Hi guys,
So silly me sent out a transaction with no fee, I feel this is because I've had the bitcoinqt for so long the settings were set to free at one point, or I've changed them a very long time ago to no fee. Last transaction i made was about 1 year ago.
Anyway right now my transaction is sitting quite low in the pit. If any miners out there would help approve my transaction id be very happy, if there is anything I can offer, i will gladly do so thanks.
Edit: all good, a beautiful earthling has picked it up, 1 confirmation so i guess i should be safe now.
Regards

Hello all,
I'm a programmer proficient in LAMP setups. Having built websites for large and small customers. I have always been facinated by Bitcoin and everytime I think up a new business venture for Bitcoin, one thing stops me. My lack of understanding for handling bitcoin and the server infastructure required. Obviously I dont want to be making any mistakes and the trouble is most my ideas result in me holding money is some sort of hot wallet. So what can you the bitcoin community suggest to me? I've learnt from the mistakes of others and I don't want to repeat history, so is there any direction I can go?
Regards

Since I do not have the resources to perform this idea I'm going to share it with the community in hope that someone will bring the idea to fruition.
So, we are well aware of websites which ask for donations and in turn you receive something which is of value. One idea is private torrent websites which advertise VIP status or higher bandwidth rates.
So my idea is a hybrid between pyramining + a strong API and IPN which allows instant creation of accounts and communication with external websites.
How will this benefit users:
1. Users who donate to site X are getting a return on investment, which means they are getting value for free! 2. It helps the website because the ROI constantly increases based on how many, and how large deposits are.
Im sure any mining operation can do this since they already have the equipment required.
What do you all think?

I always assumed that it takes a solid hour for transactions to move from point a to point b with 6 confirmations.
It only took 10 minutes today? And whats even more crazy is that there has been 7 blocks found in the space of 10 minutes?
Whats going on? or is blockchain.info lying?

Hi,
Just had a question about the Blockchain download speed. Now there is countless topics about this but I just wanted to better my understanding about this a little further.
So we all know bitcoin is P2P, like torrents are. So why is it that a download for a blockchain takes so long compared to a private tracker for a torrent?
What causes the blockchain to be so slow, is it due to the fact that the internet speeds of these nodes aren't ridiculously fast like private trackers are? Or is it a totally different ball game?
Thanks

I stumbed upon this page http://www.google.com/trends/?q=bitcoinNotice how the Search Volume Index is ridiculously close to the bitcoin price at the time? Could this reflect the price of bitcoin for the future? with a SVI of 30 = 30 bitcoins? Useful or useless?

Hello,
I am a long time lurker, and have finally decided to get more active in the Bitcoin community. I offer web development services and I have a current client located in Canada, who also has access to a US Bank Account, whom is interested in paying me for my services via Bitcoin. I am currently located in Europe but have a bank account in Australia too.
What would you say is thes best, cheapest way to send money through bitcoin). Something reasonably quick, though more importantly cheaper then paypal.
Thanks
