1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Importing private keys into 2.7.2 on: October 08, 2016, 04:59:14 PM
I have updated my Electrum wallet from 2.6.4 to 2.7.2, and it has deleted my wallet.
I created a new one from my seed and have added 5 private keys from my old original Bitcoin wallet, which I have been using for years, using the instructions here:

http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html#can-i-import-private-keys-from-other-bitcoin-clients

The process has arrived at a box marked Install Wizard which says Please wait...

Nothing has happened for several hours. How long am I supposed to wait?
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Internal wallet transfer on: June 18, 2014, 08:49:43 AM
I have stopped using the Bitcoin Core wallet, and I have imported 2 of the private keys into Electrum, which works fine, except that these addresses aren't included in the wallet seed.
Can I do an internal transfer to move my funds from the imported addresses to native addresses in the Electrum wallet that are supported by the seed?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Forget about Spillcoin™- It never existed. on: March 15, 2014, 02:51:54 PM
Recently on Bitmessage there was mention of an altcoin called Spillcoin™.
It seemed to have its own Bitmessage channel: deleted
and there was a website: deleted

UPDATE: Forget about Spillcoin™. The website quickly disappeared, and it turned out that the whole event was just a big wind-up by Bitmessage trolls.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Private keys format on: December 19, 2013, 09:34:28 AM
I have dumped 2 private keys from my Bitcoin-QT wallet, and they are in L**** format.
How can I get these keys in 5**** format, so that I can import them into an Electrum wallet?

I can't really transfer the funds, as they are mostly bitdust, plus I want to keep the same addresses in Electrum.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Small altcoin giveaway on: March 17, 2013, 08:28:58 PM
I have mined and collected a small amount of altcoins, which I would now like to give away to a worthy cause.
I have: 1 Litecoin, 8 Terracoins, 5 Freicoins and 20 PPcoins.
I don't really expect anything in return for them, but I would be thrilled to receive a very small donation of micro-Bitcoins in exchange, if someone was feeling generous.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Litecoin client error on: December 22, 2012, 04:01:22 PM
This is my first post, so please be gentle with me.

I have installed the Litecoin-0.6.3c client on Windows XP, and downloaded the blockchain up to date.
I created a file called litecoin.conf, and put it in the blockchain data folder. It contains the following lines:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=longpassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9332
server=1

When I try to start the client I get an error box that says:

An error occured while setting up the RPC port 9332 for listening:
open: An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used

What have I done wrong, and how do I fix it?
