2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 20, 2023, 08:48:16 AM
Long back while having conversation with one of my girlfriend she said she was interested into cryptocurrency. Quite often she used to watch more details on Instagram posts and doesn't have proper knowledge to get into it. Days passed and today it is her birthday. I remembered the conversation and wished her. Already she had Binance, so requested her to send the bitcoin address and send a small amount of 0.0011BTC as birthday gift.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.

I've added the conversation that happened through the WhatsApp.

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Wrong Bets !!! on: March 08, 2023, 03:59:35 AM
Today morning received the weeks payment. I had the payment of the previous week. Altogether it was around 0.0055 in the wallet. The first bet was planned to be 0.0005BTC. Instead of placing 0.0005BTC, I misplaced 0.005BTC and the bet was lost. This was completely unexpected and it is my fault. If the bet have won my wallet balance could've turned 0.007BTC, now it is an empty wallet.

Have any of you encountered such wrong bets and won/lost Huh

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading and Front running!!!! on: February 18, 2023, 06:16:10 AM
On several instances traders have made good profit out of trades in much shorter time period. Most of the time this happens through insider information sharing. Several incidents have taken place and very few have got proven that trades were through insider information. Recently a trader have profited $100k+ in profit in less than an hour. Just before the token (Gains Network) getting launched, the user have bought $208335 worth tokens. At the time of purchase the price was $7.92 and once after the listing price have reached $12.01 giving him big profit. The practice of traders with insider information is termed to be criminal offence.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 16, 2023, 04:10:49 AM
Came across this video in which a person questions whether they prefer to take 100$ or Bitcoin. The kids never took time, all of the sudden chosen 100$. I'm not specific about the location this had taken place, but it looks like they're are Western people. This makes me think, awareness is not upto the mark and in all means we need to educate people. Even the Western young generation unaware of it is really unbelievable.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 16, 2022, 07:52:17 AM
For users who have been thinking about the real life usage of blockchain technology, here is an example. The Indian Police have launched a polygon blockchain based complaint registration portal. Indian district named Firozabad located 40km away from the world famous Taj Mahal have launched this complaint registration portal for the transparency of complaints lodged by the victims.

The project is developed to solve the issue of officials refusing to file complaint against victims and to avoid the manipulation of the complaints. With this people can easily lodge their complaints without fear and keep the complaints away from manipulation by the officials. This system will serve as a key system in the Indian Police System where corruption is a big problem from the lower level.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling - Do you have winning limits???? on: October 13, 2022, 03:25:50 AM
My choice of gambling is Dice. Regularly I used to spend some time playing dice. It used be fun most at the beginning and ends with sadness. I used to have limits on winning, if I was able to make the win I just quit it for the day. In such a way I used to gamble and once after the previous week campaign payment I continued till today. Finally today even after achieving my limits on winning, I went for higher winning. What happened is loss of entire funds in the wallet. I've got more similar experiences. Does anyone have used similar strategy on winning limits.

HAPPY 75thINDEPENDENCE DAY

On this day I would like to add something related to the freedom of money, bitcoin. How the freedom of money have progressed in India with time.

2013 - RBI issued 1st circular on cryptocurrency, mentioning the risks associated with it. This took place as a result of more cryptocurrency exchanges starting its service in India.

2017 - During this time period RBI announced that virtual currencies weren't considered legal tender, because there happened a good increase in the usage of cryptocurrencies as it is the beginning days of Indian population moving towards digital payments.

2018 - By the beginning of 2018 draft scheme was submitted for the ban of cryptocurrencies and this came with the banks stopping the cryptocurrency associated transactions. This caused a big fall in the trading volume on exchanges.

2018 - End of the year #IndiaWantsCrypto became a trend. This campaign was started by the WazirX founder and during the month of July, 2021 the campaign crossed it's 1000 days. More Crypto enthusiasts joined the campaign during those days. Even now the campaign is more strong.

2020 - The ban on banks to conduct transaction associated with cryptocurrency were taken by Supreme Court and this helped in the boom in the crypto market.

2021 - During this year Indian government announced it'll create a bill for cryptocurrency. More teams were formed for the same and discussions took place with blockchain and cryptocurrency associated experts.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Russia to legalize Crypto Mining Soon on: March 28, 2022, 11:27:29 PM
Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Evgeny Grabchak revealed statement about introducing clear regulations for crypto mining in the country. His statement served as a support for the cryptomarket and the miners within the country, because back in January cryptocurrency mining was banned in Russia.

During the first national conference of legal crypto miners  Grabchak called for introducing a regulatory framework for the sector at the earliest. In his statement he added

Quote
"The legal vacuum makes it difficult to regulate this area and set clear rules of the game. This legal vacuum needs to be eliminated as soon as possible. If we want somehow to get along with this activity, and we have no other options in the current reality, we must introduce legal regulation, adding the concept of mining to the regulatory framework".

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Cash Could Become Legal Tender on: March 22, 2022, 12:46:15 AM
Quote
St. Maarten, a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, could make Bitcoin Cash, the most prominent fork of Bitcoin, its legal tender.

Bitcoin Cash Could Become Legal Tender

There is no official information and I'm not sure how far this is true. When countries keep on planning to consider bitcoin as legal tender, a country to consider Bitcoin Cash as legal tender is a different view.

Brison is the world’s first elected official to accept his salary in Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency.

Quote
Brison described the Bitcoin fork as “innovative” and “fast-growing.”

During the fork it created the biggest controversy of cryptospace. Which is the true bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash was among the biggest cryptocurrencies by marketcap, but it wasn't able to keep up the growth. Earlier it was discussed as the contender for bitcoin, but it failed to perform. The one stated to be the true bitcoin now holds a 0.34% market dominance. I don't know how far this adoption of bitcoin Cash as legal tender gonna help St. Maarten.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Almost Lost Bitcoins Recovered - Forgotten Wallet Details on: February 15, 2022, 12:28:37 AM
Women named Rhonda have 6 units of bitcoin back in the year 2013. She had bought them knowing it through a radio talk show. While she was buying the price was $80 and she had used it for some time and forgot it until 2017. When the price of bitcoin increased reaching around $20000 she got excited and started finding her holdings on the computer.

She had lost her login information, she had got her password printed on a paper, but some letters on the wallet identifier is missing. She had tried for months and finally gave up.

Once again during the last year's rise of above $50k she got into getting back her bitcoins. Finally explored how can it be recovered on internet. Here she had found a father and son named Chris and Charlie Brooks who claimed to be “crypto treasure hunters." After having conversation with those guys she had handed every details about the wallet. Everything has been done through the video call and her bitcoins were back. Her wallet had got $175000 in bitcoin and she had paid Chris and Charlie 20% and $10000 for her daughter Megan. Have kept the rest on a secure hardware wallet.

I don't know how far this is true or is this a way of promoting Crypto Treasure Hunters, but this is really a happy moment for Rhonda getting back her bitcoins after nine years.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency market is growing good,..???? on: January 13, 2022, 01:17:20 PM
Cryptocurrency market have been growing good with more and more number of people getting into the market. By the same time there is more and more unwanted promotion being done around. In recent days more cinema professionals who aren't good enough with cryptocurrency are promoting different projects and exchanges. Recently I saw a tweet from one of the leading Bollywood actor promoting a particular project. Is this destroying the goodness of the market or it is a necessary one.

19  Other / Off-topic / Learn well before you invest in cryptocurrency !!!! - Awareness on: November 26, 2021, 11:12:19 AM
A man had died by suicide from one of the states of India after losing ₹70,00000 which in terms of USD equals around $94000. In a letter he has mentioned about the reason behind the death. Initially he have invested into cryptocurrency along with a friend and had gained good profit. The same had made him go for higher amount of investment. For this he had borrowed from friends and neighbours. Finally he wasn't able to repay the lenders, which made him end his life.

Here nothing is clearly mentioned, and it is said that he had invested in an app.

One should not go with greed into cryptocurrency investment. Also one should learn about the market well before making the investmen

Already Indian government is with a dilemma in regulating the usage of cryptocurrencies. Such incidents adds up them to defend.

Someway this will serve as a reference for users who think cryptocurrencies were a place to make immediate money. Now everyone will understand the risks associated with it. Maybe someone going through it will start learning more about cryptocurrencies before going for a high investment.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / India plans law that will prohibit ‘all private cryptocurrencies’ on: November 23, 2021, 04:58:46 PM
Once again India plans of banning all private cryptocurrencies through the bill that is into discussion on the winter session. The bill is called the Cryptocurrency and the Regulation of Official Cryptocurrency Bill 2021. Lawmakers have been into deep discussion about the regulation of cryptocurrencies. In recent days there is massive rise in the user profiles and transactions on exchanges. It is the middle class that hasn't invested on stocks or other assets have begun to start trading. This is the fear of the government, because it is the majority group of the country. Anyhow once after the winter session on parliament we'll get a clear stand of the government on cryptocurrency usage.
