1  Economy / Goods / Draw a map for 20btc on: November 20, 2011, 01:54:48 AM
Hi, I run a small browser-based MMO and I'm looking for someone who can make this:

Look similar to this:

The colors and style need to match pretty well, except for the font which I'd like to see improved on.

Deliverables:

* 788x490 map w/o city names (but with the light background for sea city names as seen in the 2nd image).
* The same map with city names (I'll PM you the names) showing your font choice.
* Font name/weight/size/color/etc.

Thanks.
2  Economy / Services / Bit-pay.com Merchant API integration at a reduced rate on: October 13, 2011, 05:22:46 PM
Do you want your website to accept bitcoins?  I will make this happen by connecting your payment processing system to bit-pay.com.

Bit-pay is a payment processing solution for merchants both online and IRL.  They recently added plug-ins that allow fast integration for online merchants using Opencart, Zen Cart or Magento.  I can install those plugins for you at a very low cost.  The only thing you need is a bit-pay.com merchant account (free).

Here are my rates, quoted in USD and payable in bitcoins:

  • Opencart plugin install: $90
  • Zen cart plugin install: $90
  • Magento plugin install: $90
  • Other shopping cart integration (PHP/django): $650

I have installed and tested each of these plugins for other sites and can promise a fast turnaround.  This is a great opportunity for merchants using the above-mentioned carts.  For merchants using other cart software, I can build a custom integration to bit-pay or provide hourly consulting.

PM me with your email and tell me what you need.   Smiley
3  Economy / Marketplace / Minethings.com just went all-in on bitcoins on: August 29, 2011, 01:20:24 PM
Like many of you, I'm a big fan of bitcoins and want to see it succeed.  With this in mind, my browser-based game with ~1500 players has ditched Paypal as of today and now exclusively accepts bitcoins.  This should bring a new source of interest and demand, small though it may be.

I'm interested in purchasing advertising for my browser-based MMO, Minethings.com.

I'd like to hear from those who can give me 0.8btc per day or more worth of views.  Text ads are preferred but I'd like to hear about graphical placements as well.

I can start with a 5btc trial run and then purchase more based on the results.

Please reply here with your prices and volume and I'll get in touch.  Thanks!

8  Economy / Marketplace / Wanted: Dedicated server w/ monthly rental on: April 04, 2011, 10:18:43 PM
Hello,
I'm currently running my website www.minethings.com on two dedicated servers and rented for USD.  I'd like to pay BTC instead.

What I need:
  • Hosted in the US
  • Intel Core2 / I3 / equivalent
  • 4gb RAM
  • 2x300GB RAID1 HDDs
  • cPanel/WHM
  • Apache/MySQL/PHP
  • Python 2.6/2.7
  • SSH
  • Java

Those are the basics.  I have about 10 additional PHP/Python libraries that I'd like installed as well and need to be able to contact the owner 24/7 in case of emergency.  I don't need a support package but can pay for setup&installation.

Thanks  Smiley
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin stole my weekend! on: March 15, 2011, 08:42:16 PM
A friend of mine introduced me to bitcoins a couple weeks ago and while skeptical at first, I was interested enough to look into it further.  I'm a huge fan of alternative currencies, especially considering the gross mismanagement of the USD and other fiat currencies.

Two weeks.  That's all it took for me to go from a skeptic to sold.  "Sold" as in, spent-the-weekend-integrating-bitcoins-into-my-website sold (I used mybitcoin.com's nifty little shopping cart interface tool and tested it with my 0.05 faucet BTC).

My site is a browser-based MMO that draws many parallels to the bitcoin concept.  The big one is that all the in-game money is mined, requiring an expenditure of effort in the form of opportunity cost.  This gives the money a real value in the game compared to most MMOs where gold mostly trickles in automatically.

Already my users are very interested in this "new mine" I've introduced that allows non-USD-paying players a chance to mine for valuable in-game capital using their CPU.  I'm very glad to have found bitcoin.org and am grateful for the opportunity to help promote it.  Thanks for reading.
