1  Other / Politics & Society / What if the minimum wage was set to 1 Bitcoin per hour? on: January 09, 2012, 04:06:51 AM
What would be the economic effects of setting a scarce currency to such legislation?

Let's assume Bitcoins can only be legal tender in this situation. Nothing else.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / r/EndTheBanks - One (1) Bitcoin Prize for Top 1000th Post on: January 09, 2012, 04:01:33 AM
http://www.reddit.com/r/endthebanks/

I will be giving a Bitcoin to the top 1000th post submitted on the r/EndTheBanks reddit; whoever has the link/selfpost with the most upvotes within 1000 posts on the subreddit will win.

If you win, you can either send me your Bitcoin address directly on here, Reddit or post it within your link/selfpost. I will contact you directly otherwise. You will have a total of 30 days to claim the prize, otherwise it is forfeit.

Thanks!
3  Other / Off-topic / In this thread, everybody changes their avatar to a bear. on: January 09, 2012, 12:47:03 AM
We have good bears, bad bears and evil bears.

We need more bears.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Obama's Plan to End the Wars: Redefine It on: January 07, 2012, 05:30:09 AM
Don't call them wars. You call it "Defending Peace Abroad". The populace won't be as fearful and think "Oh, our soldiers are maintaining PEACE." Yeah, peace.

Peace - Occupying every nation with troops, mandating martial law and killing everything that tries to resist to maintain their homeland along with every man, woman and child that gets stuck in the middle.

NOW WAR IS PEACE.

Organized resistance in the name of independence is terrorism. Organized oppression is giving people "democracy" and "freedom".
5  Other / Politics & Society / You know what's racist? on: January 07, 2012, 01:46:42 AM
Sitting back and letting your troops kill brown people in foreign countries where your country has no business in.

You know what's not racist?

Voting for Ron Paul and ending these violent wars.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / I am requesting a quote for a simple piece of code... on: January 06, 2012, 07:52:13 PM
I want a script that can parse the HTML/CSS of a 4chan.org board for the names fields and validate if they have the following:

- The word Bitcoin

- A valid Bitcoin address

If one or more of the names fields have the following, it will send 0.001%-100% of what is in a Bitcoin wallet to each address respectively (the earliest posts getting paid last). The script has to be configurable by the average computer-literate layman. I'd prefer it to be in a GPL-license and compatible with both Windows and Linux.

Can somebody give me a quote on this job in USD? Of course, payment will be made in Bitcoins.
9  Other / Meta / I am trying to understand why this forum has public Tor nodes blocked. on: January 06, 2012, 03:47:45 PM
Some friends and I have tried to register with our regular connections with Tor-based switches but they were blocked. No matter, we got some fresh Tor bridges that aren't on the public listings.

Why is this forum requiring that extra step? You're blocking a major part of your audience with this.

The abuse argument doesn't pan out considering a true abuser knows that public Tor listings are a no-go anyways. They'll go through the trouble of getting fresh bridges like we did.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / r/EndTheBanks needs your support. Bitcoin cannot live with public deception. on: January 06, 2012, 04:41:47 AM

Help get the word around about how central banks work and how fiat money is only debt used to manipulate societies. Once people realize what is wrong with our current system, they can begin to genuinely accept Bitcoin.

Thanks!
