21  Economy / Services / Business Proposal (To be pronounced with a Russian accent.) Memes + Graphics on: October 14, 2012, 05:36:15 PM
The situation:

I don't know about you guys, but I like to check out memebase quite a bit myself.  I have a couple long lists of "meme ideas" that just need to be created by someone with better graphics skills than myself.  I have thought about doing them myself but never gotten around to it.

What I am looking for:

Graphics artist/Biz partner (preferably someone who is both) who can help me by making the memes themselves and then hopefully selling them!  I see several ways to actually make some chump change out of memes, (I doubt we will be able to retire with it) but these I want to discuss a little more privately obviously.

What to do:

PM or reply in thread if this sounds interesting to you!
22  Bitcoin / Mining support / Guiminer .5 BTC Bounty for solution! :) on: October 12, 2012, 06:09:25 PM
Hello guys, Looking for a solution to a problem .5btc to the single best answer that helps me fix it.

Running guiminer on windoze I can connect to the bitclockers pool, and slush's pool without problems.  I can solo mine, and I can even connect to a private server to join a pool but for some reason I keep getting kicked off after about 12 hours.  Intermittently I can reconnect but it seems like I have to wait for a few days.

What do you guys think is my problem?  I am mining and getting shares, then suddenly "problems communicating with bitcoin RPC."  I do not believe it is on the end that I am connecting to because of other people are not having problems, just me.  Tongue

**edit** This is what I am mining with:

7970
5970
5870
5830
6770
5770
5770
5770
5770
6670

I don't really want to change how this is all setup right now.  So if you can't figure that out, don't "help" mmmkay?
23  Bitcoin / Mining / Best big mining case? Airflow? Other parts? Open discussion welcomed. on: October 09, 2012, 12:30:54 AM
I keep running into the same problem with my mining builds and that is that I want a clean way to mount additional cards with risers.  How do you all cope?  I'd prefer to use a "real" case for most of my builds but this is not a necessity.  Is there a case that is "double wide" to allow an additional layer of expansion cards?  I have all full tower gaming cases and my current plan was to simply bolt on another mid tower to put extra cards in, then install extra fans and panels sort of like a pushout section in a modern RV.  What is your favorite case on amazon?

Thoughts?  Comments?
24  Economy / Computer hardware / SOLD SOLD SOLD 5970 2gb 7970 3gb on: October 08, 2012, 03:44:28 PM
These are my best two producers:

5970
ax7970*********sold************

Both have the red and black fan and casing assembly you see when you google these cards, looking for bitcoin offers in the thread for now, pictures and screenshots are coming on Thursday.  I am in US, so I can do flat rate boxes cheaply, include shipping in your offer or I can arrange pickup in greater Seattle area free.
25  Economy / Computer hardware / (SOLD) WTS: Gigabit Switches and Gigabit PCI card on: October 04, 2012, 09:49:40 PM
A while back I was thinking I would convert some oldish towers into some "high speed" servers on my home network but I never did do it and have since sold those machines.  I still have:

Trendnet TEG-S80g        8 port gigabit switch   BNIB
Trendnet TEG-PCITXR     1 port pci gigabit adapter card also brand new in box
D Link DGS-1005G           5 Port gigabit switch opened but not used for too long, still with its box

Make a bitcoin offer than includes shipping to USA, I am in washington so if outside of USA check customs cost etc to where you are before offering me anything please, I know sometimes it can be unrealistically expensive.  Feel free to post in this or pm, don't care, don't think I'll use these.

**edit**  WA, local sale a possibility too or even a trade for other pc parts.

27  Other / Beginners & Help / What happens if I send coin to an address that is unclaimed? on: October 03, 2012, 01:17:41 AM
If I send coin to an address that has not yet been claimed, will anyone eventually, randomly choosing that address get lucky with extra money?

Figured this is a good place for this question, didn't see anything about it being asked before.

29  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't understand____Mining ~20 hours .17 bitcoin? on: September 30, 2012, 08:31:56 PM
So I am new here but .17 unconfirmed bitcoins seems a bit low for my 3000 mhash or so.  I was making .5 coin per day @bitclockers and they eat 25% of profits.  Shouldn't I see better return?  Could somebody break down for me the dashboard menu items here, I'm just not getting how it works out unfortunately...

SHOW ME THE MONEY lol
