1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will Ethereum 2.0 Pulls Up Ether? on: October 14, 2019, 08:30:45 AM

Despite the slow growth of the Ether, I remain a strong believer in this digital asset. There are some people who have already disillusioned with this cryptocurrency platform claiming that it is not anymore the way it should be and that the leadership of Vitalik Buterin is not doing enough in the face of many challenges the network has to work on.

Now, the platform will soon be unleashing the Ethereum 2.0 which many expect can finally pull out the whole ecosystem from the block hole it is in. Do you think this can be the answer we are looking especially on the question/concern of scalability?

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 14, 2019, 08:21:09 AM

In my almost four years of getting involved (just an ordinary holder and part-time trader, nothing so great actually), I am so sure that Bitcoin can be a major source of stress especially if you bought them at a higher price and then the price made some slide. Now, I am not saying that it is Bitcoin's fault because stress in the first place depends a lot on our perception and how we are managing it. But definitely, we can categorize as a stressor at some degree.

On the other hand, Bitcoin can also be the source of "happiness" especially when the coin is having a great time jumping upwards. Certainly, there can be euphoria if in 2020 Bitcoin can go higher that its 2017 ATH. Bitcoin is known for extreme volatility and it can go from one side to the other in matter of hours and days.

No wonder that Steve Wozniak the Apple co-founder sold his bitcoin because riding the roller coaster stressed him out.

How do you manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: October 02, 2019, 02:26:40 PM

We know that Bitcoin celebrated its 10th year anniversary this year and for the past many years so many things had happened especially with the birth of this new and trending cryptocurrency industry. In a short period (as compared to the fiat currencies we have around) of time, Bitcoin  was able to achieve many things. Yes, Bitcoin is not perfect and maybe it will never be but with its accomplishments at hand, we have a lot to celebrate actually.

Now, Bitcoin is starting its journey for the next 10 years. There are many challenges and maybe even negative developments that can severely affects its viability but at the end of the day I am sure that Bitcoin can be able to weather them all.

How do you see Bitcoin 10 years from today?
4  Economy / Speculation / What Developments Can Put Bitcoin Upwards Again? on: September 30, 2019, 09:17:19 AM

While people are still speculating as to the many factors that might have contributed to the continuing slide of the Bitcoin price in the marketplace, let's also focus on what are possible developments that can push Bitcoin upwards again. With the seemingly large void of good news, the market can be looking for anything that can be catalyst for the reversal of this ongoing downhill trend. And how can we inspire people to buy more Bitcoin to increase the demand for the coin?

5  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-08-05] Bitcoin Morphs Into Unlikely Sanctuary As Market Turmoil Rises on: August 05, 2019, 07:27:55 PM

Investors the world over are finding an unusual place to hide as the trade war between the U.S. and China roils global markets: Bitcoin. Investors piled into safer securities such as sovereign bonds on Monday after China struck back in its trade dispute with the U.S. and let its currency weaken through a milestone level. Major cryptocurrencies, increasingly seen as a refuge during distressed times, also rose, with Bitcoin gaining more than 14% and smaller peers including XRP and Litecoin each rising more than 5%.

“It definitely appears to be acting somewhat like a safe haven,” said Brad Bechtel, head of foreign exchange at Jefferies LLC. “When markets are calm and rallying, then Bitcoin sort of falls by the wayside,” he wrote by email. “But every time we see turbulence in the market and it starts to sell off, you see Bitcoin” and other safe-haven assets rally.

Risk assets across the world slumped after President Donald Trump threatened to impose a 10% tariff on Chinese imports that weren’t yet subject to levies. China responded on Monday, letting the yuan tumble to its weakest in more than a decade and asking state-owned firms to stop importing U.S. agricultural products.

Source is here.

As the global economy is now poised for big problems and challenges brought on by many factors foremost of which is the trade war between USA and China, Bitcoin is taking its right place as the most important safe haven as the digital gold, together with its real counterpart. And investors are loving it here with Bitcoin because of its tremendous potential for return-on-investment.

Will it mean that Bitcoin is now ready for the next big bull run?

6  Economy / Economics / Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: July 30, 2019, 04:27:59 AM

Lately, there is a big buzz and fuzz on the introduction of the new cryptocurrency (some called it as fake) called as Libra which is under the leadership and influence of the people behind the Facebook social media conglomerate. What resembled like a circus, politicians and other known personalities expressed apprehension that what Libra can bring will put the global financial and economic system under jeopardy and control of a select few men which I assumed the public don't trust.

But I am wondering...is Libra really that potent that it can disrupt the currency financial system or are these people just imagining things which will never happen anyway? Are we ascribing power and influence on Mark Zuckerberg that can turn out to be a dud later?
7  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-07-12] Peer-to-Peer Transactions Spike in Zimbabwe on: July 13, 2019, 02:14:47 AM
Quote

In late June, Zimbabwe re-introduced the Zimbabwe dollar, nearly a decade after abandoning it. The newly minted currency brought with it a ban on the US dollar, British pound, South African Rand, Botswana Pula, and a host of other foreign currencies.

The struggling economy's only legal tender is now the Zimbabwe Dollar, but that hasn't stopped Zimbabwean's from transacting Bitcoin. Nor has the country's ban on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Peer-to-peer transactions of Bitcoin are surging in Zimbabwe as the country's economy faces an uncertain future. Mobile money platform, EcoCash, which handles 99% of cash-in transactions in Zimbabwe, is the gateway of choice for most looking to move their USD to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Amid Zimbabwe's policy reform, EcoCash saw 11.5% growth in the first quarter of 2019.

It is nice to see the big growth of Bitcoin happening right now in Zimbabwe which is showing us that indeed even if the government banned the cryptocurrency there are ways to get into it as long as there is that demand (or should I say strong) from the people. In a struggling and very problematic economy like this country has, Bitcoin can be playing a big role in storing value and providing more stability for the people.

It seems that altcoins this time is in RED mode, that means we need to buy. During the previous months Altcoins, they are rising up in prices, but 2018 is the falling down of all altcoins and bitcoin.

So 2018, will be the buying year. I declare to myself that i will buy as much as i can, since i am a long term investor.

I appreciate good comments. And please correct me if im wrong with my moves.

Hi Bitcointalk members, its been a year that i started my bounty and airdrops journey, and i find it very blessed for me, i started last year with Minexcoin, though it was my first time. Now minexcoin has been performing well, and i never sell my coins, so from that experience i started other coins and tokens to work on..Now every week i received a lots of tokens in my wallet, and its worth it because slowly by slowly it appears the value of the coin and im so happy with it.

Thanks to Bitcointalk for the knowledge that i get, you inspired me to work on this.,and also to the members who shared their valuable knowledge in this industry.

Im so thankful to you guys, you made my journey very meaningful.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / My Piece of Advice to Bounty and Airdrops Participants on: February 23, 2018, 10:04:15 AM
Hi everybody, as we all know that airdrops and bounties are scattered everywhere., and we dont have any assurance if this project would give us benefits for promoting those tokens and bounties. My only point of view before you promote those bounties is that make sure you read all the necessary informations on their websites, the whitepaper, the roadmaps, and the team behind it. Some people are trying to make an offering for ICO and at the end of the day, it will go scam, and we as a member in their promotion team, we can also be blamed by some investors. So before promoting anything, make a study first and be more vigilant, because this concerns the money of the people.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / ICO expectation this 2018 on: December 31, 2017, 11:14:10 AM

A lot of new ICO's are open for sale this last quarter of 2017, would this give an assurance of profits this 2018? Give me your thoughts about this.

Hoping to heard from you
