1  Economy / Services / Web Hosting with cPanel, $20 per year, get started for free, then BTC! on: January 28, 2015, 06:28:41 AM
Greetings Bitcoin experts!

First of all I am hungry and sleepy so forgive me for forgetting something.

I am offering Web Hosting services with cPanel control to bitcointalk.org users for $20 USD per year, payment by bitcoin.

GoDaddy = $47.88/yr
Hostgator = $47.52/yr
MangoJ =  $20/yr in Bitcoin! (Limited time promotional Intro offer)

They don't accept bitcoin yet but I do.

This offer is limited to the first 20 people.  Then I will level up to $25, and then $30 per year.
Then I get all fancy with graphics and ad campaigns and such.

Reality is there is NO such things as "Unlimited" anything with a web host.  I wish I had an Unlimited hard drive lol, or Unlimited bandwidth, etc.
So to keep it real:
10GB HD limit
100GB monthly Bandwidth, not worried about it, new server.
CPU Usage, please keep cron jobs no faster than 15 minutes, unless you ask first.  10% CPU will be hard to reach as long as you are not scanning an unindex SQL database with 1 million tables 10k times a second.
FTP:  naturally yes.
Domains for your website: Unlimited!
Customer support:  Call center, or me.

Escrow?  Sure!  I can even provide your access first and you pay within 24 hours.

Remember I am not remembering everything.  I will edit this post, and add pretty graphics and details later.
If you would like a website hosted with me, and pay in BTC, PM me and I will get you started!

6  Economy / Computer hardware / Macbook Pro 15" Retina 500GB SSD, 16GB Ram 2.6Ghz i7 for 4.53btc on: September 10, 2014, 08:42:47 PM
Selling my nearly new MacBook Pro 15" with Retina display, 500GB SSD, 16GB ram, 2.6Ghz i7

It is this one:  http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i7-2.6-15-dual-graphics-late-2013-retina-display-specs.html

Craigslist is full of time wasting lowballers and Nigerian scammers.
eBay owns paypal and has fees.

I want to see if I can use Bitcoin for once in my life to the advantage of AVOIDING paypal and fees!

Escrow accepted!
Shipping in Original box OR with bigger box and more padding!
Charger, Apple logo stickers (unpeeled), papers etc included.

You pick the escrow!
Or local pickup!
Or whatever is safe and reasonable!

At the moment BTC is 481.81 USD = 1BTC
This is a 2700 laptop from Apple new, Plus 9.5% sales tax.
so make reasonable offers considering that the box was opened.
The box is not worth $1400, so don't offer $1300 for the laptop.
It has no scratches.

2000 USD = 4.51 BTC
2700 USD = 5.57 BTC
I understand offers will therefore be LESS than 5.57 BTC
Lets calculate shipping too.
You pay escrow fee.  (Most are 2% or less.  0% escrow sites are not trusted by me.)
Plus I have no idea where to cash my bitcoins now that mtgox stole everyones money and ran.

Offers?
BTC Exchange to cash sites?
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTCRaven.com give it the twice over treatment! on: August 27, 2014, 09:41:27 PM
Hello Fellow BTC users!

I have created BTCRaven.com as an escrow website in the hopes to provide a method for safe escrow, wallet, advertising, and eventually simple website api tools for all to copy what paypal offers.

All of these functions exist elsewhere, but I want to provide them all in one place and add other services all in one place.

So I am opening this thread hoping that anyone can find problems, ideas, or suggestions that I should know.
This is an open invitation to attempt to hack my website!
If you can, I would like to hear what you did and how to prevent that from ever happening again.
PM only please.
I do not support people who inform the random public how to attack a website.

Any other topics and suggestions, complaints, ideas, input can be public.
Thank you!
 Cheesy

PS:  Yes BTCRaven.com is online and fully functional, but not yet publicly offered as a service.

9  Economy / Scam Accusations / BEWARE, MTGOX stole $724.52, 60 days and no bank wire yet! on: January 06, 2014, 12:23:09 AM
Hello Fellow Bitcoin people!

I am opening this thread because MTGOX has stolen from me.
On 11-11-2013 I withdrew $724.52 USD from my MTGOX account to my USA bank account.
Today is 1-5-2014 and I have not received my bank wire.
I have opened a support ticket, Request #183807 on December-7-2013 and no reply.

MTGOX has stolen from me.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I need more victims to contact me so we can get the FBI involved.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin API "getbalance" for a spesific account is invalid. on: July 22, 2013, 11:36:47 PM
Hello.

I am testing bitcoind on my server and I noticed some API calls are wrong.
For example "getaccountaddress" is listed to "Returns the current bitcoin address for receiving payments to this account. "
However it creates a NEW address in your wallet and gives it the same account name.  This cannot be right.
But I dont care about that one.

I do care about having multiple "accounts" and getting the current ~available~ balance.
Bitcoind API seems INCAPABLE of telling you the current available balance for an account.
"Getbalance" will only show the available balance for your entire wallet, OR All the coin you have EVER received for a specific account, but not the current balance for a specific account.

I have looked on google to see other people with the same problem and no solution.
Yet other websites can take my bitcoin address and tell me how much I have in my account currently.

How can I get the current balance for one of the many different "accounts"?

(Also the "move" API function does nothing at all.)
12  Economy / Services / Need help with BTC server. Your cost? on: July 04, 2013, 11:29:27 PM
I have many ideas to help expand the Bitcoin community.
I can code in PHP, SQL, XML, HTML, Javascript, by myself.
I have a bitcoin wallet, I have mined over 50 BTC, etc.

However I can not figure out how to do a "Jason"(?) script to make a website that knows when it has been paid.

I need someone to help make a program that will tell my PHP it was paid.
It must know:
when (the date and time)
How much bitcoin was recieved
The bitcoin wallet it was sent to
bitcoin wallet that it was sent from
any other information like "notes" attached to the transaction would be helpful.
Number of verifications?

I am not looking for a cron script that scans the blockchain off some other website.
I want to have a self contained, secure, reliable script that knows BTC was actually received or sent.
I want to also have a function for sending BTC to people.

With this I will make my own website with users, accounts, etc.

If you know how to do this, please let me know your cost.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I can code PHP, but how do I use JSON for bitcoin transactions? on: July 04, 2013, 10:05:16 PM
Does anyone have an example PHP script for reading my wallet transactions?
Or for creating new BTC addresses, sending BTC?

I can code in SQL and PHP, HTML, XML.. but I dont get how to use JSON, or anything with BTC.
14  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / GPU mining is dead now. on: June 30, 2013, 09:30:04 PM
5 minutes ago I went down to the mine and powered off each of my 6 GPU miner rigs.
I ran the numbers, with power at .087 per k watt hour,
 12000M hash speed,
current low BTC rate 94.06
Diff: 21,335,329

I would make 157 USD per month.
But BTC may or may not drop, then after BTC exchange rate fees, pool fees, transfer fees,,
GPU mining is not worth it anymore.  Not for 157 and change for the heat and stress on the equipment.

LITEcoin does not appear to be worth mining.

Has anyone ever tried renting an apartment with "free utilities", moved in a bunch of miners, and used up free power for a while?

I guess it is time to sell of my GPUs.
Yes they did pay for themselves.  I got about 52BTC mining with them.
Paid about 5k for the gear, and paid only 700 in power so far, (Will pay another 900 tops as bills catch up)
Then after I sell off the used gear I made some profit.

18  Economy / Computer hardware / ATI 5870 GPUs =1BTC! 5970s 2.2BTC, and more! ebay too! on: June 27, 2013, 01:47:38 AM
I have a lot of computer gear to sell.

ATI 5970 Graphic cards:  2.5BTC

Free shipping within the USA.
International shipping cost varies.

Recommend for gaming, LTCcoin mining, or other scientific processing that you can't do with ASIC.

I have RADEON, Gigabyte, HIS, XFX, etc.
If you would like one flashed for Mac, let me know.
I am ebaying these also.
Transaction should be through ebay (for feedback reputation and accountability), local to WA state for in person is also fine.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Why cant I reply to any posts? on: February 13, 2013, 06:56:14 PM
I have created an account and been unable to find any "reply" button or any method to respond to any other post.
Creating this new topic under "Bitcoin Forum > Local > Other >" is the ONLY means I have to post on this forum.

NO way is this happening to everyone or the admins would notice nobody is posting.
Is my IP blocked or something?
