I believe only coinbase currently requires you to report what you sold. Are there marketplaces where people can exchange bitcoin for USD and not report?

How do I figure out my hashrate? It's only measured in SOL's. I'm trying to calculate using a profitability calculator and I don't know how many megahashes/hashes I'm pumping.

I have a friend who doesn't have all the money in the world. He's looking to spend around $100 for a video card for ethereum mining. What's the best value video card for ethereum mining? I looked at a mining comparison chart and still can't make up my mind. AMD r7 370 4gb?

I looked for a hardware comparison chart, but couldn't find the 980 TI. This is what I'm getting with my MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming OC. Is this normal?

I remember with Bitcoin you could set the intensity of the miner, I really liked that feature. Currently I'm using QTMiner and EthMiner to mine. I can't find an intensity flag anywhere, or any miner that supports it. I'd like to be able to use my computer while I mine. Is this possible? And if so, how do I do it?

I want to use the opencl files from 14.6 rc2 in the amd driver folder with my 14.4 drivers I have installed. I can't find the opencl files. I'm suppose to drop the 14.6 rc2 opencl files in the sgminer folder, can't find them. Can you please give me a list of files I have to look for in the drivers folder? Please help!

Recently there was somebody who posted pics of Cointerra's office with pics of the pcb's and everything. Can somebody give me a reason not to buy a TerraMiner™ IV?! It seems the best bang for your buck!! Thanks! Looking to make some profit in bitcoin.

So this really got me upset with the eclypse pool. I've been using dgm for 1 or 2 weeks. I'm mining at 30gh/s on the pool according to the charts.
I'm making like 0.10 a day. According to a hashing calculator I should be making 0.1736 a day. Now I know DGM takes long to catch up but how much long should I have to wait I'm sorry, I'm really frustrated and this stuff is tough.

I'm using bfgminer on my little single and the temps that are shown shows room for progress "(30c/60c)". I'm running windows 7 with a little single. This is what I got in the config file. It's basically vanilla or literally vanilla. I took out the pools and username and pass for security. What temps can the little single run at? Where do I modify and how high. { "pools" : [ { "url" : "http://url1:8332", "user" : "user1", "pass" : "pass1" }, { "url" : "http://url2:8344", "pool-proxy" : "socks5://127.0.0.1:1080", "user" : "user2", "pass" : "pass2" }, { "url" : "http://url3:8332", "user" : "user3", "pass" : "pass3" } ],

I'm using my machine to still mine bitcoins but I see it drop a few hundred megahashes. Is there a way to set priority for the video card being used? Here's my bat script. I put this bat script together after watching a youtube video. So I'm not very good. I'm a big n00b when it comes to cgminer.
start /D "C:\cgmine" cgminer.exe -o deepbit.net:8332 -u username -p password -d 0 -o mint.bitminter.com:8332 -u username -p password -d 0 --temp-target 85 --auto-fan --temp-overheat 90 --gpu-engine 870 --gpu-memclock 300
I'm using a 6950 and a 7950. Thanks in advance!!

I'd like to know how much I got bumped up due to their estimations. I heard that there was a bump in gigahashes due to their original "math" being wrong.
|
|
|
I hear all this about a gold rush until they half in the estimated time of december. Now listen. I got an asic on pre-order that's going to do 40 gh/s. Even after the halfing I still see me going from 38 dollars a day to 19.5 dollars a day profitable. I mean wtf. So what. Profits are cut in half. It's still profit. What am I missing?!

Q: Which ATI SDK is the best for cgminer? A: At the moment, versions 2.4 and 2.5 work the best. If you are forced to use the 2.6 SDK, the phatk kernel will perform poorly, while the diablo or my custom modified poclbm kernel are optimised for it. I'm running sdk 2.7 and I want a better hash rate with cgminer. Don't know if this stands true still. But if it does google yielded zero results for a download. Is this still true? Can somebody send me 2.4/2.5??

I ran cgminer. It was working fine for the longest time and then my screen freezes, the screen goes blank and the fans get blown to 100% fan speed. Now I reset everything to default and tried guiminer. You'd think it was an overclocking problem but it aint, I reset to default. Boot up guiminer. Same thing. 4X vISIONtek 7970's I have the latest radeon driver crossfire is disabled I reformated my computer and same result Have the latest sdk 2.7 installed Windows 7 ultimate x64 Any more information you need let me know. This is crazy depressing

Here's my thoughts. Everybody thinks it's going to take months and months and months for butterfly labs to actually ship the asic based machines. I have until friday to contact all of the companies I bought my computer parts for to return. I am still within the timeframe.
Now, tell me if I'm making the right move. Return all my computer parts and invest them into jalapeno machines from butterfly labs. This is my first crossfire configuration. I like video games but I'm not as hardcore as I use to be. As a matter of fact, I get bored quick. I'm thinkin about returning everything and investing the 1.7k I spent on this computer into butterfly lab's asic machines.
Now. Here's the main question. Can you think of any reason why I should not?

Now that coincard.ndrix.com and btbtcbuy.info aren't selling amazon and btcjoe.com are complete ripoffs. I can't find any other vendors that sell amazon. Anybody?

I want to have a few spares on me. A friend on the forum told me to post it in the forums. That somebody would know where to find fan replacements for my 7970's. It's a visiontek 3gb version. I don't know if that makes a difference. Would really appreciate somebody pointing me to the right place. Maybe somebody on the forum sells fans? Idk...

Are they going to make my brand new 1.7 grand computer useless? Am I going to loose money? Should I just send back this computer and get an ASICS? I'm sorry, I'm a n00b. I don't understand bitcoin very well! Somebody said they were going to make gpu computation obsolete or worse earnings and it scared me. I'm freaking out ever since I seen this. Is it true? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99643.msg1089915I'm still within the timeframe to send everything back. Seems like a good move and buy three of these suckers. I would keep it for gaming but crossfire freakin sucks. Thanks!!

Here's what I put in my batch file. start /D "C:\cgmine" cgminer.exe -o deepbit.net:8332 -u username@email.com -p password -I 10 -d 0 -d 1 -d 2 -d 3 --temp-target 80 --auto-fan --gpu-memclock 300 I searched all over and couldn't find out how to tell cgminer to not use 99% of my cpu. I want to use my computer at the same time and I really don't want my cpu under full load. Another thing too. I just switched from guiminer and I kinda liked the -f60 flag. Is there something like that for cgminer as well?? If somebody who knows cgminer well can re-write my batch command to do this I would very much appreciate it!! I'm a noob!!
