Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Dear Satoshi Nakamoto
|
on: April 19, 2017, 11:39:43 AM
|
Dear Satoshi Nakamoto I would like to know your opinion about all the blocksize bitcoin drama. I believe a brilliant mind as your surely thought of this when developing Bitcoin in the ol' days. I know you couldn't quantify the time needed for this to happen but I'm sure you already thought about this evenience.
Personally i believe that Bitcoin is one of the greatest invention of the modern industrialised epoch, I'm supporting it since 2013 and still loving, but i'm really pissed off by this new way of thinking bitcoin as the product of a company. In example BU seems one of the biggest fail in Bitcoin history, and I'm not talking technically but about the bitcoin philosophy instead: they tried to corrupt morally all the community to follow their "altcoin" while trying to subvert in a corporative way the original meaning of BTC.
I would very pleased to know your opinion on this, I'm not asking to take a position on this just know what you think about it. If you are ever going to read this post i would be happy to tip you if you're going to give me an answer (lulz).
Cheers & have a bright life,
thanks again for your invention.
Bitcoin means from the community to the community, following the community not leading it.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / ETHESCROW - The first decentralised Dapp for Escrow, Crowdsale and ICOs

ETHESCROW - The first decentralised Dapp for Escrow, Crowdsale and ICOs
ETHESCROW is a new generation Dapp (decentralised app) living on the Ethereum blockchain. It allows users to participate into a Crowdsale, ICO, Escrow or any other situation where safe storage of funds is needed and high trust of partners is required.
Thanks to the ethereum Dapp features now we can easily set up a Crowdsale and take part into it without any fear of getting scammed anymore.
Why?
ETHESCROW is effectively a program running on the blockchain so that is public (anyone can look at source code of verified contract) and permit investors to send funds in a trustless manner. No third parties to trust are needed anymore since all the procedures and funds management are performed by the Contract itself (with public and trustable source code).
Once the deadline is passed someone has to wake up the contract (by sending a small gas tx) to have the funds sent to either the beneficiary or back to the funders (if the crowdsale failed cause sales terms are not reached). This happens because there is no such thing as an active loop or timer on ethereum so any future transactions must be pinged by someone (Not a problem tho)
How ETHESCROW service works?
Here it is a simple example.
Bob wants to launch his own product and needs a crowdsale , then he decided to create a fungible asset with the great ETH functionality of tokens creation, which will represent a "share" on the product after the crowdsale ends.
So he need a method to do this crowdsale without the problem of finding a trusted person or third party which will manage all the funds during the crowdsale process. Here it comes the Smart Contracts solutions offered by ETHESCROW.
We setup a contract shaped on your needings and then when contract is deployed on ETH blockchain as a Dapp everyone can safely invest in your crowdsale within a safe trustless system. Maybe you're asking if we can alter the source code for our own profit. The answer is no. Because the source code of each public contract will be verified publicly everyone will be able to check the genuinity of the contract.
So in example, Bob want to sell 50000 Tokens for 1000 ETHEREUM total of crowdsale, with a deadline of 30 days. Each token will cost then 0.02 ETH each.
The contract will be setup exactly to do what Bob needs: it wait for receiving funds. After a tx arrives it checks the amount of the tx and sends back the tokens to the investor address immediately. An investor doesn't need even to instanciate a contract in his wallet to receive the tokens after deposit cause tokens are anyway transferred to his/her account.
Also the contract could be set to send back coins to investors in the event of its goal (i.e. reach the max goal of 1000 ETH) is not reached. This is also a decentralised, transparent and democratic process because anyone can ask the contract about the amount raised. If the deadline is expired and goal is not reached when the contract receive a request about total funds gathered it will send back automatically the funds received to the original investors and it will autodestruct itself.
Thus all the investors participating in Bob's crowdsale are 100% safe against funds stealing and runways scams.
Many informations about our services, prices and demos soon.

Hello everyone, i'm proud and happy to present my first Ethereum subcurrency token: CELESTIAL.
CELESTIAL is one of the first subcurrencies tokens based and build on ETH blockchain. (Or maybe the first? )
To reach the contract and add to your Mist wallet please follow this steps:1) Open geth and let it synch fully with blockchain 2) Open Mist wallet 3) Click on "Contracts" tab in your Mist wallet. 4) Click on "Watch Contract" and fill the Informations as follow: CONTRACT NAME: CONTRACT ADDRESS: 0x6b02D45576cA8B21d72162C49b9b8741C1DC0940 JSON INTERFACE: [{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"name":"amount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"sendCoin","outputs":[{"name":"sufficient","type":"bool"}],"type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"name":"coinBalanceOf","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"type":"function"},{"inputs":[{"name":"supply","type":"uint256"}],"type":"constructor"},{"anonymous":false,"inputs":[{"indexed":false,"name":"sender","type":"address"},{"indexed":false,"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"indexed":false,"name":"amount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"CoinTransfer","type":"event"}] 5) Click on "Ok" and that's it! You got the contract synced in your wallet. You can now start to interact to it. More informations and updates coming soon on how to buy some of the CELESTIAL tokens with little ETH donation. Understanding Bitcoin unit divisions.Since i have seen multiple questions and error about BTC, mBTC, uBTC and all the Bitcoin's subunits i will post here some good links where anyone can deeply understand how the Bitcoin unit division works. It will take just some minutes and you will understand Bitcoin a little bit more Please check this useful links to understand better how Bitcoin unit is divided: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Unitshttp://youmeandbtc.com/bitcoin-converter/convert-btc-mbtc-bits-satoshis-usd/http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/114/what-is-a-satoshiBelow, a brief summary of Bitcoin Units: A Satoshi is the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin that can currently be sent: 0.00000001 BTC, that is, a hundredth of a millionth BTC. In the future, however, the protocol may be updated to allow further subdivisions, should they be needed.
Further examples of units •1 BTC = 1,000 mBTC (millibitcoin) •1 BTC = 1,000,000 μBTC (microbitcoin) •1 BTC = 100,000,000 Satoshis •1 mBTC = 100,000 Satoshis •1 μBTC (microbitcoin) = 100 Satoshis
Hope this helps! _Crypt1x_
