No idea what these go for.  I do not have pictures at the moment.  I can tell you that this coin was recieved directly from Mike Caldwell and since then it has spent the rest of it's life in the fire proof safe.  No handling whatsoever.  I have only ever seen the back side with the address there is a die cut piece of paper that covers the front side I assume to protect the gold plated B which is how it was recieved.  It comes in a capsule with a blue felt display box and the cardboard box covering the felt box.   I also have a copper/brass 2012 1 BTC coin that I recieved as well.  Again these have never been handled, I did have to buy capsules for these as they did not come with any protection from Mike.  I know it is common for these to be graded and I'm sure these would be excellent, but I will not allow them out of my sight.  If ANACS grades in person I would agree to have them graded under my supervision.

I have an old paper wallet (pre-fork) I would like to transfer to an offline computer running Electrum. I believe this is known as cold storage. I would like someone to walk me through this step by step. I have downloaded Electrum to my now offline machine and am ready to do the next step, but I don't know what the next step is. Bitcoin as a whole can not, and will not progress if Mt. Gox is the best exchange the Bitcoin community can offer!  For the success of Bitcoin I implore you to seek alternatives!  Bitcoin is not synonymous with Mt. Gox and it is time to shed ourselves from them.  

I like to watch my offline paper wallets on blockchain.info by importing as watch only.  I can't seem to do this with my Casascius coins what's the problem?

I think ones with QR codes have the most potential. Whether the size and clarity of the stamp is good enough to reproduce it is unknown, but who cares for a dollar.

As the title states I'm looking for any 2011 series 1 BTC from Casascius.

I know my savings wallet is secure in that it was created on a live OS offline, and now any trace only remains on a piece of paper in my safe. 

On the flip side of a paper wallets security is that I don't like my Bitcoin wealth depending solely on a flimsy piece of everyday paper.

I've been brainstorming different ideas and have mostly decided upon an engraving in metal, or possibly a small stencil I can paint/enamel in various obscure places.

What are your thoughts on engraving a private key into a more hardy medium?  Any examples?
