I run Btcdiv.com, a site listing dividends to bitcoin holders in the form of altcoin forks and airdrop. You've probably heard of Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold, but did you know there are over 50 other forks & airdrops available that you can (or will be able to) claim and then trade for more bitcoin? On Btcdiv.com you can enter your bitcoin address(es) and the site will search the address for the 10 most valuable airdrops. Anyway, I would just like to announce that I've added an Exchanges section to the site. Finding a site where you can trade your free alts for Bitcoin is often the hardest part and hopefully this section will make it easier. I will try to list all exchanges that trade with bitcoin forks & airdrops and exactly what altcoin they trade and if deposits are available. The section is still in rather early stage but I think it's already pretty useful. Please try it out and let me know what you think: https://btcdiv.com

I have been working on a simple site where one can view available altcoin balance on any Bitcoin address. It only works for Bitcoin Gold and Cash right now but I intend to extend on that. I've also compiled a list of over 20 altcoins that gives some sort of dividends to Bitcoin owners, either via airdrops or chain forks. I hope it can be of some use: http://btcdiv.com

I am trying to establish a safe way to split coins in a Bitcoin Core wallet after the fork without risking BTC in exchanges or non-Core clients. My initial thinking was to do it like this: - The original wallet containing BTC is a normal Bitcoin Core wallet fully synced.
- Set up a new Bitcoin Core wallet as well as a Bitcoin ABC wallet.
- Transfer the BTC from the original wallet to the new Core wallet with OP_RETURN "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" which makes the transaction invalid on the new BCC network.
- Stop the original Core wallet (now empty on the original chain) and the ABC wallet and copy the wallet.dat from the original Core wallet to the ABC wallet.
- Restart the ABC wallet with -rescan. The BCC should now show up in the ABC wallet while the BTC are safe in the new Core wallet as the transfer above is only valid on the BTC side. Transfer the BCC to an exchange and sell for BTC.
Would this even work? I would love some advice. In the latest BCC specification there is a new way using SIGHASH_FORKID, but I am unsure how to make use of that instead? The OP_RETURN is still valid but obsolete.

After a lot of work I am happy to announce a new namecoin block explorer on dotbit.me. I have lots of features on my to-do list but the basics are there, including name info for blocks and transactions. I hope it will prove useful. Regards, Tagide https://dotbit.me

Hello, I run a website called dotbit.me where you can register .bit domains (crypto-domains managed by the namecoin network). I try to make the process as simple as possible and accept payments in not only Namecoins but also Bitcoins and Litecoins. In addition to that I am happy to say I just introduced the ability to pay with Primecoins and Peersoins. So if you're interested in the .bit top level domain and own any of those five cryptocurrencies please give dotbit.me a try! Dotbit.me has been online for about a year now and have over 800 users with just over 900 domains using our service. Regards, Tagide dotbit.me

Hi all, I've recently been working on a small but rather useful feature on dotbit.me that lets you browse and register .bit domains that have expired. The .bit DNS system is based on Namecoin, a decentralized cryptocurrency just like Bitcoin. You can download the software at namecoin.info. My website dotbit.me provides a simplified way of registering .bit domains for those who do not want to download the software or do not own namecoins (you can pay with Namecoins, Litecoins and Bitcoins). As you might know, .bit domains automatically expire if they aren't updated at least every 36000 blocks. A lot of domains are released when people forget to update them and that means there's a lot of interesting domains available. By using the link on the frontpage of dotbit.me you can view, sort in a number of ways and register expired domains. I hope it will prove useful. Even those of you that run the namecoin software yourselves can use the feature (no login required) as it is not as user friendly to get this into via the software. Enjoy! Tagide dotbit.me

Hi guys, I just added a new feature on dotbit.me where users can buy or sell their .bit domains (namecoin generated) and get get paid or pay in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Namecoin. I've tried to make the process as easy as possible, please have a look under the Trade Domains tab. All transactions are anonymous, the seller and buyer will not know who they are trading with. The process should also be quick and safe as the seller needs to have the domain in his dotbit.me account and the buyer will need enough coins in his account to cover the price set by the seller. I hope it will prove useful. Regards, Tagide dotbit.me

Hi, I just completed a new feature on dotbit.me where users can buy and sell .bit domains and charge in bitcoins, litecoins or namecoins. The whole process is quick and safe as the buyer needs the required funds in his dotbit.me account to complete the transfer and the domain needs to be active in the sellers dotbit.me account. The transaction is anonymous, neither the seller nor buyer will know who the counterparty of the transaction is. The service is completely free and as domain transfers in and out of dotbit.me is free, I hope this will prove to be a popular way of trading domains using dotbit.me as a type of escrow. Cheers, Tagide dotbit.me

Hi, I run a website called dotbit.me where you can register .BIT domains, a crypto-domain system based on Bitcoin (more info at dot-bit.org). In addition to payments in Bitcoins and Namecoins, I just added the ability to register a .BIT domain using Litecoins. I'm charging 0.1 Bitcoins, 15 Namecoins or 1 Litecoin per domain and year which I hope you'll find fair. Please let me know what you think about the interface. The idea is to make a rather complex process (registering a .bit domain manually) as simple as possible. Thanks! Tagide dotbit.me

Hi, I've been working for a few months on a little project of mine called dotbit.me. It's a simple registrar for .bit domains (using the bitcoin-derived namecoin) and I hope it will prove useful. Features include payments in both namecoin and bitcoin, free domain transfers in or out and free coin transfers in or out. If you already have a .bit domain, transferring it to and from dotbit.me is free! Please note: I would still rate it as in a "beta" stage even though it has a few paying users and have been running smoothly for three months. Thank you for your time! tagide dotbit.me

Hi, I've been working for a few months on a little project of mine called dotbit.me. It's a simple registrar for .bit domains (using the bitcoin-derived namecoin) and I hope it will prove useful. Features include payments in both namecoin and bitcoin (0.1 bitcoins or 25 namecoins per domain), free domain transfers in or out and free coin transfers in or out. The interactions with namecoind and bitcoind proved a bit more complex than I initially though and I would be very grateful if some of you could help me test the features before I take it out of "beta". If you already have a .bit domain, transferring it to and from dotbit.me is free and if you do not, registering a domain on the site is a (IMHO, fair) 0.1 Bitcoins. Thank you for your time!
