121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is Poloniex Dead on: April 10, 2018, 03:19:52 AM
I used Polo a long time ago, probably about a year and a half at this point (that's a long time in the crypto world) For my recent trades, I've fully left Polo and have went into Binance. Though I haven't heard of anyone talking about Polo - the only time I do hear it though is people complaining about it. Is Polo dead? I know at one point it was controlling most of the market.

Talk about a fall from grace. From riches to rags as an exchange I guess
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why do people think that they can time the market? on: April 09, 2018, 02:04:00 PM
No one is able to do this (timing the market) in traditional markets but everyone does try to do it both in traditional markets and in crypto. Why do people think that they're able to do this?

Is it because they think they can do it while no one else can? Let me know folks.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Do you think there is a lot of money to be made in Bitcoin Acccounting? on: March 20, 2018, 03:21:51 AM
As there are a good amount of people who are trading crypto, trading bitcoin, and so on and so forth. Do you think there is a lot of money to be made in doing accounting / tax work for people who need it in the bitcoin space? As I would think a lot of people who are involved in trading, exchanges, etc aren't complying with IRS / their tax authroity rules which they have to be complying too.

Plus, how many of you actually do your taxes for bitcoin anyway?
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why do people use bad exchanges like YoBIt? on: March 13, 2018, 05:21:16 AM
What's the reason for using a low-quality exchange like yobit? There are so many other exchanges that allow for no verification (like binance) that I don't think there's a real straightforward reason to use yobit. I don't see them even having any good qualities.

Could someone explain?
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why did people get involved in bitconnect? on: March 12, 2018, 02:55:11 PM
Bitconnect looked like a pyramid scheme from early on, and it had a ton of warning signs. If you missed the fact even a ton of people on youtube told everyone that bit connect was a scam, so you didn't even need to notice it yourself.

I want to know why people got involved while knowing that it was a HORRIBLE scam from early on?
126  Economy / Economics / Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 12, 2018, 04:03:57 AM
I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

Thanks guys!
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why do charters exist? on: March 11, 2018, 07:09:44 PM
I've seen tons and tons of these people the charters, the people that think they're going to be able to predict the market movements by using fancy drawings, fancy math, etc etc. I don't see the reason for them here, Crypto doesn't seem to be something which can be charted / follows the charting ever. Most of these charters (if they followed their own signals) would be losing mass amountsof money

Why do people even give them the time of day? For echo chamber and false hope or--?
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why did mtgox dump? on: March 11, 2018, 06:16:12 PM
I've seen that they've liquidated a good chunk of their coins, but for what reason? Are they doing it in order to pay off all of the people that have lost money on their site and they have to pay them back or--is there another reason for doing it? It would be understandable if they did it in order to pay off the people who lost money due to hacks, though I don't see another reason.

Could anyone enlighten me?
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Who was the main source of FUD about Binance? on: March 10, 2018, 10:33:34 PM
I always like to know the biggest and most influential names in the news industry who try to peddle fake news. So if anyone knows about the big names that were saying that Binance was hacked, going down, people lost all their money, etc. I'd love to hear the name of the people involved with trying to stoke fear in the market and fuck everything up.

Thanks yall!
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Circle (Goldman Sachs Backed) buys Polniex on: February 27, 2018, 05:01:45 AM
Circle (now owned by Goldman Sachs) is buying out Poloniex, do you think they're finally going to push back into the crypto game and try to make some real money again? I'd think that circle has pretty much been doing nothing since they stopped selling crypto and left all of the business to Coinbase.

I think with the backing of a large company like Sachs, they're bound to do well if proper management and guidance is given (which of course should happen under them)

Here's the link - https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-26/goldman-backed-circle-buys-digital-exchange-poloniex
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How do people / companies inflate the fees on bitcoin? on: February 27, 2018, 12:18:32 AM
I see it all the time on here and I've done it myself, blaming people/companies for making the fees on bitcoin insanely high intentionally. I want to know how they go about doing this, is it spamming the network with low-cost transactions, is it owning exchanges and then not batching transactions.

Very curious on how this works and how it's allowed to continue by the miners (maybe the miners allow it to make more cash)

Let me know
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What do you think is holding bitcoin back? on: February 12, 2018, 05:16:24 PM
I've always thought that a good question to ask the community that loves Bitcoin (and all things crypto) would be that what do they think are the faults in Bitcoin. What do you see holding bitcoin back from thriving, what do you see as the core problems facing it.

I think that'll be good and educational for all that are involved.
133  Economy / Service Discussion / Why don't people realize the problems with cloud mining? on: January 27, 2018, 04:19:26 AM
I fail to understand how it's hard to notice that people aren't just going to give you access to their rigs and ASIC miners and pay you profit from it (without it being a scam) or that these lifetimes contracts are actually going to lead to profits, as companies like gensis mining are only going to pay out if its PROFITABLE FOR THEM AS WELL.

What's so hard to understand here and why are people, joining into this cloud mining scam?
134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Are the trading bots worth the price? on: January 15, 2018, 01:49:16 AM
I've seen a massive amount of people talk about the amount of money that their bots are able to make, I've looked into some of these bots (Gunbot, Profit Trailer) and when you see them, they have INSANE prices.  Something that I don't think I'd want to get into just cause I don't think it'd be able to SUSTAIN profit and to be able to PAY OFF ITSELF with such a high upfront costs.

Can anyone provide some feedback for these things?
135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why do you think CoinMarketCap removed the Korean Exchanges so abruputly? on: January 09, 2018, 04:34:22 AM
I know CMC came out with a reason and said that it was because of divergence of pricing in the Korean markets with Bitcoin and all of the other coins, but this isn't something that I full beleive as to the reason that they did this so abruputly. Wouldn't it make sense to tell traders what's happening before they see the price crash and think something crazy is happening in the markets?

I just think as a company they screwed a good portion of the crypto community -- making a good amount of people lose some money. Hopefully they'll come out with an apology.

What do yall think?
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why I would rather have paper money then Bitcoin on: January 04, 2018, 08:10:31 AM
This is going to come to a surprise to many on here, but at the moment I'd rather have paper (US FIAT) money. It's something that I would be able to actually use in my life with ease, and even though I love crypto and everything I have to be honest about what I think and see.

Plus for the fact that if i was to have bitcoin right now, I'd be paying a very high amount in fees if I wanted to actually end up using this money.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best news site for altcoin news? on: January 01, 2018, 06:27:36 PM
I'm unable to find a good news site which isn't just a shilling for coins that are going up, or are trying to be pumped. Is there anyone here who knows a good site for this sort of news? a reputable one that isn't a big pump and dump sort of thing?

Would be greatly appreciated, as I want to get into altcoin trading again.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Binance vs Bittrex on: December 24, 2017, 06:29:55 PM
Just started to get into trading alts again, what would someone say is the main differences between the two exchanges of binance and bittrex? I've just gotten involved in both and I must say I really do like Binance more, charting is nice, fees are cheaper, and everything just seems a bit sleeker.

What does everyone on here use for trading and what do you like about it?

139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Anyone use BitMex? on: December 11, 2017, 01:40:03 AM
I've seen a good amount of traders use it, as they're able to get a good amount of leverage on it but I've never been able to find any reviews on it. I wanted to know if anyone on this forum uses it, likes it, pros and cons (if ya could) and let me know if there are any alternatives for people that are in the USA and can't use Bitmex.

Thanks!
140  Economy / Economics / What's the reason behind this mass price rise? on: December 05, 2017, 05:19:23 AM
I know there has been some changes with Bitcoin, but I wouldn't think that anything big has happened (nor do I know of anything big that has happened) in the past month to justify this mass price influx. This is insane, and I really don't see a point to it.

I would expect some of you to know a bit more then me about it, so I await some more insight. Thanks!
