1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Finally received my batch 1 Avalon #152 ordered / paid on September 23, 2012 on: March 25, 2013, 05:22:40 PM
I called DHL today and they have nothing coming to my address in Canada. I have emailed Yifu numerous times. I have private messaged him and opened 2 support tickets. I have been polite in all my messages. I have done everything I can to get an update on my shipping situation. I continue to receive no response from him.

My order was placed and paid on September 23, 2012. My shipping address and phone number are correct. As a customer I did everything quickly and correctly.

Where is my batch 1 Avalon?

Edit: Bitsyncom / Yifu why did it take so long? My address was correct. I ordered and paid quickly. You didn't ship the unit until April 1st. I lost out on a lot of bitcoins.

What was the point of ordering early?
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Have any Canadians received their batch #1 Avalons? on: March 20, 2013, 06:57:37 PM
I called DHL today and they still have nothing coming my way. Are shipments to Canada being shipped with DHL?

My order number is around 150. BitSyncom / Yifu won't reply to my many polite and respectful emails.

Do you live in Canada? Did you get your batch #1 Avalon?

Yifu / BitSyncom please respond.
3  Economy / Speculation / Technical analysis is total bunk. on: February 16, 2013, 06:36:57 PM
I spent many years learning and using TA. Squiggly lines from the past will never predict what price will do in the future.

How many "technical analysts" trading bitcoins have lost out on profits because of a crossover or divergence in any number of indicators? Large traders that can move the market, will buy and sell when they feel it benefits them or their organization. It's not because of some squiggly lines on a chart. The squiggly lines only tell you what has happened, not what's going to happen. Technical analysts are a lot like problem gamblers. They always talk about their wins but they never talk about their loses. This is especially true of any TA subscription service. Avoid them and save your money / bitcoins.

PRICE and only PRICE should dictate your actions as a trader.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / The Avalon Batch 1 Shipment Status Thread on: February 01, 2013, 07:49:25 AM
I thought I would start a thread discussing shipments for the first batch of Avalons. I am a current customer and I believe I have one of the first 50 units on order. I got lucky I guess. The only units that have arrived are Jeff Garzik's and The Bitcoin Foundations (4 module, very nice!). This thread is for current batch 1 customers to share information they have received regarding their individual shipments. Yifu from the Avalon Team says that their current bottleneck is customs.

I have no new information from the Avalon Team. My emails to the team remain unanswered. I have not been given the opportunity to select DHL or EMS. My status on the order page remains "Bitcoin Payment Completed." I'm hoping my unit will get out of the country before the Chinese New Year (Feb 10th).

If you have any new information regarding a shipment please share it with the rest of us. Maybe Yifu will take some time and give us some more details regarding the current shipments.

I will update this post if I get any new information.

5  Economy / Speculation / Some serious resistance around $7.20 minor support at $6.00 on: January 08, 2012, 04:51:40 AM
On an hourly chart, $7.20 resistance has held 5 or more times recently. Presently we are back in the recent trading range. Thoughts?

6  Economy / Marketplace / What's the best way to sell Bitcoins for Canadian dollars? on: May 15, 2011, 12:57:19 AM
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated?
7  Bitcoin / Mining / A few questions for the mining gurus. on: April 01, 2011, 03:21:26 AM
I have a dedicated Windows 7 64bit mining rig with 4 x 5870's. I would like to boot the computer and have the overclocking  / underclocking and m0mchil/poclbm miner start automatically without any input from me. Presently I have to boot into windows, setup afterburner for gpu 1, start my miner and then move my monitor cable from gpu 1 to gpu 2. Repeat x 2.

Is there a way to make the gpu's think a monitor is connected when there isn't?  With afterburner I have to switch between gpu's in settings, to allow me to underclock the memory low enough.

Any suggestions or workarounds are appreciated.
