2  Economy / Exchanges / Coinex CET token traded by Bot, Beware on: August 01, 2018, 11:12:45 AM
I think many of us know about Coinex which out of nowhere came out as one of the major exchanges recently. They are backed by viabtc and they have their native token called CET. Millions of CET were distributed to early users and millions of CET are being mined/distributed through their so called trade driven mining. But there is catch on this trade driven mining, many traders who have both large amount of CET and FIAT are using bots to manipulate the price of CET which can easily be detected when we look closely on their order book and order history. Some traders are buying tokens from themselves so that their trading volume can be high enough to mine maximum CET per hour according to trade mining rule in the platform.

Therefore be careful when you are willing to invest in CET with the greed of making good daily return from their investor dividend (0.50% per day right now).
3  Economy / Exchanges / Bitpanda will start PAN trading on 26 july what's your thought on: July 24, 2018, 07:49:58 AM
If some of you remember, there was one ICO launched by Bitpanda named Pantos few months ago almost half a year. I have also thrown few hundred bucks there and almost forgot it. Just gone through their page and found out they gonna fix the price per token 1 cent (EURO) per token which seems lower than ICO price.  Huh Roll Eyes

There trading policy seems quite confusing to me, they are forcing their investors to sell their coins for loss.  Grin

The price will be calculated by supply and demand, with Bitpanda providing bids and asks on its own books for Pantos.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / This is how I got hacked and lost $15, Customer support of the site hacker? on: July 09, 2018, 10:30:45 PM
I found https://upaycard.com/ which is actually a wallet which used to provide card before but I just register there few days ago and deposited 0.02BCH there (just $15). Sent a private message to their facebook page and asked them whether I can get a card right now or not and obvious reply was no not right now and we are searching for new card partner blah blah blah.

During my deposit,  I also asked live customer support how much confirmation needed for my bitcoin cash deposit and they said 6 and I said thanks.

I left the site and BCH there, next day I got 3 messages in my gmail where hacker exchanged and withdraw out my BCH in BTC from the platform in a minute and they processed it instantly  Huh

So question here is, yes I have used long password but the only person who know that I have created account there is facebook admin of upaycard and live support staff. Also this occur just next day of my account creation. Is it from their customer support staff?

Upaycard is now asking my documents, I haven't sent any support ticket to them after this incident because I want to cover some truth about loyality of their customer support here.

5  Economy / Service Discussion / Will we ever have a bitcoin debit card that works worldwide again? on: June 22, 2018, 03:27:21 PM
I don't think those old golden days gonna come soon, banks and government have joined their forces to regulate bitcoin making it almost like fiat. You can't just exchange bitcoin or buy/sell it for fiat without getting noticed by government or tax officers. So point of privacy while dealing with bitcoin at some point might just become a psedotruth.

What you guys think about this?
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitpanda Mandatory Verification Requirement -- What the F***? on: June 06, 2018, 11:19:19 AM
We all know all mighty bitpanda, yeah the one that allowed direct sepa transfer and also offers easy to use wallet.

Yeah, they also recently ran their pantos ICO in the name of better and upgraded service. Obviously I also invested there not much few hundred bucks..

Wow, got an email about new user interface they have and multi coin wallet with zero fee during transfer between two bitpanda accounts. Looks amazing...

Wait wait.....
This actually turn out to be worst, they have added mandatory account verification before you can deposit or do pretty much everything. I have money there man, I have tokens (PANTOS) so I don't have problem giving them my docs.

Lets search for my country in their verification page, what? They don't have it and not even 50 countries. It turned out they only have european countries in their list.

So now what how we all gonna get out pantos or other coins out?

Does other have same problem?Huh

No notice, nothing and now we can't even move our coins? Roll Eyes Embarrassed
7  Economy / Service Discussion / We've updated our Terms of Service - Every service why? on: May 18, 2018, 11:47:06 AM
I am getting email about terms of service update from like more than tens of sites (both bitcoin related trading platforms to non crypto related sites including google) within last few days. Why every service is updating their terms of service specially things regarding privacy policy and taxation rule (in crypto) just in a single week. Its just a coincidence or is it linked to any recent major data leak?? or its just to keep user happy who are concern about their privacy and keep government happy through increased surveillance and taxes.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Anybody can share their experience with cheap air? on: May 15, 2018, 11:14:40 PM

14  Economy / Service Discussion / Can't we make recaptcha like solution based on cryptography & blockchain on: December 06, 2017, 08:15:05 AM
Recaptcha
Solvemedia
Like solutions are based on clicking image or entering text in the field which is really time consuming and labor intensive. I can still remember once I spent over 5 minutes (with some breaks) to solve recaptcha click all images captcha to login in one of my account, which I think nobody wants.

So now on topic, do any of you know captcha solution better than recaptcha and based on cryptography or blockchain? I know about coinhive proof of work captcha but is this secure to use in sites?

17  Economy / Service Discussion / My concern regarding Eidoo - Wallet for ethereum based tokens + ETH on: November 02, 2017, 05:18:05 PM
I have recently downloaded Eidoo app on my phone tested with few ETH and tokens all works as expected.

There is also option to backup my wallet using 12 word passphrase, ok thats great.

Now I can recover my wallet using those words, but found that it only works with Eidoo wallet itself. So if one day it will be unavailable than where we can recover our wallet.

Went to Myetherwallet tried to recover my ETH wallet using those 12 word passphrase but couldn't as it shows me list of more than 100 of ETH address couldn't find mine there. Also there were many types of wallet to choose from when I was trying to recover my ETH address.

Does anybody have idea whether we can use those backup phrase in other ETH wallets or not like in myetherwallet?
