I do not know if you still use DiabloMiner on your GPU cluster?

I have bought the same config you have and I have tested DiabloMiner
on it. I can produce 3Gh/s. That's quite good.

Yesterday I have talked with Alex, he has developped an optimizated version of DiabloMiner.
He has committed the soft on github: https://github.com/speedygonzalez/OptDiabloMinerII

I have tested it, it's quite good, I can produce 1Gh/s more. You may try it...

I am running Windows 7 32bit
Motherboard Gigabyte AM3 AMD 870 DDR3 ATX (SATA 6G/s USB 3.0)
I have 3 XFX 5870

The problem is that I can't get the third card to work. The two that are in pcie x16 slots are working fine. If I plug the third to pcie x1 via extender Windows doesn't recognize it. I've tried dummy plugs and even plugging in monitors, but still no luck.
However, if I take the two card from x16 slots and leave only the one in x1 it boots up fine and I can start mining on it.

What do you guys think could be the problem?

What are the cheapest options for 2+ cards motherboard and processor here in UK/EU? I'll be using 5870/5850s if that matters

I noticed that in USA hardware is very cheap in comparison to UK, so I would like to know maybe there are some places in EU where prices are more reasonable?

1. 32bit is windows or linux better? (xp/vista/7/ubuntu/centos/other?)
2. What is currently the best miner. Electricity is free so we are looking for the fastest miner.
3. What are the best setting for it. edit: it's going to be a dedicated miner
4. Is it worth overclocking? How big is the risk of damaging the card? Does it invalidate warranty?

I tried searching for answers but there are millions of post contradicting each other and I know that miners get updated frequently so they probably out of date too, hence this thread.

If you could post what speed you're getting with what settings, that be cool too.
