22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any speculators buying ASICs for altcoins? on: December 06, 2012, 10:41:06 AM
I was just wondering if anyone was considering buying say a Jal $150 for 3.5Ghash to throw at any of the alt coins?

I know it won't work for LTC as diff algos etc, but my understanding is that it will work for PPC and TRC and NMC etc.... for $150 that not much really to have a play on speculation that these coins may do very well.... I'm half tempted to go for it, but was wondering if anyone else thinking the same, or has thought the same and decided against it? and any reasons?

look forward to your replies Smiley have a great day all Cheesy
23  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / I'm interested in buying your old mining rig on: November 28, 2012, 08:39:05 PM
Hello,

I am currently in a rather fortunate situation where I have free electricity (slightly fortunate at the moment, but also invested in solar and soon wind for full electricity free cover) so the block halving and ASICs not an issue for me either, so I am very interested if anyone has a mining rig that they are looking to sell without dismantling it and trying to selling off in parts....

I am interested in what people have, and I am willing to pay a fair and reasonable price with the current mining and gaming GFX card situation.  Will need ideally to see pics and the seller be trustworthy, but PM me your setup and offers.  I am in no rush either for this as will let me gain more funds Smiley but i am interested in buying soon as it is rather cold here and my current setup just doesn't cut through the cold atm Sad so the bigger the rig the better for me atm Smiley

please list:
1) your setup (cards, psu etc)
2) your Hashrate
3) your current BTC or coins per day average (before block halving)
4) the age of your hardware (and if was mining 24/7)

Many thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your offers

UPDATE: 2nd March 2015 - SSL certificate on the domain

SSL certificate obtained for peercointalk.org site now served up through https Smiley https://www.peercointalk.org/

UPDATE: 24th February 2015 - New Theme and Forum redesign at Peercointalk.org and Primecointalk.org!!

Hey all I am proud to announce that the official Peercoin Forum here has its own new Peercoin Theme that you should be viewing as it has been set as the forum default.

A lot of hard work has gone into this (shout out to Sentinelrv for all his help in particular) and we hope you like what you see Smiley We have spent time bringing the theme from peercoin.net with the header nav and drop down links and the matching logo style.  The colours have been selected and matched as well so all the greens, greys and black/greys match on the hex codes.

Obviously we are open to suggestions for improvements, things you like / dislike etc and what would be really useful is if you can post in here or this thread http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=3966 with screenshots of any bugs or unusual behaviour you see or experience on the forum.

Two known bugs for now:
The triangle drop down in the header should turn green when hovered over
The submenus in the forum have a slight excess boarder of green that is highlighted by the hover over being different.

I also plan to bring a "Late Night Peercoin" Theme in as well that will be based off this new theme but with much darker colours throughout so it is easy on the eyes when viewing late at night.

Now to bring all the peercointalk services in line... (see you all in a few weeks!)

Any donations are greatly appreciated for this work can be made through the peer4commit project here

or directly to me via the addresses in my signature.

Many thanks and enjoy Smiley

UPDATE: 14th July 2013 - PeerCointalk.org welcomes Primecointalk.org!!

Peercointalk.org and Primecointalk.org

For some time now I have been running PPcointalk.org, the home for all PPC related issues to be discussed. We have had many problems over the 9 months or so that I have been running the site, but I am pleased to say that all of these issues have been resolved and we now have a great community of over 2000 genuine users all interested and contributing to PPC.

SunnyKing the developer of PPC is an active member on the forum which was a massive boost to the forum, and the forum has also brought together supporters of PPC to run a fund-raising campaign for professional logo design.  Special mention to Sentinelrv for organizing us all and the logo competition.  Final Logo has been chosen and more can be read here http://www.ppcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345

With the release of Primecoin (also developed by SunnyKing) I was keen to see if the forum wanted to have sections for this coin added.  There was an overwhelming majority of people who wanted to welcome the XPM Primecoin users to the forum, and today it was even stated by SunnyKing himself "Nice! Yes I would love to see more xpm supporters hang out here."

So on that note I bought up Primecointalk.org / .com and have pointed it at the forum. All XPM Primecoin users are most welcome to come and join the forum and see what is going on in the community that recognises developers of coins that actually add something more to the original bitcoin code Smiley

UPDATE: 11th May 2013 - Images, avatars and smilies now work. Activation by email fully working now to

I have resolved all the issues raised by the forum members on Peercointalk.org, the main one being that new users were not receiving activation emails from the site.  I have fixed and tested this, and am now about to resend out all the activation email requests again so if you signed up please look out for one and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello all,

I have recently added a few spam filter features to http://ppcointalk.org as it was getting spammed too much for me to keep up with manual deleting of posts about Pay-Day-Loans and other such spam.  Seem to have stopped most now, but just wanted to ask in here if anyone has any problems logging in or features on the site then please let me know your issues / suggestions etc and i'll see what I can do Smiley

I recently updated the list of PPC sites http://ppcointalk.org/index.php?q=node/7 again if I have missed any or if sites are down, or back up then let me know... I missed that https://vircurex.com had added PPC to their exchange!!

Many thanks

25  Economy / Gambling / Dragon's Tale activity... Accepting credit cards?? maybe beta release?? on: September 13, 2012, 08:17:18 PM
Been trying to log on Dragons Tale http://www.dragons.tl/ all night, and "the servers are only open for developers..."

I think Di/Teppy was close to having credit card payments sorted on the game!! Cheesy so perhaps its the final finishing touches being put on the code to accept credit card payments!!  But i'm only speculating here....

erm and as this is a post in gambling.... i'll make a 10LTC bet (really wanna bet 1BTC but don't have 1btc atm Sad....) that the reason why DT is down is because the credit card payment is being coded... any takers??  Grin
