45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's the most wanted coin generation method do you want? on: April 29, 2013, 06:19:22 AM
Hi guys, I'm t rying to design a new coin and I wanna get some help from this forum.
Right now I'm trying to design the generation logic and method of the coin, following is my method:
1. one block per minute
2. First year 32 coins per block
3. From the second year, coins per block double, that means the second year 64 coins per block, the third year 128 coins per block
4. In the eleventh year, 8192 coins per block, this is the top
5.  From the 12th year, coins per block reduce by half
6. In the 22th year, per block include 32 coins, then the number of coins per block wouldn't change forever.

In this logic, the total coins generated will be 17222860800(the first 22 years) + 168190 coins every year (From the 23rd year) .

How do u think about this method.
At first, the coins grow up, I wanna make this coin to be fair enough for later miners and users; And I don't want to limit the total number of the coin because I want to make this coin as similar as the real world money?
What's your suggestions? I wanna find a way that can be dynamic change the number of coins per block, maybe considering the compute difficulty and the whole net hash power.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / New liteCoin P2Pool released with 0% fees. http://xieluu.xicp.net:14006/ on: April 28, 2013, 01:52:38 PM

Its hosted on good hardware with easy scalability.
3% goes to the bank to cover server costs.

Stratum Address: stratum+tcp://xieluu.xicp.net:14006 (for CGMiners)
HTTP Address: http://xieluu.xicp.net:14006 (For Cuda miner, reaper, minerd)

Username: YourLTCAddress
Password: x

Cgminer line:
Quote
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://xieluu.xicp.net:14006 -u YourLTCaddress -p x  -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 -I 13

Hope u guys like this.

The pool feel is 0% and 0.2% donation to p2pool authors.

Tips: P2Pool mining takes a bit more time than PPLNS or other payout logic, the time depends on the speed of the mining pool, so, be patient!

Sometimes the server will go down and i will restart it, so mining at ur own risk.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I wanna design a new crypt coin, what features should be included in ? on: April 28, 2013, 03:41:43 AM
I wanna design a new crypt coin(based on or similar to btc or ltc), what features do u guys think should be included in this new coin?
Right now I think these little features should be included in the new coin:
1. no limit to the total amount of the coin, it's hard to generate as time goes by (similar to the real world);
2. transaction fees controlled to under 0.001% of total transaction, or maybe transaction fees is 0;
3. support borrow and lend coins (should pay transaction fees and interest fees);
4. at first, every block include no less than 1024 coins, every 10 years this goes half down, until after 50 years the coins in a block come to a stable number: 32.

I wanna implement the money liquidity and credit extensibility in this new coin like real money, and keep the good features that p2p bring to the coin.

Do you guys have any advice, please give me some advice.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / New FeatherCoin P2Pool released with 0% fees. http://dolfcao.oicp.net:13238 on: April 24, 2013, 11:34:47 AM

Based on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180983.0.

Modded P2Pool with some help from paul21.

Its hosted on good hardware with easy scalability.
3% goes to the bank to cover server costs.
I run 2 different nodes that will sync them self. You can run cgminer with both addresses and it will autoswap if something happens.

Stratum Address: stratum+tcp://dolfcao.oicp.net:13238 (for CGMiners)
HTTP Address: http://dolfcao.oicp.net:13238 (For Cuda miner, reaper, minerd)

Username: YourFCAddress

Cgminer line:

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://dolfcao.oicp.net:13238 -u YourFCaddress -p x  -s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0 -I 13

Hope u guys like this.

The pool feel is 0% and 0% donation to p2pool authors, please forgive me p2pool authors.

51  Bitcoin / Mining / How to check whether my p2pool is working correct or not? on: April 24, 2013, 08:18:43 AM
Hi guys,
I'm using p2pool to mining feathercoin, but i didn't get any feathercoins for about 4 hours, based on the generation speed of feathercoin rightnow, it's abnormal.

Does any one can help me to check whether the p2pool is working correct or where the mining coins been sent to? Although I use my own feathercoin address in the parameters while runing p2pool, is that possible these mining coins could be sent to other people?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / how to achieve 40000 kh/s while mining scrypt based coins like ltc and mnc? on: April 24, 2013, 02:51:23 AM
Hi guys,
I'm wondering how to achieve 40000 kh/s while mining scrypt based coins like litecoin, as I know for sha256 based coins like btc there are mining machine like BFL and avalon which provide many Gh/s, but for scrypt based coins how could i achieve about 40 Mh/s? As I see in some ming pool, some users have 18000kh/s or 39000 kh/s, how these mining rigs have been setup?

Any one could help?
