It seems that I cannot access any part of the nicehash website over cellular/mobile network here in the UK. If my phone ks connected via wifi it works fine.

Just wondered if anyone is having a similar problem? Ive tried google,chrome,safari,firefox but no luck. It says “a server with the specified hostname could not be found, NSURLErrorDomain”.

Any help would be appreciated as while im at work I cant check on my rigs.

Hi guys,

Just bought a couple of 1080ti from a fellow member. The cards are working perfectly but AB doesnt apply the custom fan curve after I close the AB window. It drops the fan speed down to 50% when i have set it to 70%.

I have a custom fan curve setup on my other 1070to rig and it works fine. I have checked all settings and they are identical (obviosuly the OC are different). I iust cant fogure iut why the fan curve settings will stick when AB window is open but when I close it it reverts back to a deafukt setting.

Ab is running in the background and on startup. As I said on the other rig it works fine.

Any help is appreciated. All drivers are up to date and its the latest version of AB.

Just a quick query for anyone that has possibly experienced mining both coins. Currently my hobby rig (6x1070ti,1x1050ti, Ryzen. 1700x) is using 1000w and getting approx 207mh Eth, 1062mh Pasc, 480hs Xmr.

Would my rig use less electricity if it was mining Zec?

What sparked the question is im currently experimenting with an RX580 and switch from eth to zec and noticed a 50w decrease in power consumption. So just wondering if the same applies to nvidia cards?

So Ive just transferred all my gpus, 1x MSI 1050ti (to run the screen) and 6x Evga 1070tis over to my new Ryzen 1700x rig. Only trouble is that only 3 gpus are being detected. 2x1070tis and the 1050ti.

I looked thoroughly through the UEFI and found nothing about PCIe gen speeds or 4g decoding. So couldnt change any of those settings.

System details:-

Ryzen 7 1700x
Asrock SLI Killer X370 mobo
Corsair vengeance 2x 8GB
1500w HP Common Slot PSU using Sidehacks breakout board
1x MSI Aero ITX 1050ti (directly plugged into 16x slot)
6x Evga 1070ti Black Edition (running from ver010c risers)

Any help would be appreciated.

Seeing as the Ryzen 7 series cpus are pretty good at mining im curious to know what coolers you guys are using to keep the thing at a decent temperature?

Ive got parts on order to start my second hobby rig with a 1700X  (this one is all amd, first rig is intel/nvidia) and looking for an am4 compatible top down flow cooler that wouldnt take up much space. I dont want to go AIO due to mounting the rad somewhere on the aluminium frame it will all be mounted on.

So, whos got what coolers and getting what temps?

Just been browsing theough wbay at risers and noticed there are VER009 risers out now with leds at the 1x usb end and at the 16x end.

I currently have ver006 (blue, 6pin, 4x calacitors) and on the 16x board there are a couple of unpopulated diodes (horizontal triangle) and wondered if a couple of smd leds would work if soldered into these empty spaces?

So guys, this question is related to you giys who have a frame with fans infront of the gpus. When i say infront i mean at the end of the card with the hdmi connections etc.

Which way round have you found gives better cooling? Fans blowing cool air towards the cards or trying to pull the warm air away from the cards?

Obviously the blower style cards would benefit from the exhausting orientation but what about dual/triple fan cards?

So ive currently got a 1200w Platinum DPS-1200FB-A running with one of sidehacks breakout boards. But im looking at a 1400w HP Server psu (part number 720620-b21) and was wondering if the breakout board would work with it?

I currently have the blue ver006c risers at the moment with the pcie x1 end coming out the mobo vertically. Im going to be building a proper frame soon and would like it if the pcie x1 usb connection came out horizontally so the cable laid flat along the mobo before going upto the riser card.

Does anyone know where I can get them?

Im in the UK so they would need to be shipped here.

Just noticed that Nanopool pascal section is asking for a Public Key for me to receive PASC payments. Ive never needed this before and mine it straight to an exchange.
