1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 3 x Antminer S2 on: September 09, 2015, 11:02:45 PM
I am looking to sell 3 working Antminer S2 units.
They work great, no problem, I think one of them has 2 x's but still works great.
They get about 1 Th. Also they come with their own power supplies, so it's ready to hash out of the box.
Looking to get $150 for each + shipping or $400 for all 3 + shipping!

Power supply sold.

I will take payment through OgNasty's escrow services.
I've sold multiple items through here, you can check my trust.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / FS: Antminer S5 with Corsair CX750M power supply on: May 26, 2015, 03:24:25 PM
I am selling 2 bundles consisting of a Bitmain Antminer S5 and a Corsair CX750M power supply.
The power supplies come in the original box with all the cables. I don't have the boxes for the miners, but I'll make sure to pack them well.
I'm looking to get $450 for bundle A and $500 for bundle B, in bitcoin equivalent.
Bundle B is more expensive because it contains an awesome S5, runs cool and it has super low errors.
Runs at 387.5M at 1270GH/s stable, with 0.0093% error rate.
Look at the screenshots of the stats pages on the bottom of the post.

If you are looking to buy both, we can work something out.
I've recently sold 3 of these bundles to another forum member and he left me positive feedback.
We can use escrow with OgNasty, but you pay his fee.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM vs Corsair SP120 PWM on Antminer S5 on: March 03, 2015, 02:04:43 AM
After reading about the SP120 on the Antminer S5 thread I decided to give it a shot.
Tested fans:
Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM 3000rpm - http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=80&lng=en
Corsair SP120 PWM 2350rpm max - http://www.corsair.com/it-it/air-series-sp120-pwm-high-performance-edition-high-static-pressure-fan-twin-pack

The NF-F12 is about 50% more expensive than the SP120, $16 vs $24 each (prices from amazon)

All the tests were done on the same Antminer S5 using the same default 350M frequency.
The room was at a constant 65F and each run involved powering down the S5 then running it for 15 minutes before getting results.

Using 2 NF-F12s in push/pull configuration:
49C/51C | 1800rpm/1920rpm

Using 1 NF-F12 as push fan:
50C/54C | 1920rpm

Using 1 SP120 as push fan and 1 NF-F12 as pull fan:
55C/57C | 1680rpm/2280rpm

Using 2 SP120s in push/pull configuration:
59C/62C | 1800rpm/2040rpm

I will remark that the NF-F12s are about 5db louder at 1 foot distance but in the end I will stick with the NF-F12s since they provide better cooling.
The SP120s may be better when used on a heatsink but I think the high static pressure may not do as much good over the 10in of heatsink on the S5.
In the end the 110CFM of the NF-F12 won out over 63CFM of the SP120
Let me know if you have any questions.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Exhaust miners in AC return air? on: February 28, 2015, 01:48:39 AM
I have a forced air furnace (both hot and cold air) in a closet at my place, with a hole for the air return and I was wondering if during the time that the unit cools the air I could dump the exhaust from 1-2 miners into it?
Since the furnace just takes the air and cools it I'm thinking it may work better than exhausting the cool air to outside.
I tried doing some searches about this idea but I wasn't able to find anything.
What are your thoughts on this?
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Antminer S5 high error rate at stock speed on: February 27, 2015, 09:34:09 PM
I got a new antminer S5 a couple days ago and it was working fine, then I noticed my speed decline somewhat so I checked it and it seems that the error rate is quite high for stock speeds.
It's running in an insulated garage, using a push-pull configuration of 2 Noctua SSO2 iPPC 3000rpm fans.
Any suggestions/ideas? Is it a bad unit?
Thanks
