1  Economy / Reputation / Full member's shill like actions and their possible bumping services. on: June 13, 2020, 07:40:16 AM
I thought to report this on List of advertising shills but as that topic was locked, decided to have this.

Profile on discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=292589 ; roxroxy.

They have started multiple topics to recommend vite.org/vitex:
How I made 1 BTC in 4 mth on ViteX
ViteX Made Me 1 BTC (70% ROI) in 4 Months!
Which is the best crypto currency in 2020 for online investment?

roxroxy is having long gap in posts between September 04, 2015 and July 28, 2019. Must have been woken up just to bump the ViteX Exchange's ANN.

Most probably alt of ViteLabs, might have bought to bump their ANN.
They bumped ViteX ANN here and here and VITE here.

Please tag roxroxy accordingly so that people may not get misguided while going through altcoin discussions.
2  Economy / Speculation / Numerous altcoins and tokens also a reason for bitcoin's downfall ? on: January 13, 2019, 06:42:25 AM
In the past also (more particularly by late 2013 after bitcoin hit $1k for the first time), every Albert and John started their own cryptos as some people cracked down step by step guides for creating new altcoins (before it was a services by few people with some big payments). Still, bitcoin managed to beat them all and managed to gain value over the time.

But, after ethereum based tokens started evaluating, we did see lots of ICOs and then their tokens started impacting bitcoin's dominance in total crypto matketcap. I always do have second thoughts like if ethereum was not introduced or at least not if it was not heavily bumped, litecoin must have been the king of alts till now. But, now it seems if there were less successful altcoins then people would not have deviated their money into alts but they might have kept their money within bitcoins, which might have helped bitcoin to have value at least up to the level of it's today's fair value.

Is it time to regulate altcoins/tokens/ICOs ? Because, they are misleading investors and by-which making hurdles on bitcoin's progress.

Here is one recent article which will give you an idea on why we must work on regulating altcoins and ICOs:

3  Economy / Scam Accusations / ZarFund - An obvious ponzi and potential scam on: September 09, 2016, 04:47:37 PM
As OP of this thread locked but not forgetting to bump this thread, I smell some scam attempt with his project.

I am not sure about acceptance of MLM by MOD/DT here. But giving fake promises like Signature Campaign Coming Soon is not acceptable.

I request negative trust for that OP for running ponzi.
I believe that thread must be moved to games and round (or should be deleted/archived ? ).

Edit :
Here, their another similar attempt.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Block numbers are missing in blockchain.info on: September 03, 2016, 08:05:11 AM

It's wired that some of sequence block number were missed out in "blockchain.info"
Is it a problem of connecting with nodes or any other meaning behind this. Anyway praying for not a hack and for my bitcoins are safe there.

Edit:
Now it is showing all the blocks here : https://blockchain.info/blocks
Hence looking this thread.
5  Other / Meta / Please remove/lock scam attempt threads on: August 02, 2016, 05:55:17 AM
I do see a practice of deleting threads which are begging for money (including asking donation/asking support in money).
Why not Staff members enforce same rules to "confirmed scam attempts". Permanent locking of those threads also would save many members from possible scams/problems.

I know classifying as confirmed scam attempt is hard. But concluding with an old scammer is not a big deal, I believe.
Here is the case I am talking about:

6  Other / Archival / How many satoshi you earned today ? ( Daily thread ) on: January 08, 2016, 03:16:14 PM
It would be boosting for the newbie if we share how much we are earning from faucets/gambling or any other methods.

Preferred unit: satoshi.
