1  Other / Off-topic / I'm putting together a bitcoin clixsense team, make a minimum of $1.00 a day on: April 15, 2016, 10:11:45 PM
After a few months of crap payouts from the faucets, I started seeking an alternative means to make some money that I can then convert to bitcoin. I went through a lot of crap, found a bunch of scam sites, a few that paid, but were a nightmare to make any money at, then finally clixsense came into the picture. As with any paid to do anything site, there is always a lot of hype, and for the average user hardly ever any payout. I spent a lot of time on their forum and saw that somehow a select few found a way to make money at it. Not a lot, but enough to matter. In chatting with some of them, I took a bit here and a bit there and put together a way where i can make at minimum of $1.00 a day for less than 5 minutes of work. If you do faucets, you know that 5 minutes worth of faucet clicking and captcha entering makes you about $0.000001 USD.

I am not promising to make anyone tons of money, but if you have a PC and a smartphone, I can show you how to make $1.00 minimum while you take a shit in the morning. I know a ton of you have probably already came across clixsense already and dismissed it as without knowing how to work the system it can be a real bitch to make any substantial gains from it, but I can promise you joining my team will make it a lot different.

As the rules on this forum are pretty clear on posting affiliate links, I am not going to post mine here, but if you are interested, and have a few minutes to spare send me a message and let me know. If you sign up under my link via P.M. it puts you on my team. The thing with affiliate programs is as i am sure you all know, I don't make any profits if you don't and i value my time so i would not be wasting it if i were not going to get paid.

Benefits of being on my team:

1: Someone to hold your hand and make sure you make money with little to no effort
2: if you want to spend a little more time and venture into higher earning but more time consuming things to make money, I can save you tons of time you would waste on things that NEVER pay on clixsense.
3: I am smart enough to know that if you don't make money, I wont either. So trust I want you to get paid.

A few things you should know going in.

Clixsense is hard to fool, Your first payout has to be Via check by mail and you have to make $10 to request that check. Checks are sent on the 10th of every month. I can assure you I can get you to $10 in no time, but you will have to wait until checks get mailed to get your first payout. After that, you can get paid via paypal once per week. If you're one of those everything is a scam, raging teenagers, with no patience or understanding of how the world works, save us both the wasted time as I don't really want you on my team.

At least once per month, your going to have to break down and do a survey or two to keep up appearances. 90% of them waste your time and will aggravate the piss out of you. I know where the 10% that pay are. I will share that info with you if your on my team, if you don't listen and waste a bunch of time on the 90% that don't pay, I don't want to hear about it because I already told you

I am going to leave it at that for now, in the back of my mind something tells me that I am probably wasting my time here, time will tell i guess. Message me if you want to give it a shot, and i will give you my affiliate link.
2  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] #OpWhiteRose commemorative bitcoin on: April 08, 2016, 03:59:20 AM
Pics can be found here on IMGUR I'm not the best at photography so I just took a bunch of pics.

100 of these were made and given as gifts at an anon event, I am the proud owner of 3 of them  Smiley . I need to sell one of them to get a bus ticket to Seattle for the rally.

I'm $42usd short of the ticket so I would like to get $42 + Shipping which is $5.95 in the US, plus whatever the escrow fee is if you want to do escrow. In short, however the transaction goes down I need to make $42 at the end. Due to the time constraint on when I need the ticket by, I can only offer to sell it out of the USA without escrow as the item would not be able to arrive before I needed the funds so maybe we can just keep the sale to someone in the states.

The coins are 3d printed. I think it's PLA but I am not for sure as I don't own a printer. They have an SD card slot in the top of the coin to hold an SD card, you could use it as cold storage if you wanted. It does not come with the SD card as the SD card that came with it had info which was for attendees eyes only. The coin is 4.33" dia. and about 5/8" thick. It has a neat little guy fawks mask on the side of the coin aligned with where the white rose is on the face of the coin and reads #OpWhiteRose with the year 2016 in roman numerals.

If you don't know what #OpWhiteRose is then this probably isn't something you would be interested in so I am going to save the explanations.

Thanks for looking  Cool
3  Economy / Goods / [WTS] AudioTechnica AT2020 USB+ cardiod condensor mic on: March 17, 2016, 11:04:33 PM
Title says it all, Mic is very, very lightly used. Price is $75 + Shipping. Might include a Samson shock mount and desk mount scissor stand if you are willing to pay the extra shipping as it would require a larger box.

I have the original box, manuals, pretty much everything. It is only a few days since it was opened. Mic is VERY sensitive and gets crystal clear sound. Too sensitive for what I wanted to use it for after testing so you basically get a $75 discount because I opened the box and used it once to check it out.
4  Economy / Goods / WTB Tongkat Ali & Epimedium SEEDS from Southeast Aisa on: March 15, 2016, 06:25:34 PM
I am looking to acquire seeds for the plants from Southeast Asia somewhere. Payment via Bitcoin, escrow is mandatory and I will pay the fee's. Seeds must be organic and naturally harvested. I have recently lost my garden due to an irrigation failure and need seed to restart. Shipping will be to the USA. I will only purchase seeds from Southeast Asia including but not limited to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.

I must warn that I have been growing these plants for over 25 years and know commercial seeds when I see them, before anyone gets any hair-brained ideas remember this transaction will be conducted via escrow and if you try and send me junk it will be you who loses money in shipping not I. If you cannot run to the nearest roadside or treeline and grab these seeds if you don't have them already for your own use then please don't bother wasting my time. If you can however, I am looking for 25-100 seeds for each plant and am willing to pay FMP for each seed so it is for sure worth your while.

Thanks Smiley
5  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Used and dead laptop or power tool batteries on: February 20, 2016, 06:47:41 PM
Hello all,

I am pretty much always in need of old used or dead laptop batteries as I give a lot of them away during local children's events. I want to start taking my BTC earnings from my faucet referrals and alt-coin trading wins and turning them into used batteries every month instead of converting it to fiat then trying to buy them locally all the time.

I am making this post a bit in advance as I just spent my wad for February last week, I just wanted to get word out to let people know that i will be buying as many as i can afford every month and to keep an eye out for them.

Guidelines:

The only batteries I buy are Li-Ion, and not from apple machines. Laptop batteries only, no tablets or smart phones.
For dead power tool batteries they mus also say Li-ion on the battery
For safety purposes the batteries must not be physically damaged, they are not safe to ship or handle in that fashion.

Pricing:

I pay between $1.50 & $4.00usd per battery, it is determined by the battery, The list of batteries is entirely to long to post every one of them here so if you want have a battery and want to find out what i am willing to pay for it, write its part / model number in a reply here and I will look it up and tell you. PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME!!!! Posting it publicly in the thread means I wont have to answer the same question twice for the same batteries.

The pricing is I quote is NOT negotiable. They are JUNK batteries and if you don't sell them to me they are most likely going to go in the trash or at a local battery recycling drop box. Selling them to me means that a few kids every month get a really cool experience racing RC cars and get to take their car home with them at the end.

Shipping:

Until I figure out something solid, this is going to have to go on a case by case basis. I am thinking using flat rate shipping is going to be the best option but I have to look into it. Either way I will pay the shipping, I just need to figure out the cheapest way to do it.

Location:

For now I will be buying from sellers in the USA only, this is subject to change when I find out about international shipping of batteries but for now it is USA ONLY

Payment:

Payment will be made in BTC only for now. If requested escrow is available through TECSHARE at no cost to you the seller. Otherwise you the seller will be shipping first.
In the future if this proves to be a good source for me to find batteries I may also open up to paying with paypal when we get some descent donations from the parents at these events.

Other Notes:

I usually consolidate my coins once a month. Typically the 3rd week of every month. I anticipate that I will be making my first purchases form the forum members here around the 3rd week of March. Until then, if you have some you are willing to sell, let me know below so I can keep track. I will buy them first come first serve until the funds run out. I will resume buying from the list in order again once more funds are received.

I am not rich in the financial sense, that means I will not be able to buy every battery right away, but if your willing to wait I will make this promise. I will buy every battery with Li-Ion cells you guys can find for me for as long as I have the funds if the shipping can be done reasonably, when the funds run out I will have to wait, but when I get funds for it again I will start right where I left off until the money is gone again. PLEASE do not throw them away. If your going to throw them away then give them to me for free. I will pay the shipping if its reasonable where you live.

6  Economy / Goods / (WTB) a 3d printed model, File inside. on: February 03, 2016, 08:27:43 PM
Hey all, Looking to see if there is anyone here with a 3d printer that is willing to print and ship things for bitcoin. I am going to have a few parts over the next few months that i need to get 3d printed and want to find a few "go to" guys for the projects.

I found the STL file for the first piece i want printed @ the highest resolution possible. the .stl can be found HERE

Please either post or message me your bid on the price for printing one of these items. DO NOT include shipping as i will be e-mailing you a shipping label for it so all you have to do is print it, put it in a box, print the label, and drop it off at the post office.

I will probably be needing 10-12 of these in the coming months so whoever has the best price for a good resolution will need to be available to print more in the future. I am starting with only 1 piece to test the quality and to make sure the design works.

As i said, i will have a few different pieces i need printed, this one i just the first one i found. I plan on spending around $1,000-$1,500 USD on 3d printing services in the next 4-6 months and would like to have 1 or 2 people to go to with fair pricing to get it done. I just prefer to use bitcoin VIVA LA BTC!

For bidding please do not submit bids over $18.89 as there are a few places online i can get them for that price already but they do not take BTC which is my preferred payment method.

ESCROW IS MANDATORY, I WILL PAY THE FEES.

8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How to convert Hex keys to WIF as a math problem? on: January 09, 2016, 11:11:10 PM
I have noticed that behind the scenes of bitcoin code there is a lot of math. Which made me wonder, Is there a way to convert a hex private key to WIF using a mathematical algorithm? If so, could someone please post the formula as i cannot find it anywhere if it exists. I am by far no math wiz or anything i just find math interesting sometimes, and this is one of them.
9  Economy / Goods / (WTB) solar watt monitor on: December 28, 2015, 05:39:58 PM
Hi all, I am looking for a "solar watt meter" There are a lot of products on the market to measure exactly how much sunlight an area gets, but what i want is a single cell solar test kit in which i can set a single unit containing 1 6"x6" solar cell outside hook it to some sort of electric monitor and at the end of the day, go grab the device and see exactly how many watt hours that single sell produced in the day.

This is not an item you can buy off the shelf, at least not that I have found yet, and I am not the best with electronics so I would not know where to start when it comes to building one.

I know that in this community there are a ton of electronics guru's and someone is going to read this and be like "hey, I can make that, and its not that hard" If that's you then post below and let me know. I can provide the solar sell. You provide me with the cost for you to make this for me, i put that money in escrow with one of the trusted escrows, send you the cell, you build it and ship it to me, i test to make sure it works, and the escrow sends you your money. Its that simple.

Now accepting quotes.

Edit: After reading the post i realized i should probably explain a little more so when the right person reads this, they have all the info they need.

There is a lot of rough calculation to determining how much direct sunlight a particular spot on the ground gets in a given day. That works for gardens, home design etc. what i need is an almost exact calculation which is why i need this device.

If i use a 6x6 .5V 4.04 watt solar panel, hook it to a meter put it outside the night before, let it sit all day and when the sun is 100% down go grab the meter it will tell me exactly how many watts it produced in the day, i can then take that number divide it by the 4.04 watts or more so watt hours that the cell outputs and know exactly how much sun it got that day.

Thanks for reading
10  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / THIS IS AN ISSUE: Bitcoin mining network uses a min. of 257 Megawatts per hour. on: December 27, 2015, 10:02:18 PM
So in an after class discussion today i brought up bitcoin mining and how it was revolutionizing "transfer of value" or commerce. My professor challenged us to calculate roughly how much energy is consumed per hour, day, month, and year to explain why this was not a sustainable venture. I dont care to speculate about its sustainability but at the end of a few short math problems i quickly realized how much of a problem the bitcoin mining network is and that is what i am here to share / talk about. Please keep on topic with that as the sustainability of the network is of no interest to me and i am really only here to see if there was an aspect or angle of looking at the power consumption that i had not realized.

Now onto the math

At my best calculation the most efficient miner on the market today is the bitmain S7, drawing roughly 1293W + 10% for 4.73 TH/s, for the sake of calculation we are going to assume the entire network is that efficient.

So to start we take 1293W / 4.73 TH/s to calculate that the draw is roughly 273.3W per TH/s

So the network would be running @ a rate of 273.3W per TH/s

According to blockchain.info at the time of writing this, the bitcoin network is running 943,007 TH/s

To calculate the energy draw on the world grid we would then take the network has rate, assume everything was as efficient as the S7 and do the math.

943,007 TH/s X 273.3 W per hour and come up with 257,723,813 Watts per hour, or translated into a more friendly number roughly  257.724 MegaWatts of power per hour.

So to put that in perspective assuming the entire network was as efficient as the S7 again our network consumes:

Per hour: = 257.724 Mwh (That is over half the energy produced by the smallest nuclear power plant in the U.S.A)
Per day:  = 6,185.376 Mwh or 6.186 GWh (to put this into perspective Gigawatts is the unit of measurement they use for nuclear power plants)
Per Month: = 185.58 GWh (yeah that's Gigawatts)

Annually at its current rate as of now the bitcoin network consumes 2226.96 GWh annually. Edited to reflect a mistake in the original math.

THAT IS A SUPER SCARY AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION AND A METRIC-FUCK-TON OF A LOT OF FOSSIL FUEL CONSIDERING A MINUTE SEGMENT OF THE WORLDS ENERGY IS GREEN.

Now, with that being said, my math might be a little off, there might be a few factors I did not account for as i am not a big bitcoin fanatic like most of the members on this site, but none the less at surface value these numbers are a close guess i know. Knowing that the bulk of the network is not up to the S7's efficiency standard, i know that even if my math was a high calculation that the true numbers are in the ballpark i estimated or higher.

Let's have a civil discussion about this and as a group see how close to a true calculation we can come up with, and maybe speculate a little about what we could do to help combat this problem.

NOTE: THIS IS A SELF MODERATED TOPIC, THERE WILL BE NO ARGUING, RUDENESS, TROLLING OR OFF TOPIC GARBAGE HERE, LETS ALL BE GROWN UP'S AND HAVE A CIVIL, CONSTRUCTIVE DISCUSSION. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SOMETHING USEFUL OR INSIGHTFUL TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISCUSSION THEN PLEASE MOVE ON AND SAVE ME FROM MODERATING
11  Economy / Services / Looking for someone with a large format printer to print a few one-off's on: November 28, 2015, 02:53:47 PM
I am looking for someone with a large format printer that would be willing to print off a few one off posters for my office. Minimum of 16x20" required, would prefer larger if you have the ability. Willing to discuss price so it is both profitable for the right person and cost saving for myself. Escrow accepted and mandatory before funds change hands. No escrow, no deal, unless your name is Satoshi Nakamoto. I will have all the files to be printed ready by the end of next week and am hoping to find someone before they are ready so i can make any format changes needed in advance to avoid doing work twice.

Thanks for looking, hope to do business with one of you soon !

13  Other / Off-topic / How many Bitcoiners Smoke Cannabis? on: August 24, 2015, 09:57:18 PM
Just a quick poll to get a ballpark of how many bitcoin users also smoke cannabis. Doing some research to see if it would be worth while to open an online head shop that accepts Bitcoin to sell my glass stuffs.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Help me with making some vanity addresses? on: August 24, 2015, 07:47:19 PM
Very, Very, new to bitcoin here, just installed my first ever bitcoin wallet about 20 hours ago and now I have some questions that I am hoping this community can help me with.

I want to generate a bunch of bitcoin address that start with "1GLASS". I am a glass blower (Lamp-worker) by trade and after being approached a few times at a recent trade show if I would accept bitcoin for my pipes I figured I would look into it before the next trade show.

I have downloaded and extracted the vanitygen64 program and am able to make a single "1GLASS" address that I have to copy paste from the cmd prompt but what I would like it to do is output some kind of list of "1GLASS" addresses into a text file or a spreadsheet format of some sort. So it makes more than one at a time that way I can just leave the program running for a few days and have a bunch of addresses from it without having to watch it and copy/paste every time it finds an address.

Thanks a bunch to anyone who can help me with this.
