7’s have been installed. Currently there is 2 S7’s being shipped to us, just for the partner to verify our operation.
If you have any remarks and/or tips, feel free.

5  Economy / Service Announcements / What mining hardware do you have left ? Any absolute miners ? on: February 22, 2016, 08:24:56 PM
Is the electricity for your mining operation between 0.20 ct. - 0.05 ct. ? Mining will not be very profitable for you, if you have any miners that you are not using, or willing to relocate, please continue reading.

I am offering a very interesting oppurtunity. I am a 24 year old economic student from the Netherlands. Originally I am from Kurdistan ( KRG ), northern Irak. This sounds very scary, don't be. I have been there every year and it’s a very safe region I can assure. Last year I started mining there because we have some property that I can use for this. I will note some main reasons for trying to mine in Kurdistan.

- Government subsides electricity ( as cheap as 1 ct./kwh )
- Close to Europe (my home location)
- Free property rent for me
- Family is managing Turkish to Kurdish borders in East Turkey (therefor we can get the miners in without any questioning)
- Family to help out with tasks that need a helping hand

Especially the electricity price is something that I want to share with you. The more you use, the higher the price. This seems not useful for mining but I found something to bypass that. We own some stores, of which all of them have internet access. The stores can be used to locate around a 10-20 th/s mining rig. We will pay the monthly electricity bill of the store renter, in return we can mine and he/she keeps an eye. All of the renters are family or friends of me. They were fascinated by the idea behind bitcoin when I told them, because of the whole war against ISIS that is going on in the surrounding areas ( Kurdish Peshmerga is the main region battling ISIS successfully ) people are getting low on money and wages are not what they used to be. They are more than willing to keep an eye on the miners in return for the electricity bill to be payed of. I have a YouTube video to show of 1 of the mines that I have set up this summer. The miners were second hand and used for over a year. I still managed to make a good ROI. The electricity bill for this store ( a CD copy shop for movies and albums) was 300 USD for about 4 months. This included 2 very big air-conditioning’s as you can see on the video.

If you have any miners that you can ship to Kurdistan ( we have to find the best way to do so ) or what I prefer, if you are located in Europe, I can visit you or you can visit me ( Holland ) and from here, I have them transported to the mining location for only $ 60 ct. per Kg.  no tax whatsoever.

Feel free to question me, I am also open to suggestions. I am looking for decent miners, no more prospero's or 1J/gh miners. Prefer S3-S7's or any spondoolies.

The way I would like this to work; EXAMPLE:  You have 5 S7's  mining at 10 ct/KwH.
You bring them to the Netherlands, I have them shipped ( I pay for that ).
After 15 days they arrive and I get someone to set them up (have trained a family member to do so).

We find the best pool (I like Slush's pool or KANO.IS) and create an account together which we can both access.
Any revenue is divided 30/70 after deducting electric costs. You will be left with 70% of the total generated revenue without paying any electricity, rent, internet or what so ever.

This is definitely the best and cheapest way to mine, I can understand that it sounds very risky. That is why I offer anyone to come visit me or skype me. I am a very open person and will tell you all you need to know. I can assure you that I am a good business man with a good CV.

6  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Correct me if I am wrong here on: February 20, 2016, 09:44:32 PM
First of all, thank you for your time,
I wonder about the mining opportunity that is left.
Did we not allready lose Bitcoin ?

For some time I am really interested in Bitcoin , I have found mining opportunity to mine at 2 ct. Electricity. Location rent is free. All I need is hardware. I have tried buying second hand miners on the Dutch market. It is very limited and full of outdated hardware. New hardware seems to be made to have impossible ROI. This is my calculation for S7 as an example, the S7 is for now the best hardware I have found online.

Unit (820usd) + decent PSU (100 usd) + shipping/vat. (100 usd)   = 1020 usd

Current monthly revenue is 160 usd per month
If we take the halting into account in 5 months and the difficulty increase, just see for your self if there
Is any reason to mine.
Is there any miners that want to sell of their btc farm? Or maybe relocate? I really want to use the oppirtunity I have.
I want to wait for the 16nm , I am just sure that they will be overpriced.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / KNC cubes power supply on: March 31, 2015, 06:37:31 PM
Guys,

I can get my hands on some KNC neptune miners. They are not even used, every cube uses around 275 watt, one set includes 5 cubes @ around 1500WATT.

Price: 700 USD per set
Kwh; 0.03 usd
Rent; 0
Tempreture; -5 in winters  30 Celcius in Summers, I have acces to good cooling though.

I wonder if I can use a power supply of 400 watt for every cube, would that effect efficiency? What is the best power supply to use?

Any one has experience with neptune? picures? please share!

When is the next Block halving planned to come? I want to start mining so need to know how that will effect Profit.  If the rewards are halve, I guess we get 50procent less

16  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Mining operation on: March 11, 2015, 10:54:17 PM
Dear bitcointalk community,

For weeks I have following everything I can about bitcoin and mining. This is because I am from a country where there is subsidised elektricity for every houseHold Hold. I have found enough space to store 100-300 th/s at 0.01 ct ct/kwh.

I have a couple things I could use help with.
What is best th/usd ratio hardware available?
I have an offer for 260usd per th/s. I still think thats extensieve and am looking for better option. Used miners is also possible, as in a retirement place for miners.

I want to try and get a loon/investment at btcjam since I do not plan to put my own entire capitalist at risk and am looking for partners.

I can verify everything and am looking forward to read comments comments. Good and bad once;)

Kind Regards,

ZEKSAL
