For example, i was 3 weeks behind, it synced reasonably quick, but upon reaching 10 days or so, it took forever.

In your opinion which are more active, which are better?
Both coins laid out comparable beautiful roadmaps, but can they really make it happen or they are just for hyping?

I attempted to run bitcore to catch up with the blockchain on a shared VPS. It's using too much resource. The load avg spiked to 3 for a few hours and my vps got suspended. Is there a way to lower the priority of bitcore especially when catching up ? I tried the nice command but it rarely helped. Should be an option for bitcoind to consume less resource by running slower ?

I'm looking to buy a phone, iphone 6 is out of my price range, N5 is out for too long, N6 is made by a shitty company called Moto. Seems like OnePlus is only my option.
Share me some love, will you, please ?

Only bank account I have is Chase. I hear that they don't allow to deposit to other people's account, so it does not work with localbitcoins right ?
I'm looking to open a new bank acc to sell some coins on localbitcoins. Which bank should I be with ?

I was on an impression that reusing addresses is not a good practice, but I also noticed that the classic client sometimes picks old addresses to receive changes, isn't it a bad thing?

Hi, I'd been doing a stupid thing making my wallet full of empty addresses, now the size of wallet.dat is 150MB, and it's noticeably slow occasionally when query thru rpc, I guess the wallet size must be hurting the overall performance. Is there a library that I can use to navigate my wallet, and remove those useless addresses/private keys ?

to a client that hold wallet in the local machine. As my understanding it's not currently possible right ?
What I'm doing right now is, I have bitcoind running on a server, and when I need to spend my coins, I rsync the blockchain from the server to my local machine which is more practical than waiting for the local bitcoind to sync up.
Say I prefer trusting bitcoind on my server to other external services (blockchaininfo , electrum, etc), it should make more sense if my remote bitcoind can provide rpc to local client holding wallet to connect to it.

Can we just release new ones basing on other types of POW, like primecoin / protoshare clone or what not ? As scrypt is already figured out, LTC miners point their rigs early, take boat load, dump all back to LTC/BTC on exchanges, nothing exciting happens.

While top currency like Ltc PPCoin orderbook are thin.
Although FTC executed volume are as thin as other alts.
Is it because FTC are held by a small group of ppl, and they are just filling fake orderbook as part of marketing plan?

And altcoins are intranets so they should have 0 value.
But why do they draw this analogy ?
There is no supporting community of intranet, but there are communities behind alts. So it's more like religion competitions to me. The first religion dominated the world for a period, after thousand years we have at least 3 major religions.
What is your bitcoin and alts analogy?
