Do any ETFs offer conversion from a private wallet to their ETF that is not taxed upon conversion?
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Does Electrum record the date a transaction was sent to the mempool? on: January 24, 2021, 06:37:56 PM
I would like to know the time a confirmed transaction was sent to the mempool.  Does Electrum store this information?  Or is there an online service that has this information available?
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Beware Trezor return policy on: February 05, 2018, 10:26:41 AM
How can Trezor support not allow a return if the device does not work with your computer?  Any other electronic device I have ever ordered was returnable if the device did not work with my computer.
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Why include witness data in Segwit transactions? on: February 02, 2018, 07:07:12 AM
My understanding is that Segwit transactions that are included in legacy BTC blocks do not contain witness data.  Why then include witness data in Segwit transactions that are included in Segwit blocks?  It seems like we get 2x transaction throughput for 4x block size, or maybe 2x block size on average.  So why even bother with Segwit?
5  Bitcoin / Electrum / Can I use bech32 addresses in Electrum with Ledger Nano S? on: February 02, 2018, 03:14:06 AM
Sorry for the repetition, but can I use bech32 addresses in Electrum with Ledger Nano S?  If so, how?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / AML bitcoin ICO sale volume on: January 12, 2018, 12:41:13 AM
Regarding AML bitcoin, how many tokens were sold during phase 1?  And how many and at what price in the private sale?

Support said they could divulge this info due to SEC regulations, but I have not encountered this issue with other ICOs.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How much gas do I need to supply to claim EOS? on: September 28, 2017, 12:14:33 AM
How much gas do I need to supply to claimall EOS?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why did Bitcoin Cash fork instead of airdrop? on: August 01, 2017, 11:21:03 PM
Why did Bitcoin Cash hard fork the BTC blockchain instead of distributing a new coin according to current BTC wallet holdings?  It seems like this may have been easier?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin wallet transfer on: May 31, 2017, 04:03:44 AM
I have an encrypted Litecoin Core wallet that I would like to transfer to a thin client because my Litecoin blockchain was corrupted.  How do I do this?  (Can I?)
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The 51% "attack" is a vote, not an attack - a call to developers of bitcoin on: March 10, 2014, 06:48:03 PM
The 51% "attack" is a vote, not an attack

It light of many recent, high value bitcoin thefts the Bitcoin community has been discussing freezing stolen coins.  (See for example the discussion that generated this one, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=508971 )  Many are opposed to it because they see it as regulation.  But the regulation does not have to come from a judge or one so-called authoritative entity.  It can come from the votes of the community, i.e. miners.  And this is the way it should be.

I call on the developers of Bitcoin to place a priority on providing to the community and miners a simpler interface through which the miners may freeze particular coins.  The pools that show a high regard for democratic principles will lead the way to a more respected currency.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Should core bitcoin developers freeze stolen Mt.Gox bitcoins? on: March 10, 2014, 06:18:59 AM
Before I write a full argument for why the core developers should consider asking the mining community to freeze Mt. Gox’s stolen BTC (the coins mentioned here, for example, http://www.coindesk.com/gox-money-moving-through-block-chain/ ), I would like to ask your opinion.  What is it?  Yes, you.
12  Economy / Currency exchange / Failed Credit Card->Bitcoin Services on: January 27, 2014, 06:27:58 PM
I heard recently, possibly at a bitcoin conference, that there were a couple online services that offered the ability for customers to purchase bitcoins with their credit card.  These services began sometime in the last half year or so but have unfortunately failed since.  What were the names and/or websites of these services?
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Is OKPAY legitimate? on: April 23, 2013, 06:28:31 AM
I've been having a miserable experience with OKPAY.  So far it has been 2 weeks since I wired money to them and they still have not credited my account.  Has anyone else used them?  Do you think they will give me my money back?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PPC - Minting suspended due to locked wallet on: April 19, 2013, 04:48:26 AM
My PPC wallet says "Minting suspended due to locked wallet."  Can I mint PPC with my wallet?  How do I unlock it?  Are encrypted and locked the same thing?

My wallet seems always to be instantly updated when I open it, as opposed to my BTC or LTC wallet.  How/why is this?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Sending LTCs to non-existent address on: April 08, 2013, 11:24:19 AM
If I send LTCs to a non-existent address what will happen to them?  If I lost them, can I regain them?
