41  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB 1.5 btc with paypal/google wallet.. edit: i can also purchase amazon cards on: May 27, 2015, 06:51:09 AM
Now i know what ya'll are probably thinking-scammer- and you'd not be wrong to be suspicious.. i am a trustworthy person with fairly good trust .. anyways i need to buy 1.5 btc, and i have balances in paypal and google wallet i can pay with.. i guess this is my attempt to make u think im not gonna reverse payment..
i am trying to make a payment on some new s5 miners and my coinbase account wont let me suck it any more dry. slushs pool where all my miners are at has been struck by something terrible (god hates us).. and i just got scammed outta 1.4 coins on eBay (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1071460.msg11460480#msg11460480) .. i have already purchased a psu for a miner which isnt gonna come, and so i'd like to get one that actually does

plz let me know if u can make this happen-i can offer 5% on the exchange tho id be willing to negotiate- but only if your a user with substance (ie some good relatively dated fb and not only a month or 2 old)

edit:editted up to 1.5 btc as its more in line with what i need for this miner

edit: i'd like to do this quick.. what'll it take to get some interest? 8%? 10%? i am willing to negotiate

edit: i forgot i can also purchase amazon cards
42  Economy / Lending / need a 1 btc loan i can pay back in 2 days latest on: May 27, 2015, 06:13:29 AM
so this is my first time asking for a loan, i dont know if this acceptable for people but i am trying to purchase 2x s5 antminers from bitmain.. i'd like their arrival to coincide with my psu or at least as much as a possible.. i have about 2.5 btc total at the moment and im about 0.8 short-i really need just over 0.8 btc, but if your comfortable with 1.0 btc i can assure you that once my coinbase instamax purchase amount makes its return back to its $1000 max amount-at the moment its $0 (i sold around $600 on localbitcoins-https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/taraza/ as well as some small purchases today so im tapped)-i will return 1.0 + whatever interest (in reason) we agree upon which should take less than 2 days considering it should return to full in a week.. i dont know whats fair, but i can accept 5% though im open to negotiate- i need this quick ideally

i am an honest user here on this forum, but for collateral- as i can totally understand the need for it- i am offering this account as well as my ebay account http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=taraza11 and perhaps i could work out something more if necessary-- i actually have a r9 290x gpu i could also put up, or perhaps my localbitcoin account?.. i can post pics or whatever proof is necessary.. anyways thank you for reading, i realize i might've rambled a bit here Smiley

edit: i can offer screenshots of my bank statement with this username by pm to prove i got the money- i just lack the coin which i'd like to get quick
43  Economy / Scam Accusations / user beardeddragons on eBay on: May 27, 2015, 04:39:17 AM
So maybe this is not the right place for this as it relates to an outside user, but I think ya'll should be aware of this..
beardeddragons (http://www.ebay.com/usr/beardeddragons?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754) has been auctioning off a bunch of miners on eBay at exceptionally good prices... the catch is hes been only taking bitcoins as payment..

if your like me, you might have sent him the coins without noticing that none of his amazingly good feedback is at all recent which is suspicious to say the least.. i think this account was either sold or hacked

anyways, i ordered an sp20 off and promptly sent him coins + address sunday afternoon-over 2 days ago now-and messaged him multiple times to which there has been no response.. it may be premature, but im fairly certain my coins have gone into that scammer abyss most of us all are all too familiar with.. call me a fool, but he sure fooled me.. i hope this helps

46  Economy / Services / Do this International Management assignment and get up to $200 in coinz on: May 20, 2015, 05:34:28 PM
So a friend needs this done:

"The paper does not have to be long, actually long paragraphs are discouraged. Just need to have some analyst, a couple of pages with bullet points and references
•   If there are three alternative courses of action, list the pros and cons of each … and, based
on these factors, reach a conclusion.
•   Use short sentences and/or with bullets, avoid long paragraphs
•   identify question and answer all parts of the question.
•   Include an introduction, a table of contents, and conclusion.
•   Quote references (from either academic or business sources)"

The real info is in this word document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rg2oPqC0t-qtTmwGQGR-oteFdspWy37CzppbyW1QOB4/edit?usp=docslist_api

But anyways the reward is $100 for submission, and another $100 if done well to be determined by the person who needs it..

Good luck
47  Economy / Services / Solve these 4 microbiology problems and get 0.2 coins on: May 12, 2015, 12:07:40 AM
Like the title says.. solve 1 get 0.04 and 0.16 bounty will remain on the last 3.. solve 2 and get 0.08 and 0.12 bounty will remain... same idea for the third such that 0.08 remains on the final problem... solve the last one and get 0.08 btc for the final problem.. if you can solve all four and you obviously get the full 0.2 btc

good luck!

Ok i have this sp20 miner but its sucking a bit too much power for my circuits.. i suppose i could underclock. or i could just run an s5..

50  Economy / Services / Solve these 3 math problems and get 0.1 btc (set theory-not too difficult) on: May 02, 2015, 07:15:45 AM
As the title claims.. first person to post correct solutions for all three problems will receive 0.1 btc. if someone submits correct answer for any 1 of the three they will receive 0.025 btc from me and 0.66 btc will remain on the remaining 2.. same idea if 2 are solved, such that the remaining problem will have a 0.33 bounty

i need the proof of proposition 6.7 as described here:

I need exercises 5 and 6 from here:

52  Economy / Services / Looking for terraminer 4 firmware 0.7.6 offering small btc reward on: April 28, 2015, 01:20:21 AM
so i "upgraded" the firmware on my terraminer to later version which as it turns out was a terrible idea. as such i am pretty dire need of the 0.7.6 firmware specifically as i know my miner likes that flavor. i'd be willing to offer a small reward to anyone that provides it
thanks!
53  Economy / Service Discussion / BTCflood on: April 26, 2015, 11:02:06 AM
I was a recent owner of a btcflood account that had been hijacked from my control less than a week after I had acquired it interestingly, just hours before it was due its first payout. After first noting this, I established contact with the admin of the site and it is this correspondence that is copied below, of which I have omitted all personal information. I will avoid making any value judgement or claims, and let you all make of it what you will. For the most part, you all seem to be quite a smart bunch of fools :p

I will add that the email address of the alleged hijacker did not register in their systems a few days after I began to pursue this issue with them, though in hindsight I should have tested it immediately. A cursory google search did reveal the gmail address to be associated with a credit card scammer/hacker, and later communication with this person did provide some more than cursory evidence of his innocence (albeit far from definitive proof).

Sorry its in reverse chronological order. Blame Google.

From this point there was no more response from the admin...

Honestly, I would be fine to prove to you my identity with the satoishis and for you to shut down the account even without giving the bitcoins to anyone. Just knowing that bastard did not manage to take all my money would be some consolation for me. If i can prove this would you not just destroy the payout requests?

I am not asking for any refund.. Only for my account back. Would verifying the wallets not verify the account's value is mine? Do you not agree that this cannot be a scam on my end in such a case? I cannot claim anything from any credible source if I do not hold the wallets generating the accounts value and as such only myself-as the current holder of the account if you return my stolen property-would necessarily be capable of that. Its logically impenetrable no?
Please understand what has happened on your service. I am not trying to scam your organization to give me anything not already compromised. Look up <redact> for 2 minutes on google and you will see who you are dealing with.
Thank you

Hello again,

Yes, maybe you can prove you own the wallets, then you will suggest we should refund and the current user (which can be again you) will not be paid and will ask for clarification. From our point of view this can be a good trick to scam our system. Hope you understand!
Acting like this means we do not respect our users and our system. This could cause the undesired precedent. You are not the first user trying this strategy. This is why we will always pay to the address on file at the date of the payment.
Or maybe you are honest and you really lost your account. We can not tell. If you lost your account we can help only by resetting your password using the email on file.

Wow he is such a liar. He did not pay for anything and stole my

<redact> (the user on cryptothrift ) and he can confirm his account
was <redact>if you want to give this a real investigation.

Hello,

After contacting the actual owner of the <redact> account I've
found out that he bought his account and also he asked me to believe
him and offered full support in solving this situation because he
cares about his funds.

This situation can be his or your attempt to steal BTC from us by
sending them to the wrong person or a simple attempt to withdraw
personal deposited funds from our system before term. Because
deciding in your favour can create a precedent by changing the rules
and the payment procedure, we decided we will not do any change. The
system will pay as always only to the payout address on file at the
time of the payment and respect the data of each account.

As admin I am not providing here any arbitration service and your
personal security issues is not under my control. If this is a real
problem and not a simple withdraw attempt then I suggest you to
solve your problems with the other part involved. You already have
some data from my first support email. From my point of view the
user that can verify that has access to one account has full
support.

Hey, I would just like to check up on the status of this issue. I
am
wondering also what can be done once you do realize that a hacker is
currently holding my account, and if there is any way you can restore
it to me. I am both ready and capable of providing any evidence you
can require although besides what I have given I dont know what else
could work. Please let me know of any developments, although I am
probably rushing this, as well as you, and I do apologize. I am trying
to not take this so hard, but this is a real blow to me.

At the very least, would you be able to stop payouts to this thief if
we cannot close this matter by the next one?
It kills me to see my money evaporating like this.

Thank you,

54  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Asus Maximus Hero VII motherboard LGA 1150 factory refurbished on: April 22, 2015, 05:06:11 AM
Thanks to being a dominant carrier of the dumbass gene, i fried my motherboard while performing a basic hardware upgrade. I sent the mobo to asus who had the wisdom to replace it with a fresh factory refurbished board, but i just ended up buying another one in the meanwhile as i am along with being a dumbass also pretty impatient. anyways i digress

The mobo is: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_HERO/
Its pretty killer, I ran it for ~6 months and the only complaint i'd have is the bios is a bit overdeveloped even.. but anyways im curious to see if this will sell here. I am asking 0.8 bitcoins which I think is pretty fair, but I am open to offers so please do send. This does not include shipping unless you live in US near me and dont mind if I send it with some toilet paper padding in large paper-thin envelope :p

oh and there is another 2+ years left on the warranty in case u happen to also be a carrier Smiley

EDIT: Motherboard is in hand and asking price is 0.7 btc including shipping inside the US, and I would be willing to cover half the shipping cost internationally... escrow aint a problem either

In case you think I'm into scamming and stuff:
55  Economy / Service Discussion / cloudminr.io is a nest of thiefs beware on: April 11, 2015, 11:18:42 PM
So I bought a hashrate contract from a fellow bitcointalk member recently, and since no one was responsive via messaging on the cloudminr.io site we transferred the account itself over to my control rather than simply the hashrate. I messaged them a few times over the course of approximately a week asking them to help move the contract itself as I didn't like having redundant accounts. After having not responded whatsoever for about a week, they updated their twitter saying they were processing all support tickets. The next day I try to login to my account only to find that it had been pulled from the system altogether-my email address was not even recognized.
A heads up to you all, this service is trash and I think they might pull an exit scheme at some point, so tread with caution.
I would not recommend giving them any of your bitcoins.

59  Economy / Services / Looking for math genius/grad student to do my homework paying btc on: April 09, 2015, 07:43:32 PM
I am enrolled in a introductory course for higher mathematics (modern analysis/algebra) so it should be pretty straightforward for anyone with math chops. I just dont have the time to do it myself this week as I am overwhelmed with exams in my other classes. Mostly its just set theory on the latest one, not too long either only 6 problems. I cant imagine it taking longer than 30-40 minutes for someone who knows what their doing.
I'm offering 0.08 btc with another 0.05 bonus if it comes back with a perfect score.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Preferred btc/altcoin currency markets to trade on on: April 09, 2015, 07:22:49 PM
I am curious to know what markets people find profitable to trade on against btc and on which exchanges. I am mostly curious about relatively stable ones that see a good amount of action with high volumes, but I welcome any kind of discussion on the topic. I am sort of tired of litecoins and I think they might be starting a devaluation.. Lately, I have been finding SDC and BTS to be good ones, as well as CANN.. well just cause :p
