I work every day... And I have people bitching to me about things knocking at my door and talking to me through it. That's not a conversation asshole that's harrasment. Like bitch let me relax for a sec. I put on loud music because I don't like people listening in to my comings and goings and If I'm taking a shit or a shower.
Why do some people have such a lack of understanding of others? I don't fucking get it. We're all just trying to live our lives over here. I swear to fuck I'm gonna move to a fucking cabin in the woods. Some people need to get a life and get off my case.

I'm going to start learning the easy stuff. 10 hours each week. HTML, CSS, Javascript and React.
I'm not happy with my paycheck at work. My only goal is to use 10 hours a week for about 2 months and then I'll see if I can get paid for my work.
I wouldn't mind talking about that with people on this forum since it's swarming with technically skilled people. I couldn't find a better place to put this thread rather than off-topic.
My objectives are. Learn a few easy things well. HTML, CSS, Javascript/React. And that's it.
Step 1. Learn Step 2. Get paid
I know some very basic C++ but I never got good or competent in programming. So I'll start at a beginner level but with perhaps more non-functional knowledge than most beginners.
All that stuff are skills anyway, some stuffy book knowledge isn't gonna get me far. I know that much. And trying to learn Assembly, LISP, C++, C, Python or any other thing would simply make me lose focus.
My only goal to meet is to spend 10 productive hours a week. I have a day job and hobbies and even those 10 hours a week are going to be a challenge for me.
I'm starting Monday.
Maybe I'll talk about it here with anyone who's interested so we can have fun together. I hope that other people can get motivated to do this as well, so you can steal all the jobs that I wanna take. Just kidding.

120/80 would be normal right?
People in the US are obsessed with salt, and so many people are on medication for high blood pressure. Is it overblown? Will we in 20 years have a completely different perspective on this?
How does blood pressure over time damage the body, and what does it mean to have high blood pressure?
When you're running, what is a normal blood pressure? When you're at rest? And what is that at rest? When you sleep?
How do those number correlate?
Is blood pressure as easy to quantify as a person's weight. How can one person be more fit or less depending on blood pressure?

You hear it in every video of someone explaining Bitcoin. Isn't it more accurate to say that the reward will keep halving so that there will never be more than 21 million bitcoins?
There has to be a better way to put it. But from my understanding there is no direct rule within bitcoin's code/protocols that limits bitcoins to 21 Million other than the mathematical rules that govern the mining reward.
It bothers me to hear this over and over to be honest.

For years and years, I've been talking about how Elon Musk is the most overrated person on the planet. How he hasn't invented anything. How the Tesla company is taking a shit on Nikola Tesla's name. But I did it somewhat halfheartedly because I thought that it's cool that someone is making electric cars. It's quite clear though that Elon's cars are too expensive and they're probably going to be made in an anti-consumer fashion where you won't be able to repair them yourself or buy parts off the shelf but have to fork more money to Elon. Over the years Elon's projects have gotten more and more retarded and I can't believe people still worship him and the media still takes his promises without question. It's all so unbelievable to watch. Take his hyperloop idea. Someone came up with that in 1799: In 1799, George Medhurst of London conceived of and patented an atmospheric railway that could convey people or cargo through pressurized or evacuated tubes. The early atmospheric railways and pneumatic tube transport systems (such as the Dalkey Atmospheric Railway) relied on steam power for propulsion. Elon Musk not only is trying to sell this idea as his but people also worship him as some sort of genius inventor/ superhero, like he is a real life Iron Man and hyperbolic nonsense like that. Not only is it not an original idea, but it's not even a good one. If you wanna get into specifics Thunderf00t has a lot of content on the topic on his YouTube Channel. The idea didn't work in the 1799-1950 era and it doesn't work now. It's not practical unless you have infinite resources and advanced technology. Maybe in the year 2400 it will work right after we invent teleportation and everyone will have 5 sex robots retrofitted into personal assistants. Also his space efforts are really CO2 intensive. You can't argue this guy is good for the environment when SpaceX is proposing to take passengers on ballistic trajectories from one place on earth to the other (see SpaceX BFR). That's another idea that will never work. I could go on and on but someone made a really succinct video on why Elon Musk sucks that I think could get to people so please share that. Video Title: Elon Musk Is Not Your Friend - SOME MORE NEWS Youtube Channel: Some More News Runtime: 43 minutes 42 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pNL7MlUpmII would write more stuff but I'm getting ready for work, also I don't have to time or wish to put more effort into my post. I'm just typing this out, I'll probably have typos left in by the time I post. I might come back to this topic and do it justice but knowing me I probably won't.

Who's up for discussing Sandkings by GRRM? It's arguably his best short story and it is so fucking worth reading. If you don't wanna read it you can even listen to it on YouTube. Come at me bros. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VVGrmQHgkg

OGame was an awesome game. Nothing ever felt quite like it. The stakes were high and there was always intrigue and backstabbing.
The only problem is that there are too many pay2win elements and that once a universe starts you can be very far behind other players.
That's where Xorbit comes in and they are opening 2 new universes, one is in only 3 days. Xorbit doesn't seem to be pay2win at all, just running on passion for the game.
Do you wanna form an alliance with me and kick ass?
There seems to only be very few active players and I never played that game but I know it's gonna be a lot of fun.
Doesn't hurt to try it out.
Edit: I tried the game. It's a buggy mess of a clone, there has to be better.

I was here in 2012 and when I made a mistake (bought ASIC from the wrong company) I thought I'd never accumulate a lot of bitcoin so I messed around instead.
Just because I couldn't mine Hundreds of bitcoin I thought I missed this opportunity to get in and when my miner came (Months late and way past the first halving) I just messed around with it. Mining alts and playing with them even.
Just because you missed 15k Bitcoin it doesn't mean it's over.
I wouldn't recommend throwing money you do not have into it just to buy in. Maybe buy a little because you don't like the idea of inflating fiat and banks being able to freeze your account.
Ideally find a way to sell your services or products for bitcoin (like Andreas Antonopoulos would recommend)
There's only going to ever be a small amount of bitcoin. Even if you only accumulate 0.1 BTC instead of 1, that's still more bitcoin than every US Citizen would get if it were equally distributed. Maybe even just get 1 bitcent and something for the transaction fee. That's still a decent stake in my view.
Make a brainwallet out of that 1.1 bitcent and repeat it enough that it would take you 100 million years to forget and you'll always have a little something saved up.

Does that even mean anything?
If someone can change things it's Bernie. I didn't pay enough attention in civics to understand the significance of this. This means that he can pass budgets through the senate with a simple majority, instead of needing 60 votes.
Now if the democrats start talking about how the republicans are blocking them on issues like healthcare, stimulus, fighting climate change... They're lying.

Vodka is basically just water and ethanol. Just like distilled water, some brands taste really clean and other taste like shit. The difference is only the impurities and nonsense. The chemical off smells et cetera. My taste in distilled water is Dasani if I can get it. They probably just have the higher quality plastic and slightly better filters. With that in mind. What's a good clean tasting Vodka. I don't really drink often so I want to buy a couple of bottles so I'm set for the next couple of years. I used to drink bacardi 151 but it's been discontinued Also where I'm at the sale of 190 proof things is forbidden (State of Florida). So I can't buy anything that's way overproof.

Good projects deserve attention. Go out and advertise the ones you like.
I changed my signature, even though nobody is paying me.
In simple terms shills must shill. Or in one word marketing.
Do you believe shitcoin XYZ has a place in the future? Talk about it, become active in its forums, learn about the developers. Work on it. Adopt it. Fill some bags. Design a T-Shirt, chalk the pavement.
Altcoin season isn't going to start itself.

I believe bitcoin and democratic socialism can be reconciled. And I have some ideas on how to fix this broken system.
If you don't even have the right to live somewhere livable, what right do you really have? We need to redesign a system with some useful human rights.
So, if everyone had the right to a livable piece of land with water, that could not be taxed away from them, then everyone would have a chance at success. People could still buy and sell property past that minimum point like we do today.
So, everyone has a piece of land, ideally they build a decent home, and they can't be taxed out of it. Water is a human right, so they are provided that for free. Healthcare is a human right so the government creates a national healthcare system.
That is what true freedom would look like.
This way everyone, on their own land could use their time to produce whatever they'd like, and they could then trade freely amongst them. Since they wouldn't necessarily have to worry about losing it all, they wouldn't have to anwer to the corporations and work as wage slaves to the rich.
Eminent domain would still be a thing, but the definition of a useful piece of land would be clear, and a person could refuse and pass by equivalent pieces of land given by the government until an arrangement can be made.
Libertarian Capitalism could still operate on top of that base socialist layer.
In fact the greatest years of US economic growth were caused by socialist policies. The rich were taxed 93% and corporations paid their fair share. And slowly this got eroded away until we reached the point we have today.

I'm concerned that if I don't make a backup of my wallet after receiving bitcoin I could lose everything that wasn't backed up.
When you have an HD wallet does that mean you're safe as long as you have your seed saved somewhere? Also how often do you have to extend the seed if at all?
I'm thinking of converting my wallet to an HD one, I'd probably have to pay a decent fee to consolidate my funds but I'm sure it's worth it for the extra peace of mind.

I once bought baklava (a dessert) online using bitcoin.
-0.534 to be exact... That translates to $18k worth of bitcoin today.
It was 2013 but before the price hike.
I also bought a $400 amazon gift card for about .6 bitcoin That would be another $20k (I think I bought a cellphone with that)
So what little BTC I have I've held much tighter to it over the years. I'm working class by the way, I'm constantly in awe that I can have my own car free and clear and a roof over my head and that I can afford health and car insurance and rent.

They use bitcoin and crypto as a blanket to make themselves look better and peddle the same get rich quick schemes. They usually try to get people to pay for newsletters and other nonsense.
I don't usually watch ads due to adblock but I watched some YouTube videos on my phone and there was an infinite amount of such malicious ads. It's fair to say that there's going to be people who buy into the nonsense.
It's easy to recognize one of these but they wouldn't be profitable enough to buy so many ads if they weren't successful. These aren't spam e-mails that cost nothing. They are hour-long YouTube video ads.
I think the quickest way to get to people is to make parodies of these people and ads and memes, but I don't have the inclination or creativity to do so right now.
Teeka Tiwari, he can be painted as the tick he really is. And he kind of looks like a tick.
In one of these ads there was Sarah Palin. She was the governor of Alaska. This is kind of nuts.
Recognizing a scam like this is easy. The most common red flag is the promise of crazy returns, and they do it in steps, where the promises get crazier and crazier. That tactic might work, like they're trying to convince little by little over the course of the ads. Another red flag is their pandering to people's emotions. This money could mean a vacation home, creating priceless memories, blah blah blah. Then there are the obvious fake stories of starting from being poor and knowing what it was like and that's why they want to help people or whatever.
