1  Economy / Economics / George Soros and Bezos have paid almost zero taxes on: June 14, 2021, 11:18:20 AM

In 2007, Jeff Bezos, then a multibillionaire and now the world’s richest man, did not pay a penny in federal income taxes. He achieved the feat again in 2011. In 2018, Tesla founder Elon Musk, the second-richest person in the world, also paid no federal income taxes. Michael Bloomberg managed to do the same in recent years. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn did it twice. George Soros paid no federal income tax three years in a row.

I am forced to post this, because a lot of people have been brainwashed into thinking that the Democrats are in favor of higher taxes for the rich. Democrat heavyweights such as Michael Bloomberg and George Soros always argue in favor of higher income and capital gains taxes. But the truth is that the Democrats only want the middle class to pay taxes. Billionaires such as Soros and Bloomberg never pays a penny in taxes, because they never sell any of their assets. Instead, they take loans by mortgaging their assets. And yet, they are thick skinned enough to gloat in the public that the "rich" should pay more taxes.

This is the reality behind the new "American families plan" by Joe Biden. The additional $6 trillion burden will fall on the middle class, while the uber-rich will continue to pay near-zero taxes.

According to the research by ProPublica, the billionaires in the US saw their wealth increasing by $401 billion between 2014 and 2018. And they paid a total of $13.6 billion in income taxes during this period (which corresponds to a rate of 3.4%). An upper middle class family in high-tax states such as California and New York are required to pay close to 60% of their income as taxes, while these people are paying around 1/20th of that amount.

If people still believe in Biden and his stupid spending plans, then the future looks hopeless for the United States.

2  Other / Politics & Society / Remains of 215 underage genocide victims found in Kamloops on: May 30, 2021, 05:59:08 AM

A mass grave containing the remains of 215 children has been found in Canada at a former residential school set up to assimilate indigenous people.

Kamloops Indian Residential School was the largest in the residential system. Opened under Roman Catholic administration in 1890, the school had as many as 500 students when enrolment peaked in the 1950s.

The Roman Catholic church operated dozens of "schools" until 1978 for indigenous children in Canada. Some 150,000 children attended these schools, where they were forcibly converted to the Semitic religion and prohibited from speaking their native language. Official numbers are that 3% of these children were killed and their bodies buried in unmarked graves. However, according to unofficial numbers, the death toll ranged from 15% to 30%. Many more were sexually and physically abused by the clergy who ran these "schools".

The church has refused to apologize for these murders and till date it hasn't paid a penny in compensation to anyone (similar to the case with all the instances of genocide carried out by Vatican ever since 1492 in the Americas). However in 2009, the Vatican released "an expression of sorrow". Well, that was 6 years before the most well known genocide perpetrator Junípero Serra was promoted as a "saint".

3  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-03-16][ET]What’s India’s beef with Bitcoin, really? on: March 17, 2021, 05:06:06 PM
View: What’s India’s beef with Bitcoin, really?

The risk that India would hit back with a new law to make criminals out of crypto professionals and investors was always present. So practitioners tried to educate policymakers, appealing for sensible regulation starting with definitions for what is a utility token, which digital asset is to be viewed as a security, and which is to be treated as a currency.

The trouble is with bureaucrats. They say they want blockchain, but not cryptocurrencies. It’s as silly as wanting airports with duty-free shops but no flights. From the Reuters story, it doesn’t appear that the final regulation will be much different from what a draft bill had recommended in 2019.

A regulatory sandbox in Mumbai, where most of India’s financial industry resides, would give the authorities ideas for designing a smart official paperless currency. If they adopt a draconian law out of a fear of money laundering or loss of control on the capital account, transactions will simply go underground. Nobody is asking New Delhi to make Bitcoin legal tender or accept tax payments in it. Just a little tolerance of cryptocurrencies will be enough.

I posted this article here, because it is one of the best articles I have ever read related to the proposed cryptocurrency ban in India. But then, I don't expect much from the politicians and bureaucrats, especially in a third world nation such as India.
4  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-03-15]10% of the $380 billion in stimulus checks may be used to buy BTC on: March 16, 2021, 05:19:49 AM
Nearly 10% of the $380 billion in stimulus checks may be used to buy bitcoin and stocks: survey

Armed with a fresh round of stimulus checks, Americans may be ready to shop...for some bitcoin and stocks. A new survey out of Mizuho Securities on Monday estimates that 10%, or nearly $40 billion of the $380 billion in direct stimulus checks, may be used to purchase bitcoin and stocks. Mizuho managing director Dan Dolev and his team surveyed approximately 235 individuals with less than $150,000 of household income. Of that, about 200 said they expect to receive the third round of direct stimulus payments in the coming days.

Bitcoin is expected to account for 60% of the total invested, which could add add as much as 3% to the cryptocurrency's market value, according to Mizuho Securities Managing Director Dan Dolev.

I had previously posted about this. The stimulus can be one of the best things ever to happen for Bitcoin. 10% looks like a conservative number for me, but even that much amount can cause a huge rally in Bitcoin exchange rates and completely disrupt the supply-demand equilibrium currently prevailing in the cryptocurrency market.
5  Other / Politics & Society / War between Armenia(Հայաuտան) and Azerbaijan(Azərbaycan) over Nagorno Karabakh on: October 01, 2020, 10:42:58 AM

War started 4 days ago, when Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ordered his puppet Aliev to attack Armenia. The Azeri army with the help of Turkey and Syrian National Army militants launched an unprovoked attack on the Republic of Artsakh (which is historically regarded as a part of Armenia since 7th century BC).

The population of Armenia is just 3 million, compared to 100 million plus for Azerbaijan and Turkey. Israel is providing the latest weapons to Azerbaijan, who purchase them using petro-dollars. Armenia doesn't have any petroleum resources and most of its budget is comprised of remittance from its large diaspora. Armenia is surrounded on all sides by hostile neighbors.

The reason for the war:

The modern Armenia comprises of only around 10% of the historic Armenian homeland. The remainder is currently controlled by Turkey, who committed one of the most brutal genocides in the history of mankind, when they exterminated 2 million Armenians, along with 2 million other Christian minorities (Greeks, Assyrians.etc) during 1915-18. Now Erdogan want to cleanse the remaining 10% and completely exterminate the Armenian nation.

Now this is just a start. Erdogan wants to be the Caliph of his dream Turkic empire, which comprises of Anatolia, Caucasus, Balkans, Siberia, Levant, Central Asia and the Middle East.

Current situation:

The Armenian soldiers are more battle-hardened, but Azerbaijan is having the latest weapons. So far Armenia have lost large swathes of territory, but during the last couple of days they have managed to stall the Turkish/Azeri advance.

US-made weapons are also being used in this war. Yesterday, a Turkish F16 fighter jet shot down an Armenian fighter jet inside Armenian borders. The pilot was killed.

Till yesterday, the Armenians have admitted that their confirmed casualties include 104 soldiers and 7 civilians who are dead. Azerbaijan hasn't released the details of military deaths.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Very innovative BTC/ETH scam ongoing live, right now. on: March 21, 2020, 03:13:44 PM
First the scammers set up a fake website and claimed that it is the official site of Elon Musk:

Then they bombarded the social media with promotions related to this scam.

They have a separate site, where the scam actually takes place:

There are thousands of tweets and facebook posts promoting this scam right now, most of them posted during the last 30 minutes.

We need to mass report and warn innocent users about this.

Noobs have already lost at least $2,500 worth of crypto:

Edit: Someone just lost $6,200 worth of BTC:

Someone please help. A lot of people are losing hard earned coins.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Yazidi slave girl beaten to death by ISIS women inside UN camp on: September 07, 2019, 07:00:44 AM

The Al Hol refugee camp in Syria, which is being managed by the United Nations houses more than 80,000 ISIS members, in addition to a few hundred Yazidi slaves still being held by the ISIS members. A few of the slaves have managed to escape, but a few days back a Yazidi girl was caught while trying to escape and she was beaten to death by the ISIS terrorists.

The most alarming news is that somewhere around 600 and 700 of the Yazidi slaves have been transported to Turkey (where the president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is sympathetic to the ISIS), in order to harvest their organs. Nothing have been heard about these children after arriving in Turkey.

As per the estimates given by Yazdi activists, 3,487 out of 6,417 Yazidis who were kidnapped by the ISIS have been freed so far. But the fate of the remaining 2,930 remains unknown. Most of the aid agencies are refusing to help them, as the Yazidis are refusing to convert to Christianity or Islam after leaving their religion (which is one of the oldest religions in existence).
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Breaking News! Third world nation bans BTC. 10 years in jail for holding crypto on: June 07, 2019, 12:19:41 PM
India has decided to completely ban the possession, sale and purchase of Bitcoin or any other form of crypto-currency.

According to the mainstream media, the measures will be implemented this month, with a 90-day waiting period. Anyone who don't "dispose off" their crypto holding within this time period will be charged with non-bailable criminal offenses, which can be punished by up to 10 years in jail.

What makes this measure different from others is that while countries such as Nepal and Bangladesh have arrested random individuals for trading in cryptocurrency (or for exchanging crypto for fiat), none of the authorities anywhere in the world have arrested users just for the possession of crypto-currency.

There are an estimated 100,000 crypto-traders in India, and there are another 5,000,000 individuals who have dealt with crypto at some point of time.

9  Other / Politics & Society / SCOTUS to become real conservative majority by 2019 on: May 09, 2019, 01:33:06 PM
Right now, this is the ideological position of the SCOTUS judges:

(In the above graph, John Roberts is given a score of +0.20, making him a centrist to moderate conservative. But recent rulings indicate that he has taken a leftist to far-leftist position).

Out of the 9 judges, we have 4 who are far-left (Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Kagan and Breyer) and 4 who are right-wing (Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Thomas). The remaining judge (John Roberts) who forms the swing vote, can also be considered as left-wing.

In short, the SCOTUS is having a left-wing majority now.

Now Trump is left with almost 1.5 years, and the Republicans enjoy a comfortable majority in the senate (even without the RINO Murkowski). If there is another vacancy during his term, then Trump should be able to fill it and flip the SCOTUS from left-wing majority to right-wing majority.

And indications are that, there will be at least one vacancy this year... and it is going to be none other than Darth Vader Ginsburg.

Ginsburg is suffering from lung cancer (a type of cancer which has low levels of survival, especially for 86-year olds). As per my calculations, she has 6 months, or at the most 12 months left.

Trump has given indications that he may chose Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ginsburg. Barrett is one of the most conservative judges available and her selection would ensure a conservative majority at least for the next two decades.
10  Economy / Reputation / Lauda using red trust as a weapon to silence those differ from her politically on: May 02, 2019, 02:15:36 PM
As per the forum policies, red trust is a punishment given to those who try to scam others. Most of the admins here are unbiased, and use red trust only when there is sufficient proof that an user is trying to scam someone.

But the case is different with the extreme-leftist cabal led by Lauda. If they notice that someone is on the opposite side of the political divide, then they'll use the silliest reasons to nuke that account.

Seven months back, I was red trusted by Lauda, for bumping the ANN thread. I wasn't trying to scam, and explained it to her. But no use. As per the forum rules, thread bumping and spamming are not liable for red trust. At the most, they can be banned for 7 days or 14 days. But Lauda makes her own rules and used this as an excuse to destroy my account. And my case is very unique. Others who did the same escaped without any punishment, and I was the only one who received red trust.

I joined this forum way back in 2012 and no matter how insignificant it was, I also played my part in popularizing this forum. Back then, the admins respected freedom of speech and were unbiased. I had no black mark here until this admin gave me red trust.

I am not begging anyone to remove my red trust, because I know that it was given to me in an unfair manner. I am making this post, to make others aware of what is going on here. For the past 2-3 years, this forum has become a place to bully and blackmail, thanks to certain high ranking users.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A suggestion for ICO promoters and bounty managers on: October 14, 2018, 08:44:00 AM
Being a member of Bitcointalk for more than 6 years, I am quite a bit bothered by what happening in the bounty section for the past few months. This is what I have noticed:

1. A lot of scam projects are creating bounty campaigns and ANN threads. Once the bounty campaign is finished, they vanish all of a sudden without paying the bounty hunters and leaving the investors in limbo.

2. The quality of the bounty managers have gone down. Junior level members are acting as bounty managers and they often don't update the spreadsheets and sometimes indulge in cheating by enrolling proxy accounts to the campaign.

3. Large number of newbs are signing up for bounty campaigns, often enrolling using purchased Facebook / Twitter accounts (esp. in Social media bounty). The quality of posts being done by the bounty campaign participants have gone down quite a lot during the last few months.

4. Even those bounties which pay end up listing at 80% or 90% discount to their original prices and in the end the honest bounty campaign participants end up with very small rewards. On the other hand, those signing up with 10-12 multiple accounts end up with sizeable rewards. And it is the latter category, which indulges in token dumping.

5. There is no incentive to hold on to the tokens, as a majority of the ICO promoters dump their tokens in the market and vanish. If you check, the vast majority of the listed ICOs are in a dormant or defunct state now.

I have a few suggestions to resolve some of the issues, before the issues go out of hand.

1. There should be a requirement that if anyone want to post an ANN in Bitcointalk, he must deposit 0.1% of the total amount (of the softcap) in an escrow account. For example, if a project is planning to raise $50,000,000 from the investors, then before creating the ANN thread the promoters must deposit $50,000 in either BTC or ETH to an escrow account held by the Bitcointalk staff. If the soft-cap is smaller, like $500,000 then the escrow amount should be 0.1% of that, i.e $500. If the promoters vanish, then this amount should be forfeited. Also, if the promoters go back on their promises once the tokens are listed, then this escrow amount should be frozen and may be (partially) released only if they achieve the objectives which they had promised earlier.

2. There should be a list of approved bounty managers and those outside this list should not be allowed to act in this role. There are a lot of trusted bounty managers here, like Yahoo62278 and Lutpin. I don't think that newbs should be given priority over them.

3. In order to participate in a bounty campaign, it should be mandatory for all the users to post their ETH address in the "Location" field in the profile. I have noticed a large number of spammers using someone else's BTT account and their own ETH address to enroll in to social media bounties. This step will put and end to the practise and will weed out the spammers.

4. All the bounty campaign participants must be carefully screened before the payout. In order to prevent token dumping, a few steps can be taken. Since the bounty reward is 1% to 3% of the total amount, the promoters themselves can purchase this portion from the exchanges. Or they can make the bounty payments in BTC/ETH. There should also be a condition that the promoters should hold on to 90% of their tokens for at least 12 months. (Because I have noticed that it is the promoters who do dumping in the vast majority of the cases, and they blame it on the bounty hunters).

5. KYC must be mandatory for ICO promoters and bounty campaign managers (unless they are on level 2 DT). If this is done, then the scammers won't be able to set up multiple fake ICOs.

I am posting this because now the real impact is becoming obvious. Experienced users are staying away from bounty campaigns and even very promising ICOs are getting listed at heavily-discounted rates. This can't go on forever.

Good ICOs need to be protected from the negativity in the market created by the fake ICOs.
Honest bounty hunters needs to be protected from the cheaters
Properly run bounty campaigns and airdrops should be appreciated and differentiated from the poorly managed ones.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Beardless men look like girls and provoke gay thoughts on: February 08, 2018, 02:20:27 PM

An Islamic preacher in Turkey launched a scathing attack on clean-shaven men, claiming that they “look like women” and provoke “indecent thoughts”. Murat Bayaral’s intervention, made on a religious TV channel on 16 December, has highlighted the increasing Islamisation of Turkey under President Recep Erdogan. “Men should grow beards. One of the two body parts that separate men from women is the beard,” Bayaral said. “For example, if you see a man with long hair from afar you may think he is a woman if he does not have a beard. Because nowadays women and men dress similarly. God forbid! You could be possessed by indecent thoughts,” he added.

It is no secret that Muslim men get sexual arousal by the sight of clean shaven males. The custom of Bacha bazi is wide-spread in various nations, such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Arab nations.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Muslims projected at 7.4% to 14.0 of the EU population by 2050 on: December 08, 2017, 11:18:21 AM
So the Pew forum has given three scenarios for the future Muslim population in the EU. These are:

1. Medium migration scenario: 11.2% of the population
2. High migration scenario: 14.0% of the population
3. Zero migration scenario: 7.4% of the population

14  Other / Politics & Society / Anti-ISIS fighter and national hero Major General Issam Zahreddine killed in SAR on: October 18, 2017, 11:17:51 AM

The prominent Syrian Arab Army (SAA) officer, Major General Issam Zahreddine, was killed today in Deir Ezzor after his convoy struck a land mine planted by the Islamic State (ISIS). According to a military source, General Zahreddine was conducting a special operation at Saqr Island in Deir Ezzor, when his vehicle struck the land mine. General Zahreddine was the commander of the elite 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard that heroically fought off the Islamic State (ISIS) for several years, while under siege and under supplied.

Along with Brigadier General Suheil al-Hassan, Major General Issam Zahreddine was among the most powerful generals of the Syrian Army. He almost single-handedly defeated the ISIS barbarians in Deir Ezzor region, despite being heavily outnumbered and under-supplied. RIP Issam!

15  Other / Politics & Society / 102 Hindus butchered by Rohingya terrorists in Rakhine on: September 25, 2017, 09:36:00 AM

On Sunday the army said it had discovered two mud pits filled with 28 Hindu corpses, including women and children, outside the village of Ye Baw Kyaw in northern Rakhine. "The security troops continue searching for remaining Hindu people around the places of the pits," said a statement posted on army chief Min Aung Hlaing's Facebook page Monday, blaming Rohingya militants for the killings. Displaced Hindus from the area told AFP last week that Rohingya fighters stormed into their communities on August 25, killing many and taking others into the forest. They showed AFP a list of 102 people from two villages — Ye Baw Kyaw, where the bodies were found, and Taung Ywar — feared dead by distraught relatives, who wept as they described the bloodshed.

A total of 102 Hindus from the villages of Ye Baw Kyaw and Taung Ywar were slaughtered by Muslim Rohingya terrorists a few days back. The bodies of 28 individuals have been discovered (20 women and 8 children). The remaining captives were abducted by the terrorists and herded in to the forest, where they were also killed. Their dead bodies are yet to be found.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Rohingya Muslims with support from Pope Francis attack Hindus and Buddhists on: August 28, 2017, 04:44:04 AM

Rohingya (Bengali) terrorists affiliated with the ISIS, and armed with machine guns and hand grenades attacked 30 police stations in the Myanmarese state of Rakhine in a simultaneous and coordinated attack. More than 104 people have died, including around three dozen Hindus and Buddhists. All the Hindu and Buddhist civilians in Maungdaw area have been evacuated by the army.

And Pope Francis has come out in support of the ISIS affiliated Muslims:

This is the BBC article a few days back, when he was denied a visa:

He was allowed to tarvel after intense lobbying by the Democrat politicians and the liberal judges. And a few hours after landing in the United States, he showed his true color by sexually abusing a child. The latest news here:

His family members back in Kashmir are "happy" that he is receiving legal aid from the extreme left-wing nuts.
18  Economy / Economics / Wood Mackenzie values Aramco at $400 billion, despite claims of $2 tr by Saudis on: February 24, 2017, 11:27:20 AM

A few days back, the Saudi officials announced that they are valuing the Aramco at around $2 trillion, and the 5% stake sale was expected to bring around $100 billion to the state exchequer. Seems like they got their calculations wrong. Wood Mackenzie, a global leader in consultancy services for the petroleum industry today valued the Aramco at just $400 billion, meaning that the 5% stake sale will fail to cover even 10% of the budget deficit.

19  Other / Politics & Society / Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski sides with Democrats in the Senate voting on: February 08, 2017, 04:40:36 AM

Two of the RINOs voted against the appointment of Betsy DeVos as the education secretary, but the others including Lindsey Graham and John McCain voted with GOP. The Republicans need to learn something from the Democrats, who always vote along the party line. And this lack of unity is the reason why some people are reluctant to support the GOP.
