1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / $98,90 Ethereum - New critical mark. What will happen to the projects of IСO ? on: December 06, 2018, 01:49:09 PM
The market again goes to the bottom and now ETH $ 90 dollars. What will happen to the projects that ended IСO? How to invest in such a difficult time. I think this fall will significantly affect all cryptocurrency markets.

 Huh
When will the market evolve?
Is it worth investing in ICO projects now?

6  Economy / Speculation / What's happening in December? on: June 29, 2012, 07:43:19 PM
Well I've been thinking. In December there's gonna be ASIC mining but the block rewards are halving too. What will happen to the Bitcoin exchange rate? The ASIC is gonna flood the market with coins but the block halving is gonna increase the price of coins. So in December are bitcoins gonna plummet, stay the same or rise?
7  Economy / Games and rounds / 50/50 Spreadsheet Game on: April 22, 2012, 09:14:40 PM
I've decided to make a spreadsheet game called the 50/50 game. It's called the 50/50 game simply because both opponents have a 50% chance to win, it requires no skill at all and purely luck based.

Example of how it works
Player 1 is the round starter. He PMs me or posts on this thread and I'll give him/her a deposit address. After I get the deposit, I'll update the spreadsheet so anybody can challenge him or her. Player 1 has the option to either remain anonymous or I could post the name. After the deposit is listed on the spreadsheet, anybody can challenge him/her by sending me a PM or posting on this thread and betting exactly the same amount as player 1. Then I will either use a random number generator or have a video of me flipping a coin (only if 1BTC+ though because I don't want to waste my time) to select the winner. The winner gets 99% of the pot and I keep 1% as a house fee.

How to read the Spreadsheet
Player 1: The person who started the round, could also be anonymous
Amount: The amount of money bet
Method: The method used to determine the winner random number generator (RNG) or coin flip with a youtube video (1BTC+ only)
Player 2: The person who plays against player 1
Winner: The winner of the round
Payout info: Blockchain.info link to prove the transaction was paid out

How the RNG method works
I use a random number generator with the option between 1 and 2. 1 Means player 1 wins. 2 means player 2 wins.

How the coinflip method works
I'll flip a coin while recording. Heads means player 1 wins, tails means player 2 wins. Video will be uploaded for all to see.

How do I know you won't cheat?
I will NOT be playing the game myself. That would be incredibly unfair. I have no reason to rig the game for anybody.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Reformatting Computer. What to backup? on: April 09, 2012, 10:27:16 AM
I run Windows 7 and I think I need to reformat soon because it's getting pretty slow. If I were to do this I have to backup wallet.dat, correct? Is there a way I can backup the whole blockchain so I don't have to redownload the whole thing? Also is there anything else I need to backup besides those two things?

10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Power Button on Open Rigs? on: March 21, 2012, 08:34:08 AM
Yeah, not planning to build a mining rig anytime soon but I do build normal computers. One question, for those of you who build without a case, how do you have a power button to turn the thing on? Like the two thin metal pin connector power button.
11  Other / Off-topic / Bitcoins for Strippers on: February 25, 2012, 10:48:48 PM
I'd like to propose to you Bitcoins for Strippers. What many people don't realize is that strippers are people too and a lot of them have children to feed. I know that many people are too young or don't have access to support their local strippers, so I will be taking donations to donate to my local strip club. I will be donating at www.crazyhorse-sf.com

Donation address at: 19eSiGYST5xnNGScUTpvNfWxrSzwDhspxs

If you want, I could make a list of donators.
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / p2pool mining. Am I doing it correctly? [pics included] on: February 15, 2012, 08:15:03 AM

Okay, I have no clue how to mine using p2pool and I'm trying to make the change from deepbit. In the screenshot above, am I mining bitcoins? And if so, where do the bitcoins go because I didn't provide an address.

EDIT: i'm getting more stale than valid :\

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Best way to mine? on: October 07, 2011, 09:29:10 AM
I currently use guiminer and I'm no hardcore miner as I only have a hd 6870 and a hd 5770 mining for me (about 500mhs). There are so many different pools to mine for, what pool could I profit most from? Does my choice of mining program matter because I don't like dealing with command line.

Also, if I were to build a mining rig (thinking about 3x5770) would it be profitable? As in would it pay for itself + more over time? If so, how long would that take?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / How to backup bitcoins? on: October 06, 2011, 08:06:27 AM
If I were to reformat my computer and I wanted to keep all my bitcoins in my current wallet. How do I transfer them onto my next computer? Like is there a file I backup?
