21  Bitcoin / Hardware / How to tell the batch number of the miner? on: March 18, 2016, 06:08:13 AM
I have two Bitminer S7's bought a few weeks apart. I think the second one is a batch 10. But not sure.

How can I figure out the batch number of the miners either through the web or by physical inspection of the machine?

Thanks!! Smiley
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Single Red and Black wires w/ connector on BITMAIN's AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU on: February 23, 2016, 09:24:48 PM
Hello,
Newbie here.

I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered, but in scouring the board and searching different keywords, I haven't found the answer.

I have 1 S7 running off a EVGA Gold 16000 and am having no problems and setting up the cabling  was a breeze.

Now I have come across another S7 B10. So I ordered one of the BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU's.

I have all the primary cables hooked into the S7 boards and to the controller.
BUT, what are the red and black single wires with a small connector coming from the PSU that are left over? What are they for and what do I do with them?

Also, there is a single yellow and green pair of single wires coming from the PSU that seemed to be jumper'd together or capped.
What are these for and what do I do with them if anything.

I have not powered on that S7 or PSU yet as my electrician friend is coming tomorrow to put in new lines for 240V.

Thanks for any information! Smiley

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / "Pay to address" on MNC on: February 06, 2016, 05:40:17 AM
Hi Folks, I just started Bit Mining about week ago using 2 fast computers (with two Antiminer 7's to be delivered next week).

I am using the Bitminter Mining pool for now.

On the page, https://bitminter.com/members/, there is a payout form:

Auto cash out
If you activate auto cash out for a given currency and your balance is over your chosen minimum threshold, then your entire balance will be sent to your chosen address at the next payment run. Payment runs are every hour on the hour, plus whenever a new block of a given currency is confirmed.

Active   Type   Threshold   Pay to address                   Action
On   BTC        1.00000000   xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   QR   Change
Off   NMC         0.0   -   Change

I understand about putting my BTC wallet ID in the "Pay to Address" field for the BT coins. But the BTC address doesn't fit in that field. What goes in that field?
Also, should the "Threshold" of the BTC and of the MNC be the same?

Additionally, any suggestions to what these amount should be? Equal?

I sincerely appreciate any knowledge and information you kind folks can provide. Also, it would be great if some could send me a Doc or PDF explaining NMC.

Thank you so VERY, VERY much from a Newbbie!! Smiley Smiley
