1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Costa Rica, Workers to Paid in cryptocurrency! on: July 23, 2018, 02:14:51 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/costa-rican-workers-can-be-legally-paid-in-cryptocurrency/

In this article we can read that a new breakthrough in bitcoin economy is realized. We are always talking in this forum of the possibility of workers being paid in bitcoin or in any form of cryptocurrency. Finally the government of Costa Rica is now on the move of making that dream a reality by legalizing cryptocurrency as part of the salary of the workers.

The real question is, if this trend will become successful in long term or will not last long?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Mining in Space on: May 06, 2018, 11:42:18 AM
https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-mining-in-space-an-interview-with-miner-ones-ceo/
I was first doubtful if I will post this kind of topic since it seems useless to mine bitcoin into space, but after reading the whole article I thought that I will also share this historical even that took place 100,000 feet above the surface of the earth.

The company called Miner One has launched its mining rig called Space Miner One using a  hydrogen filled latex balloon. According to the CEO of Miner One "the goal of Space Miner One is to symbolically express our belief that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is about the future and the revolutionary technology at its heart: so-called blockchain technology. And with this new technology, the sky’s the limit.” And if you believe it or not it actually confirmed transactions at space, how cool isnt it.

I guess this even will be recorded in bitcoin history as the first mining rig to mine bitcoins at space.

According to the article he was Cai Wensheng the founder of a selfie-app called Meitu which is very popular in China. This man is a good sign that bitcoin really is becoming more attractive to big enterpreneurs across the globe.
4  Other / Off-topic / Bitcoin Forum to create social media sites to replace facebook and twitter on: April 21, 2018, 01:51:23 AM
Hello guys I know you have heard about the recent banning of cryptocurrency by facebook and twitter. And is somewhile I am thinking if we could just have a social media of our own which is dedicated to the growth and development of cryptocurrency. With this I am asking the creator of this forum if they will accept this idea that they will create an extension of this forum that looks like facebook and twitter so that we no longer need to use facebook and twitter anymore. This is a call for revolution against those social media sites who are abusing their power and authority.

So what do you think guys is my opinion good or just a plain nonsense.
5  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin back to 8k$!! Is this recovery or a trap? on: April 13, 2018, 10:14:14 AM
Well Yesterday I said in one of my comments that the bullish move of bitcoin from 6700$ to 8000$ in just a few minutes is shocking and thus we must be careful since it could be temporary and could be a trap. But until today there is no sign yet of bitcoins value going down and it still continued to increase at is already at 8k+$.

But I just noticed something, the more the price of bitcoin gets higher the more volume of btc goes in the exchanges especially in bitfinex from 74k bitcoin it climbed up to 96k bitcoin. This is a sign that more and more people are getting into bitcoin and the question is can we be confident already that this bullish move will continue or it is just a trap?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / G7 Central Banks plans to start buying cryptocurrency this year on: April 10, 2018, 07:05:15 AM
https://www.coindesk.com/2018-year-central-banks-begin-buying-cryptocurrency/

As said in this article 2018 will be the richest year for cryptocurrency as the central bank preferably the so called G7 are pouring money into cryptocurrency.
According to them" In 2018, cryptocurrencies like bitcoin will be utilized for international trade on a moderate basis because the high returns as an investment will encourage a 'hold' strategy for G7 countries".  They also added that bitcoin and other selected cryptocurrencies will be added to the list of eligible securities and currencies.

After reading this news, I shared this immediately in this forum since it is a big news to all of crypto holders especially to bitcoin enthusiasts. If the G7 will pour their money into cryptocurrency then surely we will hit 50k$ to bitcoins value this year.

Thomas Glucksman, a head of APAC business development at cryptocurrency exchange Gatecoin said that bitcoin could hit 50k$ at the end of 2018. Likewise, Mick Sherman, co-founder and CEO of Hercules Tech said that cryptocurrencies will grow big this year.

Those statements are overwhelming, it may sounds bullish but somehow there has truth in it.

9  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin is back to 7k$ , bitcoin is rising again! on: April 02, 2018, 11:50:29 AM
If we look at the chart bitcoin have started to rise up again. It fell into the dip at 6200$ and now it has climb up again to 7k$. Despite the news of closing of exchanges on Japan and India the community are having smiles on their face when they see bitcoin climbing up again. Possibly this is due to the good news being circulated around about the new development in bitcoin. All spirits are alive maybe this is the sign we are looking for.

Is this the sign we are looking for or this is just temporary?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin will be the only remaing cryptocurrency online!!! on: March 30, 2018, 02:36:57 AM
Twitters banning of cryptocurrency related ads and ICO's is a huge attack on cryptocurrency world. This may sound bad, but this is a good news for bitcoin. If you have read the article the twitter CEO mentioned this " bitcoin would likely stand as the world’s “single” currency, and that fiat or other forms of virtual money would become obsolete or nonexistent; the world ultimately will have a single currency; the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be bitcoin.” (https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/twitter-abruptly-bans-cryptocurrency-ads-beginning-today/)

These are the words being thrown by Twitter CEO and I was surprised to see that bitcoins value had dropped again. Those statements are telling us not to sell our bitcoin today but rather we must sell other altcoins and buy more bitcoins. If what he said is true then we the bitcoin holders will be really rich in the future.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Reasons why bitcoin is falling Down! on: March 18, 2018, 04:36:17 AM
We have noticed that the value of bitcoin is depreciating this few weeks and over 60 billion dollars have been wiped out in the value of cryptocurrency due the slide of bitcoins value. So what are the possible factors that contributed to the downfall of bitcoins value recently, here are some reasons according to this article; https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/15/bitcoin-price-over-60-billion-wiped-off-value-of-cryptocurrencies.html

1. Google's announcement of banning cryptocurrency related ads
2. Large selling of BTC by MT. Gox

I actually agree to the article that these two are the main culprit on the downfall of bitcoins value. Let us wait and see if bitcoin can overcome such hurdles this coming months.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency could help your business or not? on: March 17, 2018, 03:21:06 AM
I was doing some research online and I stumbled on this kind of news. https://news.bitcoin.com/since-embracing-bitcoin-robinhood-app-value-jumps-to-5-6-billion/

The article said that robinhood app after embracing cryptocurrency have its value jumped to 6 billion dollars after embracing bitcoin. This is a good sign that more and more people are engaging into bitcoin. If more business will enter into the world of cryptocurrency and will bring back the original purpose of cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than just and object of income and a trading item then surely we could revolutionized the world of finance and economy.

With robinhood as an example do you think there will be more business online that will boom and will not go bankrupt due to cryptocurrency?

I guess its hard to determine such facts base on one example so let us wait for the future to unveil itself.

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

A post was made by Pete Rizzo at coindesk dated June 15, 2015 saying that Movie Tickets.com will bring bitcoin to over 900 US movie theaters all over the United States. I was glad to read such article but given the date I am not certain if they have already implemented it or the theaters in the USA are already started to accept bitcoins.

19  Economy / Speculation / Its time to grab bitcoins from the whales! on: March 25, 2017, 02:39:40 PM
The whales are now dumping their coins and it has caused a major fall in the bitcoins price. But even after those dumps the supporters of bitcoin with its numbers is trying to overcome the dumps by buying more bitcoins from the market in the low price. Many bitcoin supporters are happy to see the price of bitcoin to fall down since it is a signal for them to buy more. More power to bitcoins and to the community, its time to buy more bitcoins!
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BCU or Bitcoin Unlimited for sale at Bitfinex on: March 22, 2017, 12:17:38 PM
I wonder if bitcoin split had occurred already. I was browsing in my facebook when I saw a post by a certain Enrique telling that Hardfork was already started and BCU is already for sale. I tried to double check it and verify it on cryptocompare to see if that claim was true. Then finally I find out that Bitfinex was already selling BCU at 0.35 btc each per coin.

Any thought on this matter guys?
