1  Other / Meta / Readdit Karma whores=Bitcointalk merit whores :) on: Today at 01:01:53 PM
A karma whore is a Reddit user, who deliberately uses Reddit to boost his karma score by applying different tricks(re-posting old content for the sake of gaining more karma, etc)
Some members of Bitcointalk have a similar approach towards Merit.
Can we create a list of all "Merit whores" on Bitcointalk?
You can submit your suggestions below.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Have you ever purchased bitcoins using eBay? on: November 25, 2019, 08:08:16 AM
I was browsing eBay and I see many sellers, who are selling bitcoin and altcoins.
I thought that eBay isn't crypto friendly, but the sellers, who are selling 24-hour btc mining contracts.
The fees are ridiculous. To buy 9USD worth of BTC,you have to pay 14USD via paypal.
It's weird that those people actually have sales.
3  Economy / Economics / Your favorite Youtube channels about finance and economics? on: September 26, 2019, 11:42:58 AM
My favorite youtube channels about finance and economics are:
1.Graham Stephan-Real estate,financial advise,saving,making money(nothing about crypto).
2.Economy Explained-It's more about macroeconomics and why some countries are wealthier than others.

Which ones are your favorite Youtube channels about economics and finance?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Do you remember Graft(GRFT)? on: June 01, 2019, 12:22:07 PM
Does anyone here remember the GRAFT project that was active around 2017-2018?
I had around 11280 GRFT coins, but I sold them for 200 USD on March 2018.
Now,it looks like Graft is just a dead altcoin. Can we do something to bring it back to life?
I don't mean just pump&dump.Graft looked like a promising project, but it went down...
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Compilation:The most stupid questions about Satoshi... on: May 28, 2019, 12:22:29 PM
I am sick and tired of the amount of stupid questions regarding Satoshi Nakamoto that gets posted on the forum everyday. This nonsense just keeps going on and on:
"What would Satoshi think about this?,What would Satoshi think about that?"Is Satoshi a gay?"Is Satoshi a woman?""Is Satoshi  the NSA?"...
STFU people! We can't answer these questions because we are NOT the one and only Satoshi Nakamoto and we can't look inside his mind.

Can you add your mindless question to the list? Grin
6  Other / Off-topic / My facebook account got locked on: May 28, 2019, 12:01:20 PM
Today,I've got an email from Facebook, saying that someone was trying to login into my account and therefore my Facebook account will remain locked until I verify my identity.
I tried to verify my identity via text message and via the option to login from another device, but nothing happens.I guess my Facebook is lost...
Anyone having the same issue?
7  Other / Off-topic / What's the best purpose for a VPS? on: May 21, 2019, 05:10:58 PM
I've signed up for the AWS free tier and I have one VPS.
I wonder what should be the best purpose for that VPS.
Install GSA search engine ranker and build backlinks to my website or video 24/7?
Run some bot?
Livestream some video on Youtube/Facebook using Openbroadcaster  software?
Run Linkedhelper on Linkedin?
Run Hitleap/YTmonster and sell web traffic/views/likes?
8  Economy / Economics / Is the US dollar backed by oil? What do you think? on: March 20, 2019, 12:43:26 PM
I kinda like this guy and his Youtube content, but he is anti-bitcoin and he has some solid arguments.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YChQ3KQ_1f4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNr1LWgIyiE

The first video is about the bitcoin bubble and the second video is explaining the petrodollar and the US/Saudi Arabia relationships. The petrodollar conspiracy theory sounds pretty good to me.

What do you think?
9  Economy / Speculation / What do you think about this plan? on: December 06, 2018, 07:48:21 AM
Imagine having one bitcoin.
You sell that bitcoin at the current price(around 3800 USD).
Bitcoin crashes again somewhere around Christmass and the price goes down to 1K USD.
You buy 3.8 bitcoins with the dollars you got from the previous sale and you HODL.
In 2019-2020 bitcoin recovers to 10K USD (or maybe reaches 20K ATH).
You have made atleast 38K USD. Grin
I know it's not guaranteed to happen, but hey, this is the Speculation forum,so why not speculate about this.
I think that this is every crypto whale's trading plan for the next 2 years.
10  Economy / Speculation / Satis Group-Bitcoin might reach 96K by 2023 on: September 08, 2018, 05:55:26 AM
According to Satis Group(google it,if you don't know anything about them) Bitcoin price will reach 96K USD by the end of 2023 and 144K USD by the end of the next decade(around 2030).The second most valuable coin will be Monero with a 18K USD price.Coins like ethereum and litecoin are doomed to fail in the long run, according to the market analysts.
Well,I don't trust such predictions, but this is the speculation sub-forum and we always discuss those type of "market analysis" here.Any thoughts about this?
11  Economy / Economics / Some facts about the global debt... on: June 25, 2018, 06:37:29 AM
Do you know that the global debt is around 230 trillion USD?
This is around 325% of the global GDP.
Countries like Japan have estimated debt of around 250% of their GDP.
China`s corporate debt is around 150% of China`s GDP.More than 50% of that debt is created by the govenment owned corporations.

Every idiot, who calls bitcoin a bubble should look at these stats.
The global debt bubble is 10000 times bigger than the crypto or bitcoin bubble.
The cryptocurrency prices are pumped by this bubble. This bubble will create the new Great Depression.
12  Economy / Speculation / Crypto market=online casino on: June 01, 2018, 05:47:09 AM
Do you think the global cryptocurrency market is just like one giant worldwide online casino?
I have that feeling, when I trade on some crypto exchange platform. It`s like you are just "betting" on altcoin, token or BTC and hopping for the price to skyrocket. There`s no real investing involved, your money won`t create new jobs and lower the unemployment rate. The money goes from one trader to another. It`s a zero sum game. This is not a "win-win" situation. The sad thing is that Wall Street is the same type of "casino".
This makes the think that cryptocurrencies won`t change the world.
Nothing can change the "casino capitalism".
13  Economy / Economics / What happnes to BTC,if the oil price goes up? on: May 24, 2018, 12:06:51 PM
The oil price is going up and many people expect it will go above 100 USD per barrel,or even 120 USD per barrel. How this will impact the world economy and the cryptocurrency prices?
I have many own theory about this and I will share it later, but know I'm waiting for other opinions.
Is this good or is it bad for bitcoin?
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Delete... on: February 20, 2018, 01:01:46 PM
All the members participating in the GRAFT signature campaign are not paid for the last 3 weeks of the campaign. We are still waiting for the user graft-project to pay,but there`s no reply from him.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2443267.0

I will delete this thread,if all the members of the GRAFT signature campaign receive their remaining btc and token payments.

Update: The payments have been sent so i will lock this thread.
15  Economy / Economics / Anyone here expecting the US dollar to increase it`s value this year? on: January 04, 2018, 07:22:00 AM
I have some savings in US dollars and want to convert them in my national currency, but i`m waiting for the US dollar to become more expensive. Will this happend this year? What will be the factors behind such price increase? If the USD increase it`s value ,how it will influence bitcoin and altcoins prices?
I have my own theory about this, but i want to hear other people`s opinions.
16  Economy / Economics / 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: November 09, 2017, 12:36:26 PM
I was talking with a friend of mine about cryptocurrencies and he said:
"Cryptocurrencies are anonymous?Nothing on the internet is anonymous.Having a bunch of dollars or euro in the pocket is the most anonymous way to store money. Grin"
Damn, now i think that he is right and fiat money are still way more convenient ,despite all the inflation, banks monopoly and control. From my personal experiense 99% of the people refuse to believe in bitcoin and refuse to adopt it in their daily life.Any opinions?
17  Economy / Economics / Next "dot-com bubble"? on: August 11, 2017, 11:52:00 AM
Sorry, if this question is asked here before, but i feel that the cryptocurrency "industry" is pretty much like
internet companies back in 1997-2001.Too much optimism and no regulations.
2017 has been an awesome year for all the cryptocurrencies and all the ICOs and more and more people are buying tokens. What do we need for the next big crash?(This question sounds stupid,i know. Grin)
Some big exchange platform hacked,or some major ICO failure?
I don`t want a big crash to happen, but we have to be prepared, anyway.
18  Bitcoin / Legal / Bitcoin is ...nothing,acording to my country`s laws. on: July 29, 2017, 12:09:59 PM
I live in a country in the EU and i tried to get some information about how can i pay my taxes for my btc revenue.
Acording to my country`s legislation:
1.Bitcoin isn`t  digital money.
2.Bitcoin isn`t a digital asset.
Acording to the laws, bitcoin is nothing...BUT acording to the same legislation,i`m obligated to pay taxes for all my revenues, including the income from online trading. What if all my income comes from bitcoin trading?
Do i have to pay any taxes or no?Sorry,if this questions is asked here before.
Is this ridiculous?
19  Economy / Economics / My plan about saving the european banking system(and boosting btc value)... on: June 20, 2017, 12:58:43 PM
All the major banks in Spain and Italy have big problems with bad loans and liquidity.
If i was on top of the European central bank i would do 2 things.
1.Get rid of the negative interest rates. This will increase the interest differential and  increase the bank profits.
2.The European central bank should start printing euros and buying all the bad loans and toxic assets from the banks.
If the plan works, there`s going to be increasing inflation, but this is good for bitcoin.
Anyway i think that bitcoin is in a win-win situation against the euro.
If there is a major financial crysis in the eurozone, bitcoin is the best safe haven.
If there is major inflation in the eurozone, bitcoin offers the best protection against inflation.
This is just my theory and i`m not an expert....
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / How much does it cost to create a btc gambling site? on: October 06, 2016, 12:18:57 PM
How much does it cost to build and maintain a website like primedice (for example)?

Hosting,programming,design and advertising costs?

I have an idea about a brand new bitcoin gambling game which will be completely different than the dice sites,

but i don`t know from where to start.

I don`t know if this is the right place to ask,but can anyone answer?
