Can we get something like the Bitcointip feature from Reddit onto this forum? It is incredibly handy and very easy to use. Not to mention a good way to allow users to send tips to posters with good information or helpful ideas.

Just something to think about!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [I0C] D-Day is approaching: Wat do? on: September 29, 2012, 10:20:52 PM
So Vircurex support and the new protocol changes are being implemented as of 1 Oct 12, so what is there to do? I can't find a windows client that will work after the changes.

Any word on exchange support for i0coins? Is this the death knell for i0coin?
6  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] ASUS 6870 and Sapphire 7770 & Broken XFX 5830 on: September 22, 2012, 08:51:12 PM
These cards have had about 1-2 months of mining on them, no issues whatsoever. Since I have limited feedback on here, I offer my ebay username: puregelan. Feel free to message me on there to confirm my identity.

Here's some stats on the cards as I had them running:

6870 (C1010/M525) - 310 Mhash/s (BFGMiner w/ diablo)
7770 (C1150/M625 & undervolted to 1.137v) - 215 Mhash/s (BFGMiner w/ diakcgn)

7770 - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102968 - $100 Shipped in Canada (Contact me for elsewhere, we'll work something out)

6870 - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121418 - $160 Shipped in Canada (Contact me for elsewhere, we'll work something out)

$240 for both shipped as above.

XFX 5830, Bought off ebay, arrived DOA, would have cost more to ship it back than was worth. Fan spins up, no video output. If you boot to windows on another GPU, windows will recognize the card as 5800 series, but when you reboot after drivers are installed, windows 7 hangs on boot. Best Offer.

Prices are negotiable in USD or BTC equiv using exchange of your choice's 24h average

E-mail me at purelithium at gmail

Edit: Adjusted prices and added info & one more card
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / CGMiner - Can't underclock memory or voltage, keep settings on: August 17, 2012, 11:32:12 PM
I'm using CGMiner 2.6.5 with my 6870 and 7770 and 6550D. When I use phoenix2, I normally rely on Afterburner to boot with the system to change voltage and clocks. It works great. Now I'm trying to get CGminer set up, I can set the engine clocks fine, but no memory or voltage changes will take effect. Also when I try to set the fan autotune, and then save the config file, when I restart, the fans are just going full blast again, nowhere near the target temps.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It's on ebay, but if you're from here and want to buy it, I'll accept payment by Bitcoin using the MtGox 24h average. Feel free to ask any questions.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / How does the blockchain stay in sync? on: July 13, 2012, 11:39:53 PM
I'm trying to figure out how all the different pools and miners stay in sync, how come none of them mine the same blocks?
