3  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying 5000 USD worth of btc in the next few days on: April 09, 2013, 01:03:40 AM
Hello I recently got my dad interested in Bitcoin and he has been extremely frustrated by bitinstant and mtgox. Bitinstant has limits too low for his taste. I am taking bids and would appreciate suggestions on how to get him 5000 worth of bitcoin in a fast and expedient manner. The bids should be in percent over spot value.

EDIT: My location is Auburn AL my father's is Minneapolis MN.
4  Economy / Lending / 4 Btc loan on: February 05, 2013, 01:49:50 AM
I am borrowing 4 Bitcoins on btcjam for one month at a 10% monthly interest rate. Please look at my current investment on btcjam. The borrower is very solid and the amount of risk on that loan is basically less than the risk on this loan. I have a payment of 5.3 Bitcoins due to me on the 10th of February and once that comes in I will pay of the loan early. # note (that loan is 4.5% a month) In the case that borrowers does not pay me then my investment of the principle will more cover this loan.

I wish that I could make my accounts receivable into some sort of binding collateral on btcjam then all of the people who also invested in that loan would immediately be interested in my current loan seeing as it is a higher interest rate for the same risk.
btcjam please look into that.

5  Economy / Speculation / The Bitcoin Millionaire Syndrome extreme Bitcoin speculation and Bitcoin Economy on: January 11, 2013, 01:41:09 AM
I have caught the Bitcoin Millionaire Syndrome. I think that some day my few Bitcoins may become worth anywhere from a small fortune to a large fortune. This means that I am much more reluctant to actually spend Bitcoins. Is it possible that this thinking and behavior is common among those who own Bitcoins and is it detrimental to the expansion of the Bitconomy? for a more in depth post look at http://wp.me/p2VF4G-r. Please forgive me for putting this on the wrong board.
