Economy / Auctions / Quick Auction: Casascius 0.5 BTC Brass Coins x 2
|
on: June 28, 2015, 05:15:22 PM
|
Both in great condition. Never taken from their plastic capsules. Originaly purchased from nexus6 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=655501.0This is a quick auction. It ends today at 08:00:00 PM forum time. A bid within the last five minutes of the auction extends the time by 5 minutes. Minimum bid increment is 0.01 BTC. Starting bid is 0.7 BTC.Payment to be made within 24 hours of the auction ending. Please bid for single coins. The two highest bids will win. As there are two coins, you can bid twice at the same value. For example, if someone bids '0.8 BTC x 1', you can also bid '0.8 BTC x 1'. If someone was to bid '0.8 BTC x 2', the next valid bid would be 0.81 BTC. I have the final say if anything unusual happens/I have missed anything! Happy bidding.

Economy / Currency exchange / WTB 5 BTC in 6 months time
|
on: September 23, 2014, 02:03:23 PM
|
I'm looking for someone trusted on here (or someone willing to use escrow) to offer me the option to buy 10 5 BTC in 6 months time.
I would like to lock in a price now. There would be a fee payable by me for this service. All can be negotiated.
If there is no interest, any suggestions on how to achieve this through other means would be appreciated.

Economy / Auctions / CoinIndex.org - site and domain
|
on: July 19, 2014, 01:14:43 PM
|
I created this site, but to be honest I have badly maintained it and have done nothing to drive traffic. Rather than just shut it down I thought I would auction the site and the domain. Last 30 days there have been 122 unique visitors. Someone with more experience and time could turn this into a revenue stream I am sure? Starting Bid: 0.01 BTC Auction ends: Saturday, 26th July 2014 @ 21:00 UTC or if I accept an offer made. http://www.coinindex.org

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alt-Coin Transaction Volumes
|
on: January 03, 2014, 12:54:24 AM
|
How much does transaction volume matter when determining the price of a coin?
Is there a website that compares the number and size of transactions across each alt-coin's blockchain?
This would be really useful in determining actual usage of coins.
At the moment it seems to be all about market capitalization which doesn't give a complete picture.

Economy / Service Announcements / CoinIndex.org
|
on: November 01, 2013, 08:52:08 PM
|
This thread is to announce the launch of my website www.coinindex.orgIts aim is to list every relevant Bitcoin website on a single page and rank them in order of quality. The nature of this website makes feedback invaluable - please e-mail suggest@coinindex.org with: - suggestions for websites that should be included
- reasons why a currently listed website shouldn't be included
- categories that I have forgotten (or not got round to doing yet)
I hope that CoinIndex.org will be somewhere where you would link newbies to as an introduction to everything Bitcoin. Also, please report any bugs/typos/broken links. Many thanks

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wallet Security
|
on: October 28, 2013, 06:28:31 PM
|
I'd like to know peoples opinions on the risks of having my coins stolen in the following situation..
I purchase a new PC and only connect it to the internet to download/update Bitcoin-qt and to update the blockchain/send transactions.
The PC is not used for anything else.
I find it highly unlikely that the private keys could get compromised, but I may be missing something.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Unspent Bitcoin Dust
|
on: September 24, 2013, 04:45:25 PM
|
This is for a project...
Does anyone care to estimate the amount of unspent BTC dust that is left on various exchanges, gambling sites, online wallets etc.
For example, on BTC-e I have:
Balance: 0.00367673 BTC
It would be a great help if people could speculate on how much this might add up to.

Economy / Goods / [WTS] 2 x 10 LTC Lealana Coins in the UK - save on shipping
|
on: August 31, 2013, 10:07:51 AM
|
For sale - 2 x 1/2 Troy oz 999 Fine Silver 10 LTC Lealana Litecoin (with error) I'm from the UK, so you can save money on shipping fees. I purchased these directly from smoothie and they have only been looked at twice so are in perfect condition. They come with the case and certificates of authenticity. I will upload a photo later today. Not sure on exact price yet, but there will definitely be a saving to be made on postage for UK/EU people I would like 43 LTC each for the coins (or BTC equivalent) - the same price as smoothie.
Postage to the UK is FREE, EU postage will be at cost.
