So I've been looking at exchange APIs recently, and I was trying to find an exchange with a WebSocket API for an experiment.
Unfortunately, the only ones I've found are Poloniex, which seems to be impossible to use reliably, (It 502s 90% of the time, and times out after a few frames of data the rest.) and Bitfinex, which I'm trying to stay away from.
Are there any other established exchanges that provide WebSocket APIs, or otherwise decent APIs with robust rate limits?
In addition, it'd be nice if they had a large variety of altcoin pairs.

This was an attempt at debugging something that turned into a full fledged project. Have you ever wanted to buy a product by donating to one of your favorite charities? Well now you can. Our selection of products is limited at the moment, but will expand if people wish to donate their products. Both the content creators and myself take no cut from this. It's simply a reward for donating to a charity. Also, since all transactions are processed by the Blockchain.info API, it's completely transparent (you can follow the coins to their destination), and even the transaction fees are covered. Please message me if you have any problems, or if you'd like to donate your work. You may also submit a response here to submit your work: https://caffeinewriter.typeform.com/to/IAcVZJCurrently the only products are an ebook on arbitrage trading, and an album by an artist I know. No refunds will be given, as the site holds no BTC. The prices specified are only a minimum. If you send more, it will be forwarded right along to charity. Please note, due to the Blockchain.info API, it will take 1 confirmation for your order to complete. http://common.gd/

The following idea spawned from a talk with morphKET, and I think that writers should be showcased and rewarded. Feel free to post your short stories, simply pasted, or hosted elsewhere (provided that the host isn't obnoxious to access) and you will be added to the compendium, along with your preferred Bitcoin address so people are able to easily tip you. I look forward to hearing from all you authors out there.

I'm selling BitcoinBundle.org. I had it for a project that never came about, but even so, it's gotten up to PR1, giving you a nice head start on your website. It's been established for nearly a whole year, and I really don't need to renew it to just have it sit.
Starting Bid: BTC0.5 Buy it now: BTC1.5 End Date/Time: 25/09/2013 08:00:00 UTC Timer removed. End time: 2013-09-25+08:00:00UTC Payment Methods Accepted: Bitcoin, PayPal if extremely trusted member of the community. (At my own discretion)
If no bids are placed in the time period allotted, the auction will be extended incrementally.

Well, I just got the urge to write. Don't know why, but a brief late night foray turned into a full on short story, and this would be the result. http://sharetext.org/HqiyFeedback is welcomed, and criticism duly noted.

Come join in the festivities, I finally am an adult. (Legally, not necessarily mentally. That's to be decided) So here's what goes here. Something to make me smile, For the record, I'm not asking for birthday gifts. They are appreciated though, but will simply be forwarded on to a charity. So go ahead, bust out those cat photos, make a pun involving CISPA and a Kodiak Bear, perform an elevator-centric pelvic thrust. Help me celebrate!

Hey guys, to keep track of bounties on this board, I made an IFTTT recipe and linked it to a wordpress blog. If you're interested in checking it out, here's the link. https://bitcoinbountyhunter.wordpress.com/Let me know what you guys think! (I will try to limit it to only new topics in the future to avoid reply overload, but I'll have to do more research into how exactly to do that)

I don't know about you, but I've wondered what would happen to the next person's post if it was quoted and it ended with a RTR Override.

So. Anyways, I just felt like griping, cause I just whacked said finger on the table, and it's pissing me off, so I'm having to type "I", "K", "," and the like with my fourth finger and it's bugging me >.< So anyways, here's my griping, and the aforementioned disturbing picture. DAMN THAT HURTS >.<

Hey guys, I won this license on GiveawayOfTheDay a while back for one of my suggestions. I just have it, but don't actually have any bluray disks, ergo I have no use for it. You can visit the product site here. It's used to remove copy protection or other encryption schemes from BluRay disks. I'd like to get 1.5 BTC for it, but I'll consider any reasonable offer.
