1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to Disable OCL 0 in conf file on: March 29, 2016, 07:58:48 PM

I'm running 20 GSD dual miners on 2 10 port hubs using BFGminer 4.0.

What I would also like to do is to mine with my video card, and OCL doesn't cut it.

How would I disable OCL mining in the .conf file of BFGminer.  I would like it done in the .conf file as I use a batch file to call the .exe and .conf files.

I tried guessing the command within the command line (-d0, -d 0, -dOCL, -d OCL, -d OCL0), but it ends up disabling all the GSD (GSD0 - GSD9) and the OCL 0 keep on as normal.

Thanks.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / max 8 connections to Bitcoin Network on: August 16, 2015, 02:25:50 PM
With the last core update to Bitcoins wallet (v0.10.2), I can no longer get more than 8 connections to the network.  Most of the time I get 0-5, which with the size of the ledger, will take months to sync.  Bitcoin was given rights to pass through the Windows 7 firewall when the update was installed, so I do not understand why it is unable to connect to more than 8 nodes max.

I am running other cypto currencies wallets (Litecon / Dogecoin) with no issues connecting to the max nodes for sync, even following their software updates.

I've tried -maxconnections=##, but it appears that it is not a command line option with Bitcoin Core version v0.10.2 (64-bit).

I'm running Windows 7 64bit (fully updated), Bitcoin Core version v0.10.2 (64-bit), though 2wire Gateway DSL modem.  No Virus protection when running wallets sync.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / synchronization for weeks on: August 02, 2015, 02:48:47 AM
I'm running Bitcoin Core version v0.10.2 (64-bit) on my home PC with Windows 7 Ultimate.  I've had it running from scratch for weeks and it still have 1 year and 17 weeks to go.  At most I've had 8 active connections to the bitcoin network, but mostly no connections.

I've found that this newest release is where this problem started for me. it was slow before this release, but this is crazy slow.  I'm on a DSL modem through my local phone company.  The only change I've made to my pc is added a SSD as the old HDD failed.  It's a fresh install of the OS, current with all updates.

Any ideas/suggestions on why it's so slow?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Git not Git'ing on: July 01, 2015, 06:11:51 PM
Greetings!!
First of all...
I'm a newb to pi and raspbian, so please bare with me, but have been running CPU/GPU/cgminer/gridseed 5-chip and am comfortable with it that way. Would like to change from CPU to Pi for the gridseed 5-chip.

I'm trying to add bfgminer to my Raspberry Pi 2 running raspbian.
Everything went well until installing bfgminer.
 When I try to
 git clone git://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer.git
 I receive Cloning into "bfgminer"...
then it just sits there. Waited for hrs.

I followed the steps found in

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=517451.0

Frustration has set in and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I've tried many different mining images out there for the RPi, but am unable to get any of them to work.

Please help!
