Do you look at fib retracements on the linear or log scale? Why?

The Alts have made tremendous gains vs Fiat. When BTC / Fiat is at its peak, don't the Alt / Fiat have to collapse? People will be selling Alts to buy BTC. Right?

How do you interpret this?

The prices on different exchanges are at times different, sometimes by 5% or even more. A couple of days ago, Polo was a lot lower than Bitfinex.

How do you interpret these deviations?

The futures volume is 1,600 per day. By comparison, Bitfinex is 50,000+ per day. Plus add in all the other exchanges.

Futures is a huge opportunity for traders to come in who don't want to deal with the complexities and the risk of handling actual coins. Or for institutional traders, who can't deal with it.

You would think the futures volume would be a lot higher. But it's not.

Are futures good or bad for the price?

I thought it was bad. People who want to speculate on price going up now have the option of buying futures, which does not put upward pressure on the price.

So what's happening?

Of all the major alts, only Stellar is growing relative to BTC. What's going on? Why are people buying it at this time, with the price of BTC where it is?

Once BTC crashes, does Stellar / BTC go up or down?

Many alts seem to be moving together, bottoming out. The strongest ones I see are ETH DASH REP. Other good ones seem to be ETC XMR MAID STEEM FCT XLM LSK.

I've just noticed this, but I have no experience with Elliott wave. Is this a reasonable count? According to this count, we were done with wave II in January 2015, and are now in wave 1 of wave III.

What are its implications? What does this imply for the top of the current impulse wave? Any other info on this or other long term Elliott wave counts?

The previous all time high of 1210 was made on Nov 30, 2013.

Just trying to understand the DAO, not knocking it.

It's just a company that will invest in other things, like startups, right? It's similar to giving your money to Kickstarter or a venture capital fund? You get all the risks of a VC fund PLUS the currency risk of ETH? Are there extra benefits that you would not normally get from a regular investment in a startup? Why invest in the DAO?
