1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Forgot my passphrase on bitcoin-otc Help with bruteforce or finding another way on: April 10, 2011, 02:59:36 AM
So I forgot my passphrase (the one you need to do clearsign). My pass is most probably a 6 character passphrase with only numbers, and only containing 6 possible different numbers (ie: I know there are no 0s and 6s)

Could someone help me bruteforce it or something? Or does Kleopatra somehow store it somewhere?

I have 2 6870s and an i7 920 @ 4GHz so I think it should be fairly easy no?
2  Economy / Marketplace / Looking for a 5+ BTC loan, 1-2 days, no interest. EASY OTC rating ;) on: April 08, 2011, 10:37:56 PM
Looking to borrow 5 to 200 BTC (more or less if you want, these are guidelines). After deal is done, I'd like us to trade OTC ratings  Grin

Great way for both of us to get higher OTC rating. Loan must be of at least 12 hours. After 12 hours PM me and repayment will be made. Do not try to scam me with a BTC address switcharoo, I take all necessary steps to prove my repayment.

Looking for as many loans as possible.

Reason for these loans are simple. 1- Better OTC rating. 2- better trust in the community. 3- Huh?

My current BTC per day is 6.47 BTC per day on average. I have about 150BTC, and another 100 on clearcoin stuck in an option till May 1st. I also have ~400$ CAD.

I have perfect positive OTC rating of 2 I believe, perfect 3 postive ratings over at Hardwarecanucks: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/itrader.php?u=8801, and perfect 14-0-0 heatware under n-ster here: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=70864 with my profile links there as well.

Why up to 200BTC you ask? simple, builds trust much faster.
3  Bitcoin / Mining / If I am mining with 2 GPUs at the same time, but have a few problems... on: April 06, 2011, 07:11:25 PM
I get 5~10 Mh/s less per card when I run them together, any advice on that? Also, 1 card has 15~20 Mh/s dips below the other card every 5 seconds or so (ie: 1 second every 5 seconds) any tip on that?

I'm in a pool. for now, I am running each in a different pool, but should I put them both on the same pool?

EDIT: Only dips by 7~8 Mh/s every 5 sec when -f 120 is set on both
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Lowering mem clock to idle speeds SPEEDS UP Mh/s on: March 08, 2011, 03:53:18 PM
My guess is this works for all ATI cards (4XXX and up) but it may only work for certain cards only

I've tried countless test, and I've concluded that for my 6870 at least, I get up to 5% Mh/s increase by forcing idle clock for mem (300 from 1050). All tests I have done are with OCed core clock (1000~1045 from 900)

I used MSI afterburner. At 250 mem clock I got a 10% DECREASE, at 900~1200 mem clock I get a 5% DECREASE from mem clock at 300

Give it a try Wink

http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Go in your MSI afterburner folder in program files (X86 for me) and edit the msiafterburner.cfg

where you see [ATIADLHAL] make sure it looks like this:
[ATIADLHAL]
EnableUnofficialOverclocking   = 1
UnofficialOverclockingEULA   = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
UnofficialOverclockingMode   = 2
AccessibilityCheckingPeriod   = 0

in order to get lower memory clocks please follow this:

1- Open MSI Afterburner
2- Set Memory Clock to the lowest possible or to desired amount
3- Click Apply
4- If Memory Clock is not to the desired amount, close MSI Afterburner
5- Repeat 1 to 4 until desired amount is reached
6- Set Fan Speed

Same can be done to get higher core clocks

Donations are always welcome Smiley 167q1CHgVjzLCwQwQvJ3tRMUCrjfqvSznd

EDIT: It seems the most effecient memory clock is between 300 and 400. In my case, for 1020 core on a 6870 it is 344, you should experiment as well Wink
5  Economy / Economics / WTH? why a sudden drop by 10 cents? on: March 05, 2011, 11:29:04 PM
MT.Gox's selling price is now at 81 cents... it was at 90 cents a few MINUTES ago, at 92~94 cents 2 days ago...

is this a trend that will continue?
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Estimate of all cards' Hash/s :) also shows best hash/$ on: February 26, 2011, 12:01:31 PM
The prices are a tiny bit outdated, but gives you a great idea!
http://golubev.com/gpuest.htm

take the MD5 number and multiply it by 62.63 seems to work well for the 5XXX and 6XXX series, but for the rest, it just gives you an idea in proportion. I'm guessing each series of cards have a number like the 62.63.

another one with a lot less cards is http://pastebin.com/AvymGnMJ

you can then put it here for your average time etc: http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.php

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Status: 364 confirmations. This normal? on: February 24, 2011, 07:12:46 AM

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Import Error : DLL + bat file quickly flashes on: February 21, 2011, 08:41:17 PM
Alright so I'm trying to solo-mine with the Python OpenCL thing. My bitcoin directory is C:\bitcoin\bitcoin.exe, my poclbm directory is C:\bitcoin\poclbm_py2exe_20110215\poclbm.exe

I already created a bitcoin.conf file in the users\***\AppData\Roaming\bitcoin directory (yes extensions are being shown and it is really bitcoin.conf) and put
rpcuser=nster
rpcpassword=(mypassword)

I put a shortcut on my desktop with "C:\Bitcoin\bitcoin.exe" -server in target

I try to run poclbm.exe through command prompt gives me Import Error: DLL etc etc, trying through .bat file gives me a quick DOS pop-up and disappear. I will show Screenshots soon, but please help
