A volunteer but a firefighter nonetheless. I talked to the commissioner today and he informed me that I was voted into our local volunteer fire department, a few hours later I went on my first call.

I know there's a CGMiner thread but I need some help from those who mine LTC on CGMiner. I've been driving myself nuts trying to get CGMiner 2.7.5 to mine LTC with no luck, I made a .bat file with settings other users who have the same cards as me use and my pc will just lock up. I need a .bat file that will work.

Specs:
Win7 x64
2 Sapphire Radeon 5830's Xtreme
CGMiner 2.7.5

Thanks in advance!!

66  Other / Politics & Society / grassroots campaign for 2016 Presidency on: August 04, 2012, 08:39:48 PM
I've decided to start a grassroots campaign for the 2016 Presidential election. I'm not the smartest person in the world but I'm tired of being treated like a slave by the country WE started and I want to make a difference.

Let me start off by saying no, I don't have all the answers. I'm just a simple working man who sees that the "system" isn't working.
Our money has become practically worthless, our jobs are being sent to other countries, and people are struggling to feed their families all while corporate executives and politicians wallets get fatter at our expense.

We have troops fighting wars that are based on corporate greed and control. Do you want your child's blood to be spilled in a foreign land so a big-wig can afford another vacation home in a tropical location? I sure don't.

We have lost our sense of freedom and resiliency. Our dependency on others has gotten to the point that this great country has become lazy. It's time to become self-sufficient.

The people shouldn't fear the government, the government should fear it's people.

I open all questions, comments, suggestions, etc. but please keep it civil and don't act like a child. Our country is and has been in need of a revolution, it has to start somewhere.

If anyone is interested in donating I will post an address. I would like to get funding to purchase an RV to travel the country for the sake of igniting this revolution. I want to get people thinking, asking questions, and coming up with solutions to fix the problems we face. I would love for the campaign to be largely funded by Bitcoin to raise awareness across the country.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need help setting up Reaper for 6310m on: July 19, 2012, 10:19:47 PM
I want to try reaper on my laptop which runs Win 7 x64 and has a Radeon HD6310m gpu. I know it won't be as fast as a good GPU but I'm sure it'll be better that CPU mining LTC. I have no idea how to set it up so if somebody could give me some CONF files that might work I would greatly appreciate it.
68  Other / Off-topic / [SOLVED] Need help with BFL Single ---- immediately!! on: July 16, 2012, 11:50:28 PM
I'll keep this thread here so if anyone else has a similar issue they can hopefully resolve it by reading this.

****************************************************************************************************************

Ok, now I have your attention.

I got a BFL single from another forum member, the unit had never been used until I hooked it up. It was running fine on one of my rigs when I went to check on it a little while ago and I noticed a huge problem. The front LED was staying on constantly and it wasn't hashing. I closed CGMiner and reopened it... nothing. I unplugged the usb cable, waited a few seconds, and plugged it into another usb slot..... nothing.
I unplugged the unit for a few minutes then powered it back on..... nothing. I restarted the rig and all of a sudden it wouldn't even see the single.
I decided to try it on my laptop, LED stays on but laptop doesn't see it. I power cycled it and I get the same thing.

What the fukkkkk can I do to get this damn thing working again??

Win 7 x64
CGMiner 2.5.0

69  Other / Off-topic / Setting up @ farmers market Friday - need BTC literature!!! on: July 15, 2012, 10:21:05 PM
Hi everyone, my GF and I have found a successful little niche in our remote area of upstate NY. We pick blueberries and make jam, blueberry muffins, pints of blueberries, etc. We also have the kids set up a lemonade stand to give them something to do while making a few extra bucks ( we share some of the profits w/ them). Anywho, we're thinking about setting up a table at the local farmers market and thought it would be a great opportunity to spread the word about Bitcoin.
We're looking for anyone who might have BTC literature, stickers, decals, magnets, whatever and would be willing to donate some to help get the word out there. Most of the local farmers are self-sufficient people who aren't too fond of the government which leads me to believe they would be pretty receptive. Imagine going to a farmers market and purchasing locally produced goods with BTC.... what a great world that would be.
The farmers market runs every Friday from 4-7pm so if you would like to donate material we would need them soon. PM me if you're interested. Thanks for your help!!

P.S. - I'll make sure to take pics and post them here for all to see

80  Economy / Services / Juggalodarkclow's Escrow Service on: May 07, 2012, 10:06:57 PM
It seems as if there's been a lot of scammers popping up in here lately and it's causing potential buyers to be afraid and rightfully so, therefore I've decided to start an escrow service.

ESCROW RULES

-I will provide a free escrow service for ALL transactions (tips are graciously accepted)

- The buyer will send his/her coins to me and will be held until they receive the item/service/etc. at which time the coins will be released to the seller. I will notify the seller that I have received the coins AFTER their has been 6 confirmations.

-In the event the buyer claims he/she never received the item, the seller will be asked to provide relevant info that shows it has been received. If receipt is proven then coins will be released to seller, if seller does not provide proof within 5 days then coins will be sent back to the buyer.

-If a dispute arises I will mediate between both parties and base my decision on whomever has the best evidence.

Hopefully this will help the marketplace on here and protect members against the constant flow of scammers.

PM me if you are in need of my services Smiley
