As you may know, casinos all over the United States and the world have begun closing their doors to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. While this has taken a financial toll on casinos, cafes, restaurants and hotels, etc, it has put the kibosh on problem gambling or at least made a serious dent in the lives of hopeless gambling addicts.
What will most gambling addicts do when they can no longer gamble at casinos, and what do you think they'll do when the casinos reopen in several months from now? Will most of them be finally cured of their gambling addiction, or will most of them return to their old ways?

Once I was playing the slot machine with my wife when someone that she knew (a distant acquaintance) asked her for $20 cause she ran out of money. My wife gave her $20. Half an hour later, the woman came back, removed her gold chain and tried to sell it for $50 cause she ran out of money again. My wife said no thanks. That was the last time they talked. The woman used to be married and had two sons. Sadly, her gambling addiction caused a strain on her marriage, and resulted in a divorce. Her husband left her and took custody of their children. The woman's gambling got so bad that she ended up working as a prostitute for a while.
What's the strangest or craziest thing you witnessed in a casino?

In your opinion, which casino games do you think will give you the best odds of winning? I have always favored the Roulette table's dozens, columns and colored bets to cover a lot of numbers with a few wagers. Blackjack is OK also. I think that Slots gives you the worst odds which probably explains why a large chunk of a casino's profits is from the slot machines.

What do you recommend and why? Is it better to invest $10K in 1 potentially profitable alt coin or in 10 potentially profitable alt coins? I'm not talking about already established alts like ETH, XRP or DASH. I'm talking about investing in relatively new, undervalued alts with great potential.

Wow!! I wasn't expecting to read this when I clicked to register a new account at Binance.
Registrations Pause
Fellow Binancians,
Due to the overwhelming surge in popularity, Binance will have to temporarily disable new user registrations to allow for an infrastructure upgrade. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you for your support!

I transferred some funds into my xapo USD wallet and then transferred them to my BTC wallet. Although my account balance reflects the deposited funds, the funds are not available for me to withdraw. I've been trying to withdraw since yesterday and their crappy customer support hasn't replied to my questions. I googled the words "xapo reviews" and read that many users have complained about not being able to withdraw their funds either. So the moral of the story is don't use xapo.

I'd like to start an alt coin pump alert thread.
If you know of an alt coin that you believe will pump in an X number of days because of some significant reason, then please use this thread to
(1) name the alt coin (2) when you believe it will pump, and (3) why you believe that it will pump.
There has to be a definite reason for why you think it will pump. Perhaps, it will be a major sponsor at a popular event, or there will be a significant software update, etc.

When the price of Bitcoin rises, most of the alt coin markets plummet.
(1) Does that mean that alt coin holders are losing money, or are the lower alt coin prices a mere adjustment in relation to the new price of Bitcoin?
(2) How do you determine if you are in the green or red? Do you look at the $ value of your alt coin, OR what it's worth in BTC?

DevCon3 is scheduled to take place from 1-4 November. https://ethereumfoundation.org/devcon3/If you scroll down the site's page, you'll see the event's sponsoring coins. I think that they all have a good chance to pump during this event. I thought that I'd give everyone a heads up before the event begins in a couple of days. The main sponsors are: Status (SNT) Bitcoin (BTC) Omisego (OMG) FunFair (FUN)

Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?
If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price. If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.
What's your strategy?

I've been trading for a few short months and am slowly getting the hang of it. I've made some nice profits and some very big losses. Now that I have a better idea of the crypto market and how it works with all of its ups and downs, and am more familiar with the main crypto coins such as LTC, ETH, DASH and a few others, I'm getting a little better at trading.
My question is, what do you think makes up a successful seasoned trader?
- The % of successful trades completed - How much money you make - Being able to control your emotions - Experience over the long term - Being familiar with some of the alt coins and analyzing market trends - All of the above, or something else?

Litecoin is meant to be one of the top alt coins out there, but it has been steadily falling since August 2nd. What's going on with this coin, and when do you expect it to start climbing back up?

I received the following email from WageCan today: "To prepare for the potential bitcoin network disruption ( https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2017-07-12-potential-split ), WageCan service will be unavailable from 31 July 2017 to 2 August 2017." Following services will be temporarily suspended: 1. WageCan wallet Bitcoin deposit and withdrawal 2. WageCan Card top-up services Are you aware of any other online wallets or exchanges that will be suspending their services shortly before 1 August?

According to the website https://coin.dance/stats males make up 97% of the Bitcoin community. Why is the Bitcoin community dominated by guys?
|
|
|
This might be a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask it anyway. I've noticed that every time Bitcoin significantly drops it drags down the prices of alt coins. Now let's assume that the price of Bitcoin skyrockets in August. Would that increase the price of most alt coins as a result?

What are some of your must have trading tools? For me, it's a SMS CryptoCurrency alert system. No more missed sales opportunities because I was out of the office or sleeping

If you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for?
1. I wish I had invested in Bitcoin much earlier. 2. I wish I could be a child again so that I can make different decisions and change my life. 3. I wish that Spring and Summer were the only seasons.

We all invest in projects hoping to make a profit somewhere down the track.
Have there been projects where the initial value of a coin ended up being higher than the value of the coin 18 months after its launch? OR can we expect 99.99% of projects to make some sort of profit, as little as it may be in the long run?
