1  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Scrypt Miner Difficulty - Anfängerfrage on: March 31, 2021, 11:27:49 AM
Heyho,
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Question about miner difficulty on: March 31, 2021, 10:31:28 AM
Hey there,
I have 4 Scrypt Miners with approx 4.2Mhash each. The best difficulty for each miner is about 512 for my preferred pool. But is the difficulty on pools to set per device (d=512) or because I have 4 of them i must set it to  4x512 (d=2048)? I am confused...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Is mining-dutch.nl bad for small miners? on: March 22, 2021, 10:55:14 AM
Good day everyone.
Sorry when its written a bit cringy but I am really upset where the mining from 2015 when i started has gone within 6 years... Undecided

When mining on mining-dutch.nl I ran into a really big problem:
I have a small miner with batteries and a solar panel attached which do 8-14Mhash on scrypt depending on battery load, sun etc...
Want to mine Doge there alonside with other coins when I ran into one big no no:
When I open the wallet they point on their TOS that they remove your coins automatically within 6 Months. Not because deprecaded or abandoned coins, no, ALL COINS are gone after 6 Month.
So I am doing some math:
How many doge you must I get if I doesn't want to get ripped off?
75 Coins / 180 Days = 0,4167 Doge per day.
So I can get really close to their 6 Month policy.

My problems are these:
When Elon do some tweety tweet or other things are happening the max payout could be lowered or bad way it could be higher. These Coinpool doesn't even have an option for manual payouts... Due to the dynamic here in the world like 6 month is a long time for mining, I doesn't want to have the risk to loose all my hard earned coins with that small miner.
Anyways I think thats a greedy way to get more than 1,9% fee out of their customers. Just raise the fee what is more transparent and fair as this 6 Month thingy with permanent attention when clicking on workers when logged in to be in a legal gray area. Things got a bit ridiculous here in my eyes...

So where can I mine with a small miner without getting ripped off by too big AP thresholds and imaginal timelines from pools? Its even hard today to get a pool without phone number requirement, whats also really annoying...

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best mining software for G-Blades on: April 10, 2017, 08:55:44 PM
Hey,
I'm a hobby miner and using cgminer 3.7.2 for the G-Blades.
I have read that the software doesn't show the hashrate correctly,
but on which version should I update? Or should I change it completely...
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Possibility to enable Dual Mine mode on Gridseed G-Blade on: April 10, 2017, 09:42:39 AM
Hey there,
in a lot of articles around the internet i have read that the G-Blade has GC3355 chips in it. This chips have the same name like in the usb / Dualminer.
I have found out that the Pinout of the Gridseed make it possible to load there any software that you want (ic2 bus or something like these).
So maybe there is a chance to enable the Dual Mine mode... a very small but yeah...
you think this is possible?
This is not an idea to make the Blades rentable again,

7  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Gridseed import aus China - Probleme beim Zoll! on: April 02, 2017, 10:26:13 AM
Hallo,
Cheesy
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 3x 60W Gridseed G-Blades over PCIe 6-Pin Connector on: April 02, 2017, 07:13:33 AM
Hey there,
I have just a little question. I have bought a new Miner but I don't want to use for each one a power supply.
So I want to change that to an PC ATX Power Supply.
I need 3 connectors, after a little research I found this offer:
http://wholesaler.alibaba.com/product-detail/Wellcore-30cm-PCIe-Female-6-pin_1745885578.html

My Power Supply is a "Corsair VS650", could it handle the 3x 60W over time with this connector/adapter?
I better ask here before I risk a miner burnout or something like these...

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gridseed G-Blade - 12V short circuit on: October 12, 2015, 01:12:23 AM
Hey there,
i have an Gridseed miner and today there was the big bang:
One of the blades gets a short Circuit on 12V...
When i plug in the 12V Power Supply is fast go on and off (short cut protetction or so).
The USB part is working fine, the red light goes on and off.

I haven't overclocked the blade or've changed any resistors. The only thing is I
used an other fan (12V 0.26A)... I read in this thread that when you overclock the blade the mosfets can burn out due overhat, so
could it be that the Mosfets gets too hot or something and burned out because i changed the fan?
On the Other blade side the fan and so on is working.

Optically tere is no burning mark or bad capacitors.

Are there any measure points to test the chips or something?

Please help me  Embarrassed
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / GSD 0 Failed to send work (CGWatcher doesn't recognize) on: October 07, 2015, 09:54:16 AM
Hey there,
I have a gridseed miner and every 2 or more days bfgminer (any version) said GSD 0 failed to send work.
The other blade is working fine.
So I found out that CGMiner has an "detect sick or dead" devices option, but this stupid program
doesn't recorgnize this error.

So anyone know there are any other programs that could observer the log or something like that to reboot the
system if this error occured?
