I read a book, the other day and learned about bitcoin clustering in it. So, bitcoin clustering can show a certain pattern of transfers between bitcoin wallets. Who?  How much? and when he transferred bitcoins. Look at the picture

Anyone can make such a deep analysis and identify who owns this wallet. So the picture shows the relationship between exchanges and major players in the market that have the most bitcoins and make the most transactions.

It's a crude way of anonymity: the "obfuscation" method. To do this, a lot of transactions are made, the purpose of which is to untie a person from a specific address. However, in bitcoin it is very expensive, if at all possible, due to the limited size of 1 MB data.

Gets that each exchange, let it be Coinbase or other exchange know which user has what bitcoin address and how many transactions he makes.
Conclusion. Anonymity in bitcoin is a very rhetorical question. Will there ever be complete bitcoin anonymity? Perhaps, when bitcoin will be an independent currency and there will be no transit transfers. (Bitcoin-Fiat).

Jeden Monat soll ein Treffen stattfinden. Im Allgemeinen möchte ich mich an "Bitcoin Startups Berlin" orientieren, die in kurzer Zeit eine tolle Gruppe geschaffen haben. Ich hoffe auf positive Resonanz.

Hi all, recently I have seen an analysis that shows how much percent of the total cryptocurrency marketcap is due to altcoins, and how much is due to Bitcoin.
Do you know where i can get this analysis?

It was a very interesting chart as it showed how crypto-currencies had spiked in February (when Mastercoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Next, Vertcoin, Auroracoin and many others were at record highs) and gone down since.

I recently came across this website: http://bitcoinpete.com  Some of the titles sound very interesting.
Kind of investigative and critical journalism: Role of circle, coindesk, Bitangels, ... in the current ecosystem.

However, when reading the content it seemed to me like the author is very emotional / arrogant / opinionated / negative.
I also had trouble to understand a lot of what he was writing as he uses a lot of US colloquial language I am not familiar with.

So I am asking:
Is it worth the read? Or is he/she somebody who just likes to offend people making a fuzz about small inaccuracies in the statements of others?

Bonus question: What are the best bloggers in your opinion?
I like Tim Swanson, Two-bit idiot, and Daniel Kawisz from Mises Circle, who is more controversial and outspoken (but not nearly as opinionated as Btcoinpete.)

Hello all, I am trying to summarize the different options of sending bitcoin with the help of SMS and Email. Can anybody help me to get an overview? Using SMS is often mentioned as a way to get Bitcoin going in the remittances market. However, as far as I understand all the solutions so far are based on centralized solutions and online wallets. Basically two people need to have an account at the same online wallet like coinbase, blockchain.info, ... and then they can easily move the money from one of the accounts to the other.
Is this right? In any case, what are the different technologies, and companies who offer these services?

Ich habe mir ein OkPay Konto aufgemacht und mit Litecoin geladen. Jetzt habe ich EUR, oder USD auf OkPay.
Von Mt.Gox aus kann ich eine Deposit-Transaktion von OkPay nach Mt.Gox erzeugen. Gemacht. Auf OkPay wird mir angezeigt, dass die USD abgegangen sind.

Frage 1: Auch nach 4 Stunden ist das OKPay Geld nicht auf Mt.Gox. Wisst ihr warum? Wie lange dauert das Processing?
Frage 2: Wie lange dauert als Alternative ein SEPA Transfer ZU Mt.Gox?
Frage 3: Kann man auch Mt.Gox USD OTC kaufen?

Klar, ich weiss, das man z.B. auf Bitcoinbuilder Gox-Coins kaufen kann. Der Kurs ist aber wesentlich schlechter als auf Mt.Gox. Auch wenn es so angezeigt wird, als wäre er identisch.(Bubble) Ich sehe gerade auf Mt.Gox 268, auf Bitstamp 629, und ein Verhältnis auf Bitbuilder von 0.7. = 629*0,7= 440.

I am looking for security options to professionally manage BTC investor funds (a bit like the guys from Exante).
It would be extremely helpful to have Gui-based Multi-Sig functionality. How much effort would it be to create a plug-in for Electrum that could also be used by a non power-user? Can anybody point me to developers who are currently working on this or who are willing to work as contractors?
Or is there already and open-source solution I just do not know about?

I was redoing the multisig-transaction example of Gavin Andresen.

I did not include any transaction costs when I entered the commands which define the "funding"-transaction, i.e. the transaction that "loads" the multi-signature address. Yet sendrawtransaction went through. I created, signed and sent the transaction hours ago (there was a complete: true)
Now my money is somehow in the limbo. My QTwallet tells me that the BTC have left, but since the transaction is unconfirmed the BTC have not entered the multisig-address yet. Do you think that the money will still arrive? Or is it lost?
It is "just" BTC 0.05. No drama, but still pretty annoying.

- Man kann es nur per CPU minen
- Es geht um irgendwelche Colored Coins ähnlichen Services
- es gab als Ableger wohl Memorycoins, was ein Reinfall war

Mined jemand von euch Protoshares?
Installieren des Clients ist einfach. Allerdings werden die ganzen Miningprogramme als Malware identifiziert.
z.B PTSMiner, jhprotominer. Dann gibt es noch den coyoteminer aber der meldet mir, dass der Miningpool sich nicht mit mir verbinden möchte.

Hallo Leute, ich bin schon lange dabei, fange aber erst jetzt an, mich wirklich in BitcoinQT einzuarbeiten.
Wie kann ich die Number of Connections erhöhen? Ich habe nur 8.
Es soll laut den Angaben anderer Leute an einer Firewall/NAT liegen. Ich benutze Windows 81., Avast, möglicherweise die Windows Firewall und bin bei der Telekom. Was muss ich konkret tun? (also konkret wo klicken?)

P.S. Es geht mir darum, dass ich die Blockchain schneller herunterladen möchte. Zum Beispiel bei Dogecoin. (wo der Client ja genauso aussieht.)
