1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 22, 2024, 10:46:13 AM
No one is talking about this fight but it's a title fight with the underrated boxers in the heavyweight division. How do you see this fight, who has the upper hand here between the two?

Zhang came from 2 fights KO win against Joe Joyce, while Joseph Parker upset Deontay Wilder last month on a fight in Riyadh.
This fight is part of the 3 fights in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but it's a title fight so it's worth discussing.

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / How do casino owners benefit from creating multiple casinos? on: December 22, 2023, 02:37:09 AM
I have noticed that there are multiple casinos in the crypto space owned by the same person or company. I am curious about the reasons behind creating additional casinos when there is already a running and profitable one.

How does this practice contribute to their business? It seems illogical as it might increase operating expenses without an obvious benefit.

Gamblers, any thoughts on this?
3  Economy / Speculation / Why people are hype when they hear the words "institutional investment"? on: August 06, 2021, 05:13:25 AM
I just notice that the words "institutional investment" is very huge in crypto.

can you tell what is the expectation when institutional money is invested?
Do they bring the progress of adoption in the crypto space? or they are just like the whales who buy cheap and sell high for a profit?

I think adoption would result in regular use, but if they'll buy for investment purposes only, that's not "adoption".
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Miners are happy, while we suffer? on: May 24, 2020, 11:06:41 AM
I have observed recently that the transaction fee for bitcoin transfers has significantly increase, I was wondering if this would help bitcoin to grow further if people are suffering from high fees while miners are doubling their income, is this the result of the halving we have been anticipating?

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-miners-double-revenue-fees-have-spiked-over-200-in-10-days-since-the-halving/

Quote
Bitcoin (BTC) miners earned 44% more in transaction fees in the nine days since the halving than they did for the whole of April. If this continues miners will have more than doubled their income from transaction fees going forward.

Please share your thoughts. Sad
